I have a weakness for polka dots. Big dots, little dots, colorful dots… Who is with me?
I bought the above top even though I already have a similar one (worn here). I like it better though because it has smocked sleeves (they call them cuffs on the website) that you can push up and they stay in place. Unlike the other top this one doesn’t leave little traces of gold glitter throughout the day. The smocked shoulders are a nice detail and it’s sheer so I wore a black cami underneath.
Going right along with my polka dot obsession, I ordered this dress with high hopes riding on the positive reviews. (More online reviews have since posted within the 10 days it took for me to receive my order.) Unfortunately, the straps are much too long on me and it’s still on the thin side (perfect for summer) even though it’s lined. Note that this dress has an open back but it still manages to hide your bra (assuming the straps fit you as is).
It’s such a cute and flirty silhouette that I’m debating on whether or not I should try to shorten the straps myself or just return it. It looks great when layered with my marigold jacket and a few other jackets I tried on. Generally, F21’s website measurements are spot on but in this case I found a discrepancy in the waist measurements. I checked a few times to make sure but it’s actually 26″ across the banded waistline (13″ when the item is laid flat) instead of 24″.

The dress is super cute! And it seems to fit you perfectly, with the exception of the straps. I'd say keep it and shorten the straps yourself 🙂
