Crepe Short Sleeve Dress (Left)

Polka Dot Tie Neck Dress (Right)

Both in size 00

As alluded to in my previous post the chances of me placing another order during the 40% off promotion was pretty high and talking myself out of it obviously didn’t work. I ordered the bracelet pictured above, these two dresses along with a red dress which I’m returning (see it on me here and here in size 0 regular). I also got this cami to wear by itself or to layer under other blouses. Size XSP was a tad long to layer under blouses at 24″ because the hem sticks out a little but it looks great when worn by itself. I plan on sizing down to size XXSP to see if that helps with the length for layering.

LOFT Crepe Short Sleeve Dress, size 00
 Crepe Short Sleeve Dress

The measurements of size 00 with the garment laid flat are:

  • 17″ bust
  • 13.5″ waist
  • 33″ length

Decision: Undecided. I still need to get out the wrinkles to assess if I want to keep this dress and I need to try it on with cardigans and blazers for versatility.

LOFT Polka Dot Tie Neck Dress, size XXS
 Polka Dot Tie Neck Dress

The measurements of size 00 with the garment laid flat are:

  • 17″ bust
  • 12.5″ elasticized waist (stretches comfortable to about 14″)
  • 33″ length

Decision: Undecided. I have a weakness for polka dots so I ordered it to try on. I think it looks the same on me in terms of fit as it does on the model in the stock image. Again, I need to try this on with cardigans and blazers  to see how the dress would work with my wardrobe. I think it’s really cute but I have a lot of clothes that I hardly wear.

I learned my clothes hoarding lesson the hard way this past weekend when I sold a bunch of my clothes on my shop account on Instagram for a fraction of what I paid. I felt like I was busting my butt and the only upside is knowing that my clothes will be loved by another home. Less is more and I’m still in the painful process of culling my closet. I might consider using Poshmark since I already have an account but I need to familiarize myself with their features and guidelines. The PayPal fees and shipping fees that I paid out of pocket were sometimes more than Poshmark’s 20% commission fee. If anyone has any selling tips or advice I’d certainly welcome it.

On that note, I hope everyone has a great weekend! I’m sad summer is flying by so quickly and it was chilly enough tonight to remind me that fall will be upon us in under a month. I’m on holiday for a week beginning Saturday but I plan to ship out the necklace for the giveaway as soon as Friday if I hear back from the winner.

xo,

Jess

Thanks Yi-chia! In real life I thought it hit me in a really odd place in the waist so I returned that dress as well as the polka dot dress. 🙁
