I ordered this mini city bag on Friday and just received my entire order today! I was really excited to get this bag since it the shape looked so chic and I love the subtle pop of yellow which they call lime green.

After I removed all of the protective wrapping I noticed some small quality issues with the bag I received in the mail. There’s a small nick on the faux leather that was covered by the front flap (top left picture below). There’s a small white nick on the corner, back edge of the flap (top right picture below). There’s some glue residue on the fabric above the label (bottom left picture). Lastly, the stitching on the inner strap wasn’t finished very neatly (bottom right picture). Despite all of these defects I decided to keep the one I received since it’s bound to happen eventually due to the price point ($49.90). Plus all of the small/tiny defects can’t be seen since it’s all inside, behind or underneath. I admittedly just wanted to wear the bag right away too so there’s that. 🙂

In terms of sizing, the bag is very small but it does have two snap buttons that when unfastened allow the bag to expand. It fits my iPhone 5 (work phone) with my thick rabbit case, iPhone 6 (the regular size), my key chain, extra cell phone charger and a small wallet. The bag measures 5.5″ x 6.5″ x 3.75″ which is close to the measurements on their website. The detachable strap measures 43.5″ end to end which is a 21.75″ drop. For someone my height the strap works as both a crossbody bag and shoulder bag. Refer to the first picture in this post.

I also ordered these sandals pictured above. The flat chain sandals run true to size and the gold ones are just gorgeous on. I ordered size 6 1/2/EUR 37 and they fit like size US 7 since the back of my foot sticks out just a little bit but not enough to cause me to size up. On the other hand the glossy flat sandals the run about a half size bigger as size 6 1/2/EUR 37 fits like size US 7.5 so my foot fits perfectly within the confines of the sole of the sandals. Both styles are very comfortable for my slightly wider Asian feet.
Here’s what the flat chain sandals look like on me:

I’ve been eying this structured mini messenger bag for a while but I already have a similar bag from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collaboration. It’s made really well of sturdier material than the mini city bag and reminds me of saffiano leather. I just had to snap a picture of it a few months back when I spotted it in stores. I noticed they just came out with a cute yellow animal print version while I was browsing the new arrivals online today.
