Happy holidays and greetings from Philly where I’m visiting my family until Thanksgiving day. I feel fortunate that I got to spend time with my family this year and I’ll also have time to see my husband’s family. I liked this windowpane camp shirt but I wish they also offered it in white with black grid lines. Size XS regular fits me pretty well (if I had to be picky about sizing then I’d want to try on size XXS too for comparison). I passed on this blouse since I prefer light blouses over dark blouses.

I wanted this scallop lace dress the moment I saw it online since it has sleeves. Below I’m wearing my old lace dress from 2013 on the left and this year’s version with sleeves on right.

I originally tried on the scallop lace dress in 2 regular in stores (refer to the below picture) and realized I would need to stick with regular missy sizing so that the dress would sit at my natural waist. Petite sizing would be too high and more of an uncomfortable empire waist on me. Size 00 regular has a 28″ waist and fits me comfortably with room to eat a meal. Luckily the lace sleeves were also not tight and skimmed my arms. Size 2 regular on the other hand was a few inches too wide all over. I’d say this dress runs about one size larger. I’m on the fence about returning it since I don’t love the lace they used as much as I thought I would. On the other hand, it’s a great dress to have for formal events but I have so many clothes that I save for a rainy day and never wear or barely wear. I have longer arms (I usually take 23-24″ sleeves) so if you’re petite and go with the missy sizing for the waist placement then the sleeves may be more bracelet length on you.

I love the tiny stars on this starry rib trim tank and I hope petite sizes will be available soon/later. The color is light blue in person but it comes across as white in their online stock image. I tried on size XS regular which fits like a basketball jersey length so I’m pretty sure I need this in XXSP since it runs really long and oversize in regular missy.
I want all of the cute new pajama sets from LOFT (available in polka dots, starry print and gingham print) but I wish they were available in petites. Hopefully size XXS won’t sell out in at least one of the styles but I’m holding out for 50% off or better. I can’t see myself paying a lot for clothes that I’ll only wear at home but they would make cute presents.
