I noticed that the popular blocked merino wool jacket (similar here) is back in stock but it’s only available as an online exclusive. I purchased size XS last year as reviewed here (also featured here) but I recently sold it to a reader that’s around the same size as me. I’m waiting for the next sale to order size XXS regular and I’m hoping my size doesn’t sell out. Size XS regular was a bit roomy (too much material for my smaller chest) otherwise I wouldn’t have let it go.

Lou & Grey Cobblestone Moto Jacket, size XXS regular (review of size XS regular here)
LOFT Denim Leggings in Vivid Dark Indigo Wash, size 25/0P (also available in vintage mid indigo wash)
Shein Grey Twist Lock Metallic Embellished PU Tote Bag c/o (sold out)
I received this Lou & Grey cobblestone moto jacket in size XXS regular and this size fits me better than XS regular which I reviewed here but the sleeves are still a bit too long. I usually push up the sleeves anyway so it’s not a big deal. It also looks really cute worn open as seen here. See it styled by the lovely Megan here and I noticed she folded up the sleeves too. I don’t think I’d ever wear it buttoned since I like the drapey collar. I actually almost broke my nails trying to unbutton the sweater jacket. I’d say this jacket runs true to size. Update 12/3: Thicker fall version here.
These denim leggings in the vivid dark indigo wash (pictured above and below) are my new favorite jeans and I plan on stocking up on a few more pairs. The 27″ inseam is near perfect on me since my preferred inseam is 26.5″. They run about one size bigger since I took them in size 25/0P but I’m currently size 26 in other brands I’ve recently tried. Note that this style is very fitted through the legs with slim fit ankles which I personally love since I think it helps to elongate my legs. The mid-rise waistband sucks in everything so it doesn’t create a muffin top or cut off your ability to breathe and the material is stretchy and comfortable. The material they used is also not too thin and the fabric doesn’t appear to bleed when I rub my fingers against the wash. Update 10/5: I would recommend washing the jeans at least once before wearing them since I noticed some color transfer on the top edge of my light suede booties. I haven’t noticed any color transfer on my clothing and furniture (we have an off white couch).
The measurements of size 0/25P are as follows:
26″ waist (stretches comfortably to 28″)
8.5″ leg opening
After trying quite a few of the latest styles in skinny jeans from both Old Navy and Banana Republic I gave in and ordered the Paige Verdugo crop skinny jeans (recommended by Stylish Petite) to try in size 26. Even though the waist fit I returned them because the the butt, thighs, legs and ankles were too loose resulting in a less polished look. The material they used was also thinner so the Verdugo crop jeans would be better suited for spring and summer or those in warmer climates year round. Thin jeans offer very little protection against the winter wind chill here in New England.
Lou & Grey Signature Cowl Tunic, size XSP (other colors here and here)
Madden Girl Poppyy Espadrille Flat (sold out online and on clearance in stores, review here, similar Target version here as recommended by My Girly Armour, another similar version here)
Next up is this unbelievably soft Lou & Grey signature cowl tunic which I took in size XSP. Update 10/4: After wearing this sweater a few times, I’d say this it runs one size bigger due to the loose, longer tunic length but the sleeves may be a little snug for some. The soft color is what drew me to this sweater and it will look really cute with booties this fall and winter. Speaking of booties, I received the Hillsy Vince Camuto booties last week but I wasn’t a fan of the tabs and how high the shaft came up. I’m going to try and order the Franell booties recommended by Stylish Petite.
I tried on this striped textured dolman tee in XSP. I immediately noticed how tight the sleeves were although I wouldn’t go so far to say that they would cut off my circulation as another online reviewer mentioned but please take note. Aside from the sleeves the top fits true to size and drapes very well. Here is another view of the dolman sleeves with my arms extended. I noticed tiny flecks of white across the material so it may be prone to pilling. As a quick care tip fabric shavers can extend the life of your favorite articles of clothing that have really bad pilling. (Please read this comment for fabric shaver do’s and don’ts.) I didn’t discover this lovely contraption until college but they can go through a lot of batteries depending on how much pilling you’re trying to remove.
LOFT Dotted Ruffle Shell, size XSP
I loved the print on this dotted ruffle shell but unlike the dotblock ruffle shell I reviewed here I noticed that the split hem came up about 1″ higher in this version. I tried on size XSP and it fits true to size. I’m not sure why petites is not available online but I need size XXS regular for the extra length. Unfortunately my size is sold out but it’s probably for the best. I saw this top on a few Boston ladies during my commute so it’s been on my mind to give it another try.
LOFT Fall Flutter Dress, size XSP
I believe I mentioned this fall flutter dress in a previous post and I finally found petites to try on last week to satisfy my curiosity. Size XSP fits true to size but I don’t think the color does anything for me so I passed. The same color and print is also available as a top here.

Ann Taylor Paisley Shift Dress, size XXSP
I tried on this paisley shift dress since I managed to find size XXSP in stores. Vicky informed me that size XXSP runs really big and I’d have to agree. I’d say this dress runs at least one size larger and petites may fit those of average height that usually take regular missy sizes especially if you prefer the length to hit as pictured in the stock image. I had my tape measure on me so the measurements of size XXSP are as follows:
34″ bust (measured pit to pit)
34.5″ total length
I ordered this striped lace shoulder tee in XXS regular a few weeks ago but I returned it since the lace detail didn’t lay properly for the shirt I received. I wanted to re-order it in petites but XSP is currently sold out online. Size XS regular fits like a tunic length shirt on me but I’d say that this top fits true to size. I also tried on the modern skinny jeans and the petite inseam was about two inches too long for me so I had to fold the extra length. I’d say these jeans run about one size bigger depending on how fitted you like your skinny jeans.
