Review: Hermès Clic H bracelet

The Hermès Clic H bracelet has been on my wishlist for a while but the Newbury Street store always seemed very intimidating to me. I went to college in Boston and stayed on afterwards for work so I've definitely walked by the store for many years but I never once stepped inside until a few weeks ago. I loved what I saw and I vowed to come back. Tax free weekend in MA was just the little push I needed to return as quickly as I did and it was very timely because I spotted the one. It was love at first sight and trying it on for size sealed the deal.

Here are a some pictures including a few pairings with some of my new and old favorite accessories.

I'm really excited to get a lot of wear out of these pairings. If you were in Boston what did you buy this tax free weekend?

Update 08.17.12: As requested by one of my Instagram followers, I measured the Clic H bracelet which I have in size PM. The inner diameter measures 1 3/4" by 2 1/8". I hope that this review helps those with smaller wrists. :)

Say Yes to the Lace

#OOTD #
Eyelash lace top from Forever 21 (product no. 2000032875), Banana Republic white skinny jeans, Longchamp Belzane hobo, rose gold ToyWatch, Tiffany & Co. jewelry, garnet and diamond ring, Chanel sunnies, Theory and J.Crew skinny belts I wore together for a double strap look, Adrienne Vittadini wedges

I wore this Forever 21 Eyelash Lace top (product no. 2000032875) today and I absolutely adore it! I purchased it via the website about two weeks ago and it's still available in small, medium and large. For reference, I'm wearing size small and I can understand why others would pass on it since it's more of a cropped length.

FIT

I measured the size small for Annie and my own measurements match up very closely with the description on the website in case that helps others that may also be interested. (Note: Annie ended up slimming hers on the size by 1" on each side. I'm wearing it unaltered.)

BACK IN STOCK

The popular blouse with navy bows that was reviewed by Jean, Cee and I is now available in size small at shopruche.com for $38.99. I purchased mine on modcloth.com for $42.99 in May.

Update: Annie mentioned that the Ruche version looks like a different color than the Modcloth version. At first glance, I thought that their stock image was off in color and they describe it as 'vintage-inspired beige' but either way this peach/pink color is still adorable!

Get both while you can ladies! =)

OOTDs via Instagram

For those of you that enjoy eye candy, I've got an entire backlog of OOTDs to share with you below. I've been nurturing my Instagram account while giving minimal attention to my blog. Okay that isn't true (I've been keeping an eye on my blog) but I've been very busy with work and enjoying the summer.

Enjoy!

xo,

Jess

Quick blog-related update: I recently created a Pinterest specific board for my outfit of the days. (You might also be interested in my shopping hits and misses.)

Random observation: When I reviewed my OOTD posts, it appears that one of the bags that I carry a lot is an old favorite that I rediscovered. I'd been looking around for a new bag for some time but I'm so glad that this one is so versatile and classic. I purchased the Gucci Abbey tote in 2007 and it was the 'It bag' for me in college so it's only fitting that it was the first 'luxury' bag I purchased with my own money. I take really good care of my things so there is minimal wear/stains 5 years later and I think it still suits my own personal style. :)

Why Hello Stranger

Wow. Has it really been almost a month since my last post?

Time really flies when you're having fun and I've been fortunate enough to enjoy a great summer right here in Boston. Those of you that follow me on Instagram might have seen glimpses of my daily whereabouts or at the very least you know what I wore or what I ate. If you don't have a smartphone, you can still view my posts  online via Webstagram or please follow my FB fanpage. :) And yes, this my shameless attempt to garner more followers but they should fill the void between my bouts of radio silence.

Speaking about my one month hiatus, would you like to see more updates on here? Andie Mitchell wrote a great post about blogging and I think it's definitely worth reading if you have the time. I stumbled across her blog a while back for the food but I enjoy reading the things she shares with her readers. I'm in constant awe of bloggers that post frequently and kudos to the power bloggers that are so responsive with their follows via social media.

I'll admit I'm way behind on both blogging and reading my favorite blogs. I'm still learning how to juggle blogging in my daily routine and I don't want it to become a chore. I work in a technology related field and started blogging as something fun to do on the side. So far I've enjoyed every minute I've spent blogging, immersing myself in social media (still hate Twitter because I'm long winded) and connecting with others that enjoy/appreciate the same things.

On lighter note, here are a few fun things I recently enjoyed (including a few I do on a repeat basis, namely shopping and eating and hopefully not too many cupcakes are involved):

  • Playing 3D dodgeball at Sky Zone.

If you can get past the smelly, sweaty, ugly rental sneakers then you should have a blast fulfilling your inner child's dreams of jumping up and down, up and down and knocking a few people out in the process. muhaha

  • Warning: Bounce off the walls at your own risk. I almost twisted my ankles doing this. >.<

  • Playing outside. I'm admittedly no good at corn hole, volleyball or badminton but it's nice to enjoy the sun doing outdoorsy things after being holed in the office.

  • #Fun offsite today. Luckily the weather held up so we could play some #outdoorgames. #bbq #summer #summerfun #instafun #jenga #cornhole #badminton #volleyball #swingset #funinthesun #goodtimes #goodfood #instagood #picoftheday #hydrangea
  • Eating cupcakes. Try the daily flavors at Georgetown Cupcake.

    Tried out #Georgetown #cupcakes on #newburyst today. Not bad and better than #SweetCupcakes. #allthingsfluffy #frosting #foodporn #cupcakeheaven #instagood #instafood #ohnomnomnom #yum #nomnation yummy #picoftheday #photooftheday

I like trying new bakeries don't you? The long lines definitely piqued my interest. I think they have good cupcakes but at the same time they didn't knock my socks off. I also heard about Flour Bakery but I have yet to try them.

  • Watching movies. My favorite movies this summer are Ted and The Dark Knight Rises.

  • Shopping on Newbury St. Window shopping is also acceptable. There's nothing like strolling along Newbury St. and popping into shops that catch your eye and did I mention the people watching? If it's too hot for you just duck into Copley or Prudential Mall. :)

  • #baglovin: a glimpse of the #louisvuiton collaboration with #yayoikusama, #beautiful #floral #longchamp bag dressing the window at #neimanmarcus, #gorgeous #colorblocked #pastel #rebeccaminkoff bag at #saks, #gorgeous #sunshine #yellow bag and wallet with

  • Taking a stroll along the Boston Public Garden.

A scenic view with swans, ducks and weeping willows is always a nice way to laze the day away. Bring a book, bring a friend, bring your partner, prepare a picnic. Enjoy some Italian ice at a nearby stand (I love the watermelon flavor).

By the way, how is your summer going? :)
