Here are some updated fitting room reviews. I was trying to find some items on my wishlist to try-on in stores before I decided if I should place an online order for the additional savings.

Ann Taylor Classic Long Trench, size XXSP
Ann Taylor Modern Super Skinny Jeans in deco wash, size 0P (review here, similar wash here as reviewed here)
This classic long trench coat is not part of the current collection so I just wanted to put that out there. I was skeptical about how it would fit when I saw it on the hanger because the Italian khaki color is a slightly darker shade and it looked extremely long (this was before I knew the extra length was by design). However, I grabbed the smallest size available which was XXSP and I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try it on while I’m bent on the quest for a classic khaki trench. (For other trench coat options, you can refer to my review of the LOFT essential trench here and my review of a J.Crew chateau trench coat here and here.) I was pleasantly surprised to see that it fit me like a glove and there wasn’t any excess bunching when I belted it. Size XXSP measured approximately 36″ long and has 22″ sleeves and I currently have a 27″ natural waist and 33″ hips. Refer to this picture for the backview and this clip I saved from my snapchat (username: whatjesswore) for an all around view.

Ann Taylor Floral Cut Lace Tee, size XSP
This floral cut lace tee is very pretty in person but it has a somewhat short and boxy fit. I really love the long half sleeves since I’m conscious about my upper arms. I’m debating whether to order size XXS regular to try. The layer underneath the lace is slightly sheer but not enough to bother me. I’d say this runs one size larger although true to Ann Taylor‘s usual sizing for XSP tops of this style.

Ann Taylor Lacy Short Sleeve Top, size XS regular
I wanted the new lace cardigan and I saw it on the tables but I liked this lacy short sleeve top more. I tried on XS regular for the extra length in the torso and half sleeves. How gorgeous is the lace on the sleeves? It has a slim fit versus a boxy fit and runs true to size. Note that this top is not part of the current promotion.

Ann Taylor Mock Neck Sweater, size L regular
This mock neck sweater caught my eye online and I was glad to find it to try on in stores. Since it has a short, shrunken fit I debated about which size to take the the fitting room. I only took size L regular with me which has a very loose and relaxed fit on me and I wish I tried on size M for comparison. Again I am digging the adorable half sleeves of this number. I’d say this runs about one size smaller so size up or stay with your usual size for a more fitted look.

Ann Taylor Split Hem Sheath Dress size 0P
Lastly, I tried on this split hem sheath dress in size 0P and I loved the mix of horizontal and vertical stripes but I wasn’t too thrilled with all the hanging threads that you have to trim. Size 0P has a 28.5″ waist so it skimmed my figure in all the right places without being too form fitting. I’d say this dress runs about one size bigger. Here is a better view of the back view of this dress. Note that this dress is also not part of the current promotion.

J.Crew Chateau Parka, size 00 regular (2015/2016 version, review of 2014 version here)
Ann Taylor Modern Super Skinny Jeans in deco wash, size 0P (review here, similar wash here as reviewed here)
Sorel Joan of Arctic Wedge Boot in cafe (last seen here, similar color in kettle)
I also stopped by my local J.Crew to track down this year’s version of the chateau parka to try on size 00 regular which I own in grey from last year (review and measurements here). This year’s version fit similarly on me in the sleeve length and along the bottom hem from what I could tell in these photos. You can also refer to this clip I saved from my snapchat. It’s currently 25% off with the code SHOPSALE. If you need another common point of reference, I didn’t buy the popular lady day coat but when I’ve tried it on in stores and found that I fit size 2 regular in the waist. Size 2 was too long in the sleeves and overall length so the sales associate told me that meant that I should try 4P. The lady day coat runs more true to numeric sizing so the chateau parka definitely runs big and roomy at about 2 sizes bigger. If you’re really slender and petite you probably will not like the fit of the more casual coat.
Happy shopping!
