Thanks again to Annie for telling me about the return of this favorite topper which I have from 2012 in chartreuse, size 12. I rarely shop at J.Crew so I probably would have completely missed this coat until all the sizes were gone during the end of the season. As promised in my previous post, here is a quick review with measurements for those that are curious about how this fits. For those of you not familiar with my sizing please refer to my clothing size reference.

Update 11/9: I exchanged size 14 for size 12 after I confirmed with a J.Crew associate online that size 12 has 13.5″ shoulders and 22.25″ sleeves. I will provide updated measurements here when I receive the new size.
Update 11/14: Updated 2014 version of size 12 measurements below. After trying on both versions I like the overall fit of size 12 better and I may consider getting the sleeves let down by my tailor. My preferred sleeve length for coats is at least 24″.

Fit:
The jacket is on the boxier side for me in size 14 compared to size 12 from last year but the sleeves fit me perfectly. To distract from the boxiness it helps to throw a scarf over it and/or wear it unbuttoned when indoors as pictured below. If you have any questions about the measurements of this year’s version in other sizes I believe you can chat or call J.Crew and one of their associates can give you the exact measurements.
Warmth:
In both cases both last year and this year’s version is a thin coat better suited to climates with warmer winters. However, if you love to layer then this coat is a perfect choice due to the extra room in the body and sleeves.

Lovely, Jess! Ahh so tempted, I'm so tempted! P.s Those boots are everything, great buy!
Thanks Jasmine! You should give it a try. The boots are super cute and the heel lift inserts I bought helped with the issue I had with them digging into the back of my knees when I sit down. However, I find myself reaching for my Stuart Weitzman Justmine boots more since they're lower heel and shaft. 😀
hi jess! how are you liking the burberry raincoat? is it warm and durable? I'm looking to buying one but i'm not sure as there are not many reviews on the internet. if you could give me some feedback on this jacket, it would be greatly appreciated 😀
Hi Maggie! I love this raincoat. It has a removable lining so I found it was warm enough for mid 40's+ degree weather. It runs big so with layering it would definitely work and keep you dry on colder, wet days as well. I only wish the arms had the same warm lining but this jacket is very stylish and I love it so far. Let me know if you need measurements. I thought about doing a blog post on it but haven't gotten around to it (yet).
Love this on you so much I'm going to buy it! What size do you usually take in adult J Crew?
Thank you! 🙂 I usually take 0P or regular 00/XXS if I need to sleeve length to be longer. I hope you like it!
