Lacy Sandals by Munro American, stone nubuck, 7W

I purchased these Munro American sandals last week at Nordstrom. They caught my eye because of the neutral color, scallop and tiny cutout details.  The latex soles also have an adorable flower on each foot.

I wasn't looking for new sandals but I tried these out on a whim and liked them. I originally took home the normal width (M) but when I tried them on again at home I realized that my feet would expand a bit in the summer heat so I exchanged them for the wide width (W). American Munro offers narrow and wider widths as you can see in the above  size chart so you should be able to find the perfect fit for your feet.

Note: These are pricey at $169.95 but hopefully they go on sale so I can get a price adjustment. Nordstrom is very good about honoring price adjustments based on my past experience.

The elastic straps are extremely comfortable and similar to the Andre Assous sandals I purchased last year which I still love and highly recommend. I even bought back ups of the Josie espadrilles in nude and black on sale from Belk. I love to wear the same shoes all the time, year after year but I digress. Getting back to the subject on hand, the Lacy sandals are very flattering on the feet and doesn't look like a wide width shoe. The footbed is very soft and supportive at the same time and there is a small 1 1/4" wedge for a little bit of height.

Style, comfort and versatility are really important to me when it comes to footwear and I'm thrilled to add the Lacy sandal to my spring and summer shoe rotation.

LOFT Fitting Room Reviews and Purchases

***Sale alert: 40% off everything at LOFT with code 4PEEPS. Excludes Lou & Grey.***

This is an extremely long, picture heavy catch up post but I hope this will help similarly sized ladies when shopping at LOFT. For fit reference my current weight is 110 give or take a few pounds, my waist size is 28" although most people don't believe me when I tell them that and I'm 5'2 1/4". (I'm hoping to slim down and become more toned for my wedding in 5 month.) In the meantime, LOFT has never fit me better than at my current weight/measurements because their vanity sizing is more forgiving if you have an "average" body type. I definitely had my share of fit issues with LOFT as well as other mass retailers when I had a more slender build. Now my fit issues have more with their inconsistent sizing. Numeric sizing can be arbitrary so I like to try on various sizes to assess the fit. For my current build I typically take size XXS/00 regular or XSP/0 petite at LOFT.

Without further ado, let's proceed with my backlog of fitting room reviews and/or purchases since my last post in December.

Colorblock Modern Print Peplum Tee

LOFT Modern print peplum tee

Size: XXS
Measurements: 35" chest, 32.5" waist, 23" length
Fit: Loose fit. Fits 1 size bigger.
Purchased and love. It's one of my favorite new tops because it's so feminine and flirty. Like the floral version below this is a very sheer top. The hem is unfinished and I hope that won't be an issue after washing.
