I received all the items from my LOFT orders on Friday and tried them on yesterday for size. I can’t believe I got them for 55% off and every piece worked out except for the scalloped crop illusion dress (review here) due to the generous cut of the dress. Definitely size down if you’re considering this dress. I’m still debating if I should exchange it because I’ll need to tailor it to fit no matter which size I chose.

Here are some updated at home try-ons and reviews in case anyone is interested in these pieces with the current sale. I hope LOFT will offer free shipping or a lower minimum shipping more often. I just grabbed a few staples I missed getting last week for $87.50 and I love that I didn’t have to cough up $8.95 for shipping or mull over what else to order to meet the usual $125 minimum.

LOFT Striped Ladder Lace Tee, size XSP

LOFT Striped Ladder Lace Tee, size XSP

I originally tried on this striped ladder lace tee in XS regular in this post which helped me determine that size XSP would be a better fit. This top has a boxy fit but due to the silky material it drapes well on me. It’s also sheer due to the thin poly material but it’s not see through except for the tiny ladder lace detail along the sides of the shirt.

Size XSP measurements:

14″ shoulders
36″ bust (measured pit to pit)
38″ along the bottom right before the split hem at the hips
23″ total length

LOFT Scallop Riviera Shorts with 4 inch inseam, size 00

Scallop Riviera Shorts with 4 inch inseam, size 00 regular

I also bought these scallop riviera shorts in white size 00 regular. I had originally purchased these shorts in chambray (review here) but I think the chambray version fits on size bigger due to the different fabric they used. Update 6/8: I’d say these scallop riviera shorts fit about one size smaller in the white version and I would recommend going up a size. The fabric for the white version also has no stretch/give. I like the scallop hem detail a lot so I may need to reorder them in size 0 and keep size 00 for when I’m slimmer.

LOFT Striped Rib Trim Tank (size XXSP) & Scallop Riviera Shorts (size 00)

LEFT: Ink Dot Rib Trim Tank, size XXSP (review here)

RIGHT: Striped Rib Trim Tank, size XXSP
Scallop Riviera Shorts with 4 inch inseam, size 00 regular

I love these rib trim tanks from LOFT so much I got them in the ink dot, striped and solid versions to wear alone and for layering purposes (review here).

LOFT Embroidered Side Slit Tee, size XXS

Embroidered Side Slit Tee, size XXS regular

This embroidered side slit tee is another one I tried on in regular missy size XS in store (review here). Size XXS fits me perfectly and I ordered it in morning aqua as well.

LOFT Banded Cotton Tee, size XS

Banded Cotton Tee, size XS

Lastly, I ordered this banded cotton tee since I love half sleeves if they fit my arms and the sleeves are perfect without being too tight/too short. I wore this top out for our weekly date night on Friday and we were indulging on lots of oily, heart attack inducing food in the dark theater so of course dropped something on it. I promptly washed the shirt since oil stains can be stubborn and found that it washed well in cold and air dried (I never dry my shirts for fear of shrinking them). The shirt is very sheer when worn with a white bottom but not so bad when paired with dark jeans. I also tried it on tucked into my new textured flounce skirt from Ann Taylor yesterday when I was taking photos for the blog (review and measurements here).

The flounce skirt is really cute on you. Have you seen the blush chiffon top AT pairs this skirt with on their site? I thought that looks like your style too.

Thanks Tracey! I haven't seen that top in stores but thank you for the recommendation. 🙂 It looks very feminine and classic.

I love your choice of sandles. They pair with your outfits perfectly. Are Bandolino Mikea Sandals comfortable?

Just wanted to de-lurk and say I really appreciate your detailed LOFT posts! I happened to be online when LOFT sent out the email last night about CYBER50…and I immediately came to your site to re-read your recent posts about LOFT purchases. I am usually XXSP so whenever you mention needing to size down on a top it's really helpful since I know it probably won't work for me. Thanks again!

Thanks Leann! Yes these Mikea sandals are very comfortable and they have a walkable 3" heel. I have slightly wider Asian feet so I usually have an issue with this style squeezing my feet/flesh too much but not so with this pair. They're very slimming and flattering. If you have narrow feet then this style will not work since it's meant for normal to wider feet in my opinion. The nude color I've only been able to find at DSW and at $49.95 it's such a steal! 🙂

You're welcome, Caitlyn. Thanks so much for your feedback! I'm glad that you're able to use my reviews to make an informed decision about which size to purchase. I hope your new goodies work out! 🙂
