Update 5/25: There are two sales happening now at LOFT.
First, get 40% off everything at LOFT (Lou & Grey exclusions apply) plus earn TWO $25 cash cards for every $50 you spend in stores and online. Since no code is needed you can use the stackable code INSIDER328 for an additional 25% off full-price purchases of $100+. That’s 55% off full-price styles after discounts!
For the second sale, get an additional 60% off sale styles at LOFT with code FLASH. Online only. Sale ends 5/26 3AM ET. Since you can only use one coupon code per order you will need to shop the sale on full-price styles separately. My favorite Lou & Grey cowl neck tunic is now under $15 and this cropped cotton cardigan is now $16 after discounts (it’s back again for summer 2016 here). The below eyelet dress is from April 2014 as reviewed in this old post. My mom helped me fix the straps last year but I didn’t wear it until yesterday for church.

Here are try-ons from my recent LOFT haul:
I ordered this embroidered babydoll dress in 00 regular after trying on size 0 in store. Unfortunately, I think it’s still too loose on me as you can see from the back picture but it works if you like a looser fit. I may seek out size 0P to try on before making up my mind. I’d say the dress runs 1 size bigger. It’s 61% cotton and 39% linen and the lining is 100% cotton. The care tag says is machine washable and I’m hopeful it will do well washed in cold and air dried. Size 00 regular measurements: 34″ bust, 32″ at the empire waist (where the embroidery ends) and 35″ total length.
Update 6/1: I received the embroidered babydoll dress in size 0P and it still fits me really loose. The measurements are as follows: 33″ bust (measured pit to pit), 31″ at the empire waist (where the embroidery ends) and 34″ total length. Visually I thought it looked the same as 00 regular but the measurements say otherwise. At this point I’m not sure if I should reorder 00P or try to find it in stores but it’s quite frustrating to find a third size to try on.
Embroidered Babydoll Dress, size 00P
Update 6/8: I received the embroidered babydoll dress in size 00P today and it fits me better in the bust but I think the dress still looks roomy on me especially from the back view. I actually think it looks better on me from the back in 00 regular pictured above since 00P flares out a lot more. I’m sure that’s the intended style since it’s a babydoll dress but I also couldn’t find a cardigan or jacket I own to wear over it without looking frumpy. At this point I’m leaning towards returning the dress despite my efforts to find the right size. The measurements of size 00P are as follows: 32″ bust, 30″ at the empire waist (where the embroidery ends) and 33.5″ total length. Refer to the video I saved from my Snapchat (username: whatjesswore) of how it fits here.
I ordered this short sleeve trapeze dress to try since I love dresses with sleeves so I don’t have to feel obligated to wear a cardigan. I really love the draping of this dress and it fits true to size. The material is light and airy and since it’s black it’s not see through. Old Navy also has a similar jersey swing dress. Update 6/1: I wore and washed this dress once while on vacation last week before I decided that size XXS was too much fabric. I gave it to my sister who is 5’7″, 120 pounds and it fits her perfectly. I’ll look for it online and/or stores in XXSP or XSP to see which one fits me better. Petite sizes keep appearing and disappearing online for this dress so it’s a pretty popular item.
This summer leaves maxi dress is my favorite new maxi! It’s very flattering and the perfect length for petites at 49″ total length. It’s a few inches above the floor on me with flats so it’s not sweeping the streets of Boston. As mentioned in my previous post this maxi dress runs small in the chest so you may need to size up if you have a larger bust. For the really petite, I looked at size XXSP on the rack last week when deciding to try on size XSP and it was very small and noticeably shorter.
I have a soft spot for knotted details and I just had to order this Lou & Grey knotstripe dress (also available in solid black here) to try on for size. Size XXS regular fits me well and I love the draping but I didn’t like how thin and sheer the material was. For example, you can clearly see the white price tag in the back view. I was also at a loss what to wear over the dress given the placement of the knot detail I couldn’t pair it with any of my jean jackets or utility jackets. I think it would look very chic/edgy with a cropped leather jacket which I do not own (if you have any recommendations please share). My husband loves this dress but I’m leaning towards returning it. It’s a little to sexy for my taste.

I ordered a few shirts for my husband and two pairs of these marine ankle skinny jeans. Update 5/31: I received the marine ankle skinny jeans but unlike my prior fitting room try-ons I noticed the wash makes the knees seem worn out so I returned them and will keep looking for new, comfortable skinny jeans.
Update 5/24:I tried on the following items in stores today.
Medium Wash Skinny Ankle Jeans, size 0/25P
The textured moto jacket looked like it had really slim sleeves and runs small so I tried on 2P for size which I was surprised fits me really well. I just wish the jacket was more cropped because the fabric looks really expensive and I love all of the details. Next, I tried on this layered contrast tank in XXSP but it was a bit tight for me in the chest so I need it in XSP. I couldn’t find this gray color online but I love the layered look of this top and have it on my wishlist for now. I also tried on this pretty medallion lace top in XXSP and it fits really well but I wish the opening for your head had a slit or zipper for easier on/off. I suspect to see makeup stains along the neckline due to other people’s try-ons. Size XSP looked much wider so I didn’t bother to try it on for comparison. Lastly, I tried on these medium wash skinny ankle jeans in size 0/25P and they fit me really well but I personally didn’t like the distressing on this pair at all once I put them on. I cuffed them because the length was about 1″ too long on me and I don’t like when jeans bunch up at the bottom.
