I hope everyone’s week is off to a great start! It’s been a very busy Q2 at work so I’m counting the days to my next vacation (soon!). I wore this outfit last week and I really love this dangling crystal ribbon necklace. Here is a clearer shot of the necklace below:

LOFT is having another sale- get 50% off select full-price styles and an extra 40% off sale styles. No code required. Valid in stores and online. Since no code is needed you can use the stackable code CHEER online for an additional 25% off (LOVELOFT cardmembers only) or 20% off (non-cardmembers) full-price purchases of $125+. Excludes Lou & Grey items. That’s a total of 62.5% off (LOVELOFT cardmembers) or 60% off (non-cardmembers) select full-price styles after online discounts!

I received this latest coupon code in their mailer since the LOFT Insider code for December (INSIDER578) was invalid/expired so if you have the physical coupon you can use it on your purchase in store through 12/31. I’m not sure if the code stackable in stores the way it is online so please check with your local store. The back of the coupon states that it’s not combinable with other offers but sometimes these codes will still ring up.

I’m coveting this flecked two-in-one sweater. How cute are the stripes and peplum hem?

Update 8/9/16: A similar redesigned 3/4 sleeve version of this top returns for Fall ’16!

I’ve also been living in this starry pajama set which I got in XXS regular. I love the print and texture of this set and missed getting my size in the other two prints. The pants fit me perfectly but the PJ top is very long and roomy if you’re petite and considering any of the three pajama sets. I need to roll up the sleeves so that they’re out of the way and I plan to sew an extra button on top since the v-neck is very low on me. I could also wear a cami underneath in the interim. See my review here.

Lastly, every item in this outfit is on sale and washes well. The Lou & Grey signaturesoft open cardigan is on final sale for $35.93 and the striped turtleneck is now $26.99 after discounts. I was also wearing the modern super skinny jeans in vintage mid indigo wash which are now $29.99 after discounts.

Update 12/16 – Get 50% off almost everything at Ann Taylor. Use code MERRY50. Valid online only. I’ve been coveting this tweed knit textured jacket in winter white but I haven’t had a chance to try it on. I tried on the black tweed fringe jacket in my usual size 0P here. I have a smaller chest and 14″ shoulders so I thought it ran true to size although other online reviewers thought that it runs small.

Ann Taylor Double Breasted Trench Jacket, size 0P

Shein Black Cat Print Round Toe Flats (review here)

I wanted this double breasted trench jacket when I first spotted it online since I have a weakness for winter white. Unfortunately after trying it on at my local store over a week ago I immediately crossed it off my wishlist. Size 0P fits true to size but it has a very roomy and boxy/structured fit since it’s made of a thicker material. It’s an awkward cropped length which doesn’t really work with dresses in my opinion (see it on me here, here and here paired with the medallion  flippy shirtdress I was wearing that day). The lapels were also on the larger side but it could be due to my smaller chest and I also didn’t care for the large buckles on the sleeves. The size of the buckles overpowered the sleeves while smaller, more delicate buckles would have made for a more classic finishing touch. I have longer arms than other fellow petites since I usually prefer 23-24″ sleeves so these sleeves were about 1.5″ too short on me hitting right at the top of my wrists (refer to this picture here). The petite sleeves look like the perfect length on Annie (although she has her arms bent) but 1″ too long for Jean. Finally I would have preferred if the buttons on the shoulder epaulets were at the end of the shoulders instead of partially hidden under the generous collar.

Ann Taylor Pleated Keyhole Dress, size 0P

Ann Taylor Pleated Keyhole Dress, size 0P

I also tried on this pretty pleated keyhole dress which runs about one size larger since size 0P fits more like size 2P. The empire waist of 0P measured 27.5″. A strapless bra is required since you can see my nude bra peeking out from the front and back of the dress. The dress has a slightly longer length (34″)  hitting right at my knees instead of skimming the top of my knees. It’s a gorgeous little black dress for special occasions with the sheer, pleated overlay on top of what would have otherwise been a basic strapless dress.
