I hope everyone had a great weekend! I ordered this Harlowe & Graham Slub Textured Jacket in size XSP based on Jules recommendation. You can see the same size on her here. It looked so amazing on her I just had to have it too. It’s really cozy and perfect for layering under my winter coats and it fits true to size.

I received these cute cat flats from Shein and they run about one full size smaller. I’ve been trying to break them in but so far I only got them to stretch out by about half a size at most. I normally wear size 7-7.5 depending on the brand. I received them in EUR size 37 which fits like US size 6 based on how much my feet are cramped up inside the shoes. I really like them but I believe I need them in EUR size 38. The soles have a strong odor but I’m hoping the smell will go away as mentioned in passing by another online reviewer.

Below is what they look like on on my feet:

Lastly, I saw these Sorel Winter Carnival Boots boots today at Costco for $79.99. I felt that they ran about half a size bigger after trying on my usual size 7 so I took size 6.5 instead. There’s a lot of room in the toe box so they’ll be very comfortable with thick socks although they are made for negative temperatures. I noticed that they’re still full-price everywhere else so this is a great deal if you’re looking for functional winter boots. They were featured right up front when I walked into my local store along with hunter green Hunter original tall rain boots which were also $79.99. Also, did you know that Sorel sells replacement boot liners?

Sorel Winter Carnival Boots

In previous winters I tried wearing rain boots but even if I doubled up on socks I was still chilled to the bone. I’ve never tried a fleece insert so I’m not sure if that would solve my problem but rain boots do have great traction. If you’re looking for dressier boots with good traction in the soles then these Tory Burch Sullivan boots were a splurge from last winter. Refer to my review here. Unfortunately, this year this style only come in suede instead of the supple leather which held up really well despite the winter slush. I do try to wipe my boots down to prevent then from being eaten by the harsh road salt. The over the knee boots pictured at the top of my post are made of more delicate leather material so you really need to avoid the salt or wipe them down as quickly as possible if they come into contact with road salt and slush. I’m so lazy when it comes to spraying water repellent on them so I’ll try to do that this year.
