Happy Friday! I wore this outfit yesterday after I realized how perfectly preppy my two recent buys looked together. The stripe perfect shirt and shimmer textured sweater are recent purchases I bought on sale in stores. I was going to wear my nude pumps but I ended up switching to boots to keep my skin/feet covered.

This J.Crew nordic parka is now 30% off or $315 after discounts. It’s been so cold and windy lately and I’ve been trying on a lot of other parkas but none of them were to my liking so I kept coming back to the one I bought. My similar sized friend Celena noticed my reservations and she recommended the TNA Bancroft parka from Aritzia. (sizing runs slim so she recommended going up a size). We don’t have any Aritzia stores yet but I noticed that they’re opening a store at the Prudential this spring and I’m really excited because I really love their aesthetic. Unfortunately they only accept returns for merchandise credit so it seemed too risky to order the parka sight unseen.
Lastly, the Joan of Artic mid wedge boots are on sale for $179.90 on Sorel‘s website in the cafe and nori colors. Special thanks for Janet for the heads up! I recently bought mine for full-price through Nordstrom but when I called customer service they honored the price difference and credited it back to my card. It’s always awesome to get some unexpected savings. These boots run about 1/2 bigger so I took size 6.5 even though I usually wear size 7. They’re really comfortable with great traction and they’re surprisingly lightweight despite appearances. I have slightly wider feet so they are a bit snug with thicker socks but so far I’ve been okay wearing them with my regular socks.
