LOFT is having another 40% off EVERYTHING sale. No code required. The sale ends tonight so apologies for this late post so close to midnight. On the other hand, if you’re a late night shopper then I guess you’re in luck. Perhaps they’ll extend the sale since they seem to do that a lot lately. This latest promotion includes Lou & Grey.
To get a total of 55% off after discounts, use the stackable code INSIDER328 for an additional 25% off full-price purchases of $100 or more. The previous code I’ve been sharing since the end of March expired so this is a new code I received via email. It’s supposed to exclude Lou & Grey according to the fine print but I found that it works on Lou & Grey. Please feel free to let me know in the comments below if the code works for you like the last one did since the previous one turned out to be a reusable code.

Here are some of my recent try-ons but there are actually a few more pieces I received in the mail. Please follow me on snapchat @whatjesswore for live updates and you’ll see my unhealthy obsession with bubble tea. I’ll try to update this blog post tomorrow if I can get in pictures in good lighting.

Lou & Grey Checked Shirtdress, size XSP
I ordered this Lou & Grey checked shirtdress in size XSP last week as soon as I noticed that petite sizing was available. The dress is really comfortable and soft but I think it runs a little big due to the extra fabric above the cinched waist (from the back view you can see how the extra fabric balloons out) so I probably need XXSP. Unfortunately, the dress is currently sold out online in the smaller sizes. I’m hesitant to give it up so I’ll think about it some more before I make up my mind about keeping it or returning it.
Size XSP measurements:
15″ shoulders
36″ bust (measured pit to pit)
33″ waist when uncinched
12″ sleeve circumference
35″ total length
40″ circumference along the bottom of the shirttail hem

LOFT Drapey Cargo Jacket, size XSP (see size XS regular on me here)
LOFT Heart Broken In Shell, size XSP
I also ordered this drapey cargo jacket in size XSP after trying on regular XS in stores and I’d say that it fits true to size. It has a boxy fit but still drapes well and looks cute. This jacket isn’t lined so it offers absolutely no warmth. See it on Kay here. Update 6/4: Also available in light matcha green.

LOFT Heart Broken In Shell, size XSP (see size XS regular on me here)
I finally received this heart broken in shell and size XSP fits me perfectly. Unfortunately, I just noticed that someone must have snagged my top from the store it was shipped from but the pinholes are really small so it’s not really noticeable. This top fits true to size and it’s not too sheer especially with a nude bra on.

Lou & Grey Striped Scarf (currently sold out online)
I’ve been eying this Lou & Grey striped scarf and it’s absolutely gorgeous in real life. Luckily I ordered it when I did because it looks like it’s currently sold out online. One of my instagram friends wanted it so it’s now on the way to her home but hopefully I come across another and if not then it’s not a big deal since I have too many scarves anyway. Scarves are one of my favorite accessories.

LOFT Relaxed Utility Jacket, size XSP (see size SP on me here; also seen on Cece Wong here)
Banana Republic perforated mesh wrap
Madden Girl Poppyy Espadrille Flat (review here, similar, Target version here as recommended by My Girly Armour)
I’ve been anticipating this relaxed utility jacket and ordered it in size XSP after trying on SP in stores. I’d say that it fits true to size and I love the cinched in waist and storm flap in the back. I wore it out today but it was chilly (high of around 60°F) and windy in Boston today so I was shivering even with a scarf and thin sweater on especially once the sun went down (low of 43°F). Similar to the drapey cargo jacket I’d say that both jackets are more cute than functional. Maybe I’m just a wimp against the cold but I took my husband’s Northface windbreaker to wear over my clothes on the way home.

LOFT Lace Sleeve Tee, size XXS regular (see size XS regular on me here)
LOFT Neutral Rondelle Chain Necklace (sold out online)
This lace sleeve tee is another top I’ve been eagerly anticipating and I ordered XXS regular after trying on XS regular in stores. XXS regular fits me a lot better but when I looked at the photos of this top it didn’t seem to do me any favors and I thought it made me look a bit wide. I’d say this top runs true to size.
Size XSP measurements:
15″ shoulders
36″ bust (measured pit to pit)
10.75″ sleeve length
13″ sleeve circumference
23″ total length in the front
24.5″ total length in the back
36.5″ circumference along the bottom of the shirttail hem

LOFT Sketched Palm Ruffle Trim Henley Shell, size XXSP (see size XSP on me here)
My coworker bought this henley top in the solid colors but I saw this sketched palm ruffle pattern in store today and tried it on for size since I just love this print. The arm holes of size XXSP were a little tight but the overall fit looked better than XSP which looked noticeably boxier on me. Note that my coworker is shorter than me at almost 5′ but she has a large bust so she told me she took the regular missy size since she prefers the longer length to cover her butt.

LOFT Lacy Hem Tank, size XXSP
I also tried on this lacy hem tank in size XXSP since it seemed really big on the rack and I found that it fits me perfectly. I’d say that this top runs about one size bigger. The white version is slightly see through since you can sort of see the outline of my nude bra. See the mosaic version on Megan.

Madewell Karina Slingback Sandal
I’m always on the lookout for comfortable summer sandals options. Today I tried on these Karina slingback sandals in store and I’m in love. I slipped on size 8 since it was on display and they fit me really well but I wish I tried on size 7.5 for comparison but the sales associate was nowhere to be found in the shoe section. I typically wear size 7-7.5 in most brands and the straps were very comfy for my slightly wider Asian feet. I wish I ordered them during last week’s sale but they’re on my wishlist for now. I’m also eying these Lyndsay ankle-strap botanical floral espadrilles from Talbots (30% off with code FRIENDS30), these flat chain sandals (in black) and these flat leather sandals (in both colors) from Zara. I also tried on the Talbots Peggy gold heel sandals recommended by ExtraPetite. They seem to be very good quality and the soles have really good cushioning. I needed them in size 7.5 so they may run a half size smaller if you have wider feet like me.
To end this blog post here are a few outfits that I wore recently. You may be sick of seeing this blazer but I love this Forever 21 open-front crepe blazer so much I ordered one for my sister and I also got another one in black. Get 21% off today using code SHOPNOW.

Thanks for reading and happy shopping!
Your posts are always so helpful, Jess! :)I had that Lou & Grey scarf in my cart during that 50% off but I didn't pull the trigger because of shipping…now I wish I did! It looks like it would match everything.I'll have to keep an eye on those Madden Poppyy flats to see if they come back in size 5. I saw the Target version, but sadly Target shoes usually don't come that small.Hope you're having a good weekend!
