I tried on this linen cotton denim jacket in size XSP and it’s a relaxed fit but I prefer size XXSP for a more cropped fit. The sleeves were short on me (I prefer a 23″ sleeve length) so I rolled them up twice but they should fit other petites perfectly. From what I can tell this looks like the same exact jacket from last year (see my review here).

LOFT Modern High Waist Skinny Ankle Jeans in Dark Rinse Wash, size 24/00 regular
I wanted this cute trapeze tee after seeing it on Cece here. I tried on size XS regular but it’s very roomy and there was too much excess fabric on the sides and in the back. Almost all sizes are sold out online but there was plenty of size XS and M in the sales rack at my local LOFT. I also tried on the modern high waist skinny ankle jeans in 24/00 regular because it looked like they might fit but the 28″ inseam was too long and the thighs were a bit too baggy on me. I have a bigger waist but thin legs so I gravitate towards super skinny legging jeans which have more stretch. The waist of the 24/00 regular fits more like size 2 since LOFT has vanity sizing on their bottoms requiring you to go down 1-2 sizes.

I stopped by J.Crew tonight to see if I could try on the Elsie pumps and I was delighted that my local store had them in my size to try on. I asked the sales associate to try on size 7.5 for comparison but size 7 fit me perfectly so I’d say these run true to size to half a size larger since I’m usually size 7.5 in heels. I’m waiting for them to go on sale because the kraft brown color is the perfect neutral color for fall outfits. Please refer to the clip I saved from my snapchat (username: whatjesswore) here for my in-store try-on . If the video is very blurry I took a screenshot here. The Elsie pumps are very comfortable since I have slightly wider feet and there is a bit of toe cleavage. The 3 1/2″ heel height and classic silhouette make the Elsie pumps a classic style that will surely become a closet favorite.
Lastly, I received my latest Old Navy order last tonight and I wanted to do a quick update yesterday so I had added the following review to the end of my post from 8/1. However, I believe this prevents most of my readers from seeing the updates so I’m bumping this review to the bottom of this post. The girls jeggings in dark wash, size 10 plus are made of a thin stretchy material with a 27.5″ waist and 25″ inseam so they were too short for me. The pockets are smaller so if you have curves then the small pockets provide less coverage and look very odd in the back. The girls super skinny jeans in rinse wash, size 10 plus have a 27.5″ waist and a 26″ inseam so they were very close to my ideal inseam of 26.5″. This pair had less stretch than the jeggings and fit like a women’s 2P. I rubbed my fingers against the wash but I didn’t notice any color transfer. I prefer my skinny jeans to have more tapered ankles so this pair didn’t make the cut for this reason. The girls jeans come with an adjustable elastic waistband which is very helpful if you need a more custom fit or have waist gap issues.
Old Navy Girls Sleeveless Swing Dress in white bird print, size XL
I also tried on this girls sleeveless swing dress in size XL and it’s unlined but it shouldn’t be see through with nude undergarments. The girls size XL fits like a regular XXS or XSP in my opinion and measures 34″ in the bust, 33″ total length in front and 39″ total length in back. You can also refer to my at home try-on that I saved from my snapchat (username: whatjesswore) here. I thought the back of the dress had too much material making it look more like a mumu or maternity dress but the front was super cute with the two drapey pockets and shorter hemline.
The women’s version of the printed swing dress is very loose fitting dress in the smallest size they offer. Size XSP measurements are as follows: 34″ bust, 31″ waist, 33″ total length. Refer to this clip that I saved from my snapchat here. In addition to the keyhole opening in the back there is a hidden side zipper that I didn’t notice right away. The dress is so loose that I was able to pull the dress over my head without unzipping it. On the plus side the women’s dress is lined unlike the girls version. I steamed out the wrinkles last night and I ended up keeping and wearing it out today but I probably should have returned it. The looser fit gives the dress a more cutesy look which I tend to tire of quickly. All of the other items went back for fit reasons. One last detail of note– the fabric they used in the women’s version is off white/cream (as seen here) while the girls version has a greyish tint. Update 8/13: The dress shrunk a few inches after I washed it in cold water and air dried it. Refer to this picture here and then refer to the picture at the top of this post to see how the dress fit before I laundered it.
