Ann Taylor Collarless Tipped Jacket, size 2P (review of size 0P here)
Piperlime Polkadot top (old)
Banana Republic Indigo Denim Leggings, size 0/25 short (review here)
Zara Flat Chain Sandals in gold (item no. 2660/001, review here)
I tried on this collarless tipped jacket after seeing on Jean on Instagram this past weekend. My store only had size 2P available as the smallest size but it fit me decently. I need size 0P (review here) for a better fit since the sleeves of 2P look really wide and the shoulders are a bit wide on me. The sleeves fit like 3/4 sleeves on me but I do have longer arms so the sleeves may fit like bracelet length sleeves on most petites. The color is definitely white and not off white and the two patch pockets on the bottom are functional. The jacket is also lined and made of a good high quality weight fabric making it a great investment piece. I’d say this jacket fits true to size and I hope Ann Taylor has a sale soon so I can scoop it up. UPDATE 6/5: This collarless tipped jacket is now on sale for 30% off and if you use the stackable code ANNT3BE for an additional 25% off full price purchases of $100+ then it’s 47.5% off or $83.47 after discounts!
Ann Taylor Collarless Tipped Jacket, size 2P
I also tried on this adorable floral eyelet sheath dress in 0P since the print looked much cuter in real life. It’s very preppy but the print is too busy for my taste so I’m not sure I’d get it as I’m sure I’d tire of it quickly but I figured I’d share in case anyone else was interested. The shoulders straps cut in a bit so your bra strap may show but I usually wear a cardigan over my shoulders so it doesn’t really matter. I tried to tuck my bra straps in as best as I could in the pictures below. I’d say this dress fits true to size but runs small in the bust so you may need to size up if you have a larger chest.
LOFT Lacy Tee, size SP
I tried on this lacy tee last week in SP and I love the lace details on the sleeves and hem which make it look really cute. This tee fits me so much better than this lace sleeve tee (review of size XS here, size XXS review here) which ended up being too big and very boxy. It’s also not too sheer and SP fit me but I would prefer size XSP for a more fitted fit and drape. I’d say this tee fits true to size. You can also refer to this snapchat (username @whatjesswore) clip I saved here.
LOFT Striped Linen Flutter Shell, size XXSP
I saw this striped linen flutter shell on Petite Hmong Mommy and decided to try it on for size. Size XSP fit really big and boxy and size XXSP was still kind of big and boxy on me but it’s very cute if you like this type of henley top. I’d say this top runs one size bigger so size down accordingly.
I ordered this elephant stretch bracelet set last week and it’s cute but too casual for my taste. As another reviewer pointed out, the bracelet with the elephant charm is the biggest one but it stacks well with the other bracelets in the set. I also ordered this pave sparkle bangle set on final sale for ~$8-9 but it was much too big on me and it is a noisy set if you wear all three bangles together. If anyone is looking for this set please let me know. My coworker who usually wears all Silpada pieces liked the set but she couldn’t get it on without bruising her hand.
Finally, here are some outfits I wore on vacation last week. I also wore these outfits on Sunday for church (as seen in this post), the previous Monday (details this post) and the outfit at the top of this post this past Saturday. Since I started blogging a lot more I stock up on outfit posts for Instagram so I planned and took most of my outfit photos prior to going on vacation. I went through my spring and summer clothes and pulled out some old favorite pieces from last year. It’s always grounding to realize how many clothes I hoard from LOFT and other retailers even after selling and donating the pieces I’ve tired of or never reached for. This leads to my shameless plug for a new feature on my blog in case you missed the announcement in my previous post. Please refer to the new page at the top of my site for a list of all in-stock items I reviewed from LOFT. Items I own and didn’t return are marked with the label ‘own it, love it’. After reviewing the obsessive list I put together, I was able to see that I try on and review more than I buy and keep (thank goodness).
