Petite Butterfly Print Racerback Cami Dress – size 0 regular
LOFT had another 50% off promotion today with code FIFTY except this time it excluded new arrivals. I apologize for the late sale alert but I’m sure I’m not your only enabler and a total slacker at that lately.
Last week I tried on this butterfly print dress in stores. I spotted the dress just as I was about to head out of the store and fell in love with the print. I can’t seem to find it to purchase online in regular or petite sizing (the stock image doesn’t load which is strange). My gut tells me it’s an in-store new arrival that’s yet to fully hit online but at the same it’s marked as sold out online. I’ll be watching this dress like a hawk because I really want/need this dress. I believe size 00 or 0P should fit me better than the 0 I tried on. I would have loved this dress for our engagement shoot this past Sunday but I ended up wearing this eyelet dress since it seemed more fitting for the occasion. If you’re around my height/weight but bustier then the regular 0 is a petite friendly length and fit.

Pale Chambray Softened Shirt – XSP
I also finally got a chance to try on this striped skirt on my wishlist but unfortunately I found the back slit to be too narrow. I grabbed the chambray shirt just so that I would have something to pair with the skirt but I wasn’t able to reach under to pull out the creases after I tucked it in. Needless to say I walked out empty handed but I’ll be placing an order for some items I’ve been eying including these cute camp pants.
In other news, Everlane sent me the slingback sandals that I ordered in my previous post in the wrong color. I recall another reading another online review that complained about getting the wrong color as well. Unfortunately I didn’t care for how the sandals looked on me (refer to the picture here). Although they appeared really well made, the straps felt too stiff and seemed prone to blisters along the ankle straps. I didn’t like the two snap buttons they used instead of a traditional buckle. It was an odd fit with the straps tucked in but they also looked strange when I tried to untuck the straps to wear them out.
Jess, I saw the butterfly dress available online now: http://www.loft.com/butterfly-print-racerback-cami-dress/330712?colorExplode=false&skuId=16790612&catid=catl000013&productPageType=fullPriceProducts&defaultColor=9039
btw, if you need code 30% off, let me know.
Thanks Jasmine! You're awesome! 🙂 Should I hold out in the hopes that petites is available soon? No worries about the code but I appreciate you offering! I will wait for a better sale.
yep, I'm hoping for petites too! 30% off is not much , especially when they run 50% so often lol.
I just wore that skirt this past weekend for the first time and cut the tags before I discovered the too narrow slit (was too excited…) Needless to say the next time I visit home, I'm going to have my grandma try and make it a bit deeper…the overall fit however was surprisingly pretty good!! (must be the extra weight i've gained recently -_-)
Aww… I hate when that happens and I hope the tiny slit didn't cramp your style. You're lucky you have someone to fix the slit for you! By the way, the butterfly dress is available in petites and regular sizes now. Two lovely ladies alerted me recently. 😉 You should try it on for size although the petites is online only. There's also a cute scalloped edged (along the neckline) camisole I was eying but it's currently sold out in XSP online. I saw it in store in the regular sizes and it's slightly sheer but I think the black color would be a perfect staple. I'll send you a DM on Instagram.
The striped skirt looks bananas on you! Great shot from the back. Lol I see it's on sale! I'll order to try!
Thanks Annie! You'll love the skirt I'm sure. I like Celena's suggestion above to make the slit deeper too.
