It’s the third day of spring here in New England but it still feels like winter. Our two week forecast doesn’t seem very promising either so it’s no surprise that I have spring on my mind. It looks like Mother Nature will continue to taunt us with a few “warm” days only to plunge back to colder temperatures that don’t allow us to put away our winter coats just yet. I am hesitant to put my winter wardrobe into storage until I see consistent temperatures above 50-60 degrees but I’m definitely buying up spring things starting with this beautiful Chelsea28 scallop edge tank (recommended by StylishPetite). I adore the darling scallops along the edge and the beautiful floral print that pops against the navy. The arm holes are a tad big on me so I would ideally need a size XXS which has been sold out. Size XS measurements are as follows:

I ordered this eyelet mesh layered top last weekend and finally received it on Friday along with another top I posted on Instagram. The other top is such a fail in the fit that it’s not worth sharing and the consensus was that this top is much cuter anyway. The peach color is gorgeous but it’s unlined so you’ll need your own cami. After taking these photos I realized that I desperately need a nude cami to go underneath it since my light pink cami doesn’t blend in well with the peach. I’m just trying it on below to show the fit. I think it makes me look a tad wide but hopefully a nude cami as pictured in their stock image will make a difference by creating a slimming illusion. Size XS measurements are as follows:

I was determined to use my LOFT cash cards for $25 off $50 full-priced purchases since they expire soon (today) along with the code LOVESPRING so I went in store after a late day at work last week. I left with these cute scallop chambray riviera shorts since their current sale doesn’t include any of the items in my wishlist. Yes I am weak against LOFT but usually I don’t use up all my cash cards and I still have one left in my wallet so they didn’t take all my money. I believe I should have more cash cards but I never received them with my other order due to how they split up shipment by having items sent from their local stores and distribution centers. Please note that if this ever happens to you then you should call customer service and they will make a note in your account. You will need to call in to have them place a phone order for you but this means you can use all the cash cards at once instead of placing separate orders.
Size 00 regular measurements of the scallop chambray riviera shorts are as follows:
30″ waist (these rest right at your hips)
11.5″ total length
4″ inseam
I also tried on the scallop jacquard riviera shorts in black last weekend (see it on me here) but I noticed those are fit a bit looser despite being a similar style.
Size XXSP measurements of the ink dot rib trim tank are as follows:
10″ shoulders (the narrower straps means your bra straps may show but I have small shoulders)
32″ bust
36″ along the bottom hem before the opening for the rounded shirttail hem
24.5″ total length

I was eying this button back softened shirt online but I’m glad I didn’t get it because when I tried it in store on I realized that it was too boxy and see through for layering anything under it successfully. It’s really cute with the cutout details and buttons down back but I passed on this but I figured I’d share in case anyone else was curious about how it fit.

I watched Insurgent with my husband on Friday and of course there is a LOFT Outlet right across from our favorite movie theater. Naturally I popped in to see if there were any cute new arrivals. I took a quick cursory glance and spotted this lace sleeve and hem tee in white plus they had my size so I was ecstatic. I thought these tees were all sold out but I was able to get this on clearance for $11.99 which is better than the ~$19 I paid for the grey one I bought earlier this month. They’re perfect for wearing alone or for layering.
Spring and summer are my favorite seasons because of the warmer temperatures, extra sunlight and of course all the pretty clothes. There are so many things on my ever changing wishlist so I figured I’d share them here along with some of my recent purchases. Every year I always find myself on the lookout for the following:
1) Cropped blazers and cardigans
I’ve been eying this epaulet cardigan from the latest Scandal Collection from The Limited. I’m unsure of their sizing so I’m hesitant to order but I love the way it drapes when buttoned.
2) White pants
3) Breezy tops and blouses
4) Feminine dresses
I’m obsessed with this Hattie dress by Boden in the multi parosols print. I keep getting their catalogs in the mail and one day I’ll probably cave in and order out of curiosity. I haven’t worn skirts lately but I had bookmarked this high waist grid skirt (also from the latest Scandal Collection from The Limited) and it’s now practically sold out in most sizes. 🙁
5) Comfortable sandals and shoes (I lean towards neutral footwear)
6) Light jackets for those cool spring and summer nights
7) A bag that pulls together the look
8) Accessories to complete the outfit
