I loved the marled knit bateau sweater so much I bought it in both dusty grey and blue fog.  I’ve paired them with different shells underneath to slightly change up the look as seen in this this post. This sweater has been on heavy rotation in my wardrobe and it’s a light sweater that will transition well into spring.

I wore this bold stripe pocket blouse to a meeting earlier this week with my comfy, new skinny jeans from Banana Republic. After trying on 25/0P in stores I realized that I needed to size down to 24/00P because they run about one size too big and the material is very stretchy. They’re currently $29.99 with code EGGHUNT. These skinny jeans are such a good deal right now that only size 00P is left but the ‘short’ inseam should be the same/similar. The petite inseam on this pair is on point for petites with no hemming required.

The neutral rondelle chain necklace is the second statement necklace I purchased from LOFT and I absolutely love the smaller size and sparkle. It’s just the perfect touch of girly glam.

Ann Taylor Scallop Lace Dress, size 0P (LEFT)
LOFT Floral Lace Dress, size 00P (RIGHT, review here)

Last week I tried on both the Ann Taylor scallop lace dress (StylishPetite informed me that this dress was back again this season) and the LOFT floral lace dress in size 00P (review here). Both dresses are gorgeous but the v-neck on the Ann Taylor version is lower and the dress is more figure hugging giving it a more sexy vibe. I personally prefer the LOFT version because I think it’s prettier and white (the lining is a cool/pale blue) as opposed to cream/off white.

Scalloped Crop Illusion Dress, size 00P (see review of size 00P and 0P here)

I tried on this scalloped crop illusion dress again since the store I visited had steamed it which makes such a huge difference. However, no matter how I look at it, the bust darts on the sides just don’t lay perfectly on my small chest and they would need to be taken in. See size 00P on StylishPetite here. Lasercut Scallop Flounce Dress, size 00P

I’ve been eying this lasercut scallop flounce dress online and had I ordered size 00P to try but I’ve yet to receive it in the mail. Today I was able to find it in stores to try on for size and petites runs about one size larger since I usually take 0P and the length hits a few inches above my knees. It’s a really cute dress if you’re into the drop waist style and the laser cut details at the neckline and hem are on point. Note that the regular missy size does run really big and long as I noted before and I believe at least one online reviewer noted this as well.

Update 3/31 (I just received this dress in the mail today) – Size 00P measurements:

11.5″ shoulders
32″ bust (measured pit to pit)
36″ along the bottom hem right where the flounce hem begins
32″ total length

Blossom Cropped Cardigan, size SP

This v-neck blossom cropped cardigan looks really cute with the big blossom print and I like the true cropped fit. This cardigan has a light pink tinge that isn’t showing up in my photo above but you can see what I mean in the stock image of the similar blossom cotton cardigan. I’m also loving this cropped cotton cardigan in morning aqua and whisper white (back again for 2016 here). A good cropped cardigan is essential for staying warm in the chilly office once they start blasting the air conditioner.

Lasercut Scallop Shell, size XSP (I tried on and reviewed size XS regular in my previous post)

The LOFT I visited today at Natick Mall had this lasercut scallop shell in petites so I tried on size XSP which actually fits me fairly decently. I didn’t find the petite sizing to be too short or boxy but the arm holes of this shell are still a a little big on me as you can see above.

Relaxed Trench, size XXSP

I also tried on this relaxed trench in XXSP and there is a lot of extra fabric on the sides that when I cinch it I don’t like how it bunches. I’m not sure if I like the ruched sleeves but they make pushing up the sleeves and keeping them there that much easier. I wish this trench was available in a classic khaki color in addition to this blue color. See it styled by Cece Wong here.

Windy Day Anorak, size SP

I spotted this windy day anorak on the rack in size SP and it was the only one so I figured I’d try it on for size. Size SP fit very boxy on me but cinching in the waist helps give this jacket some shape. The fabric has a nice smooth feel to it and the gold hardware makes it look more polished (see another picture here). Petite sizes appears to be sold out online but the regular missy sizing is still available.

Contrast Collar Utility Blouse, size SP

I saw this contrast collar utility blouse online and wanted to check it out in store. I tried on size SP which fits similar to regular XXS (my usual size for their button up blouses) which is currently out of stock online. The white collar against the light blue body really stands out in person.

Striped Rib Trim Tank, size XXSP

This striped rib trim tank as well as the solid version today fit exactly like the ink dot rib trim tank which I own and love (see my review here). I did notice that the way they finished the tank along the armholes and neckline has very visible stripes in  a crisscrossing direction. The overall look is very cute and crisp with the thin stripes if you can get past this detail when you see the top in real life.

Jack Rogers Liliana (runs true to size to half a size smaller, may be best for narrower feet)

I ordered these Jack Rogers Liliana sandals from Piperlime last week when I had a coupon code for 40% off. The code wasn’t supposed to work on this Jack Rogers but it did so I made out like a bandit. I ordered the bone and platinum colors to try as well as the Lauren style but this color and style was my favorite out of the three pairs. Note that the front strap is kind of tight so its probably best for narrower feet but otherwise I found the Liliana style to run true to size to half a size smaller. I ordered them in size 7.5 and I usually take size 7-7.5 in most brands. This is probably my better judgement but I’ve decided to keep this pair and try to break them in. I really hope the straps will stretch out.

 Kate Spade Lily Avenue Carrigan Leather Tote in black/pebble

Lastly, I tried on this at Kate Spade Lily Avenue Carrigan Leather Tote (recommended by StylishPetite) at Nordstrom and I love the simplicity of this style with the scallop edges at the top and the contrasting color inside. You’ll notice that the hang tag even has a cute bow detail. It’s a large bag about the size of a LV Neverfull MM but I think it still works for someone around my height (for reference I’m 5′ 2 1/2″).
