Also, LOFT has some cute new arrivals that are 40% off (sweaters & tops only) and I’m eying this coatigan and stripe ruffle blouse. I adore the solid loch blue color since the style is reminiscent of my favorite sleeveless ruffle blouse (last seen here).
Update 10/19: I tried on the coatigan at LOFT Friday night since I forgot a jacket and it was nippy at night. Size XS/S petite was oversized on me so I’m wearing it closed here instead of open like the model in the online stock image. It was a very photogenic topper since the below picture makes it look cute. In real life I didn’t love it on me so I passed.

While browsing in store I also spotted the stripe ruffle blouse in petites and tried it on for size. It fits true to size but I wasn’t sure how I felt about it so I ended up leaving the store empty handed.

I also tried on the Ann Taylor’s boiled wool button up cape the previous week but forgot to share it on my blog. Here is the regular XXS size on me. The belt that goes around your waist fits narrow for this size and the sides are exposed making this is more of a stylish option rather than a practical coat. I wasn’t a huge fan of the boiled wool material so I passed but I can see the appeal if you get the chance to try it on for yourself.

Hi Jess, despite being oversized, the coatigan still looks really cute on you. I was at first interested in this piece, but when I saw it in store the material was not my favorite. I also tried on the ruffle blouse but did not keep it. Somehow I feel the ruffle is big, heavy and not that elegant. In the mirror, it is not a good look, the ruffle just overwhelmed me. too bad, it is a good fit.I know that you haven't ordered any new order since they warned you, but if you have a chance, try on the faux leather trim plaid dress, the striped short sleeve dress and the shoulder zip striped dress. I love them all, they are very cute. I like the color of the paisley dress as well but I spent too much on the recent order so I removed it from my cart. Haiz
Thanks Jasmine! I didn't like the boiled wool material either as cute as it looked on. Certain wools/cashmere make me itchy and break out near my neckline and I really hate that. I was really hoping to find the solid color ruffle blouse to try on because I thought it would look cuter as one color but good to know how you feel about it. My hubby and I had our weekly date night tonight and on our way home I popped into LOFT quickly but I didn't see the items you mentioned to try them on but they're all very good picks! I must have been one of the few ladies that left empty handed (again) while there was a long line at the register. At least they're making sales on a rainy, chilly Thursday here. 😀 I was bummed I couldn't find anything on my wishlist to try on and saw the Lou & Grey black bomber jacket which I've now crossed off my list.
