Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Damier Ebene
TGIF! I’ve been meaning to post these fitting room reviews for a little while now but took a bit of a blogging break this month since I realized I only posted 4 times this month (now 5 with this post) and it’s already near month’s end. Just to warn you, this is a very picture heavy post since these try-ons were spread across 3-4 visits.
For the latest sale you can get 30% off almost everything at LOFT. New today, you can also get 40% off select full-price spring styles. This current sale excludes Lou & Grey items. Valid in stores and online. Since no code is needed you can use the stackable code INSIDER556 online for an additional 25% off full-price purchases of $100+. That’s a total combined discount of 47.5-55% off full-price promotional items! I tested the code on some of the 40% off full-price promotional items in
my shopping cart and it works even though they wrote that it is not
combinable with other offers.
I noticed that the top banner of their website hints at a cyber spring event coming soon. I’m super curious to find out if it will be a better sale. I received my birthday coupon and LOFT card rewards so I’m hoping to use them towards items I’m sure I’ll keep. I don’t know about you but I have a lot of items from their spring collection in my shopping cart so I’m playing the waiting game to secure my wishlist at a good price.

LOFT Laser Cut Floral Flare Dress, size 0P
I love the length of this laser cut floral flare dress but the bust darts were a little off on my small chest. I also tried it on size 00P but it was too snug so size 0P is the best fit on me. I’d say this dress runs true to LOFT sizing. It hit right above my knees for a work appropriate length and I love the laser cut details along the neckline and along the hem. The dress is also available in a pretty morning aqua color that’s perfect for spring and it’s on my wishlist. The arm holes are cut more generous on this dress but it does cover my bra. I would probably wear this dress with a cardigan since I am self-conscious about my (long) arms.
LOFT Lace Shift Dress, size 0P
The lace details on this dress make the dress but I found that the banded hem on the 3/4 sleeves were a bit snug on my forearms. This annoyance was most noticeable every time I bent my arms since I don’t have slender arms. The navy lace is beautiful in person and the slip/lining is attached to the dress so it doesn’t move around. I’d say this dress runs true to size but the sleeves fit slim.
This black short sleeve trapeze dress makes an appearance once again! Last year I bought it in XXS regular but I ended up giving it to my little sister. I bought this dress in store with my cash card but when I came home that night I realized that already had a similar dress from Old Navy last summer. This dress is true to size but lately my upper arms are bigger so the XSP sleeves were snug so I got size SP so the sleeves wouldn’t be like sausage casings on me. The material is on the thin side so it may be slightly sheer in outdoor lighting. A simple black swing dress is always so easy to dress up or down with the right shoes and accessories.
LOFT Shirred Tunic Shirt, size XXS regular
I bought this shirred tunic shirt in XXS regular after trying it on in stores but I got ink all over it when my husband left a pen in his pocket. I did manage to get most of the ink stains out but will have to keep the sleeves rolled to hide one stain that I just couldn’t get out. This is a loose fitting shirt that runs big but I really liked the extra length. I wash my clothes on cold and then air dry them to prevent shrinking so this shirt always washes just a tad wrinkly. It may require a little ironing if you like a more crisp look. It’s hard to tell from this picture and their online stock images but this shirt has very thin stripes and isn’t a solid color. I stopped by Ann Taylor the same night I tried on this shirt and noticed that they also have a very similar shirt here.
LOFT Jagged Lace Shell, size XSP
This jagged lace shell looked really cute with the lace trim. While it runs true to size (I tried on size XSP) I found that the arm holes are loose exposing the side of my bra (refer to the picture on right) so I had to pass. Not everyone has this issue but if I wear a cardigan with this top then it will hide the cute sleeve details.
LOFT Relaxed Skinny Denim Shorts in Bright Mid Vintage Wash, size 00 regular
I wanted this peacock drapey pocket tee after seeing it styled by the lovely Megan who is one of my top enablers lately. I tried it on in MP that night since it was the smallest size I could find and the print is just as gorgeous in person. I also paired it with the relaxed skinny denim shorts in bright mid vintage wash which I grabbed in 00 regular. These shorts run big since size 00 regular had a 30″ waist so they were much too roomy on me since I have a 27″ waist. Refer to this picture for the back view of these shorts. I really wanted these cut off denim shorts in distressed dark indigo wash but they sold out so quickly during the start of this sale!
LOFT Drapey Pocket Tee, size XSP
I was able to try on the solid version of the drapey pocket tee so now I have both the peacock print and this one in my wishlist in size XSP. It has a loose flowy fit which is very flattering on me but may be a bit wide on others in their usual LOFT size. The white color actually isn’t see through for once since they didn’t use the thin/sheer polyester material that they usually use so this top is a great staple to have. You won’t have to layer it with a cami and worry about the lines and straps showing through ruining an otherwise clean look.
LOFT Scallop Lace Tee, size XS regular
This scallop lace tee was on my must try list the moment I spotted it online and it’s very similar to the lace sleeve tee from last year. It’s a relaxed fit in your usual LOFT sizing so it is not a form fitting tee. The overall length is perfect and not too short/cropped. I love the half sleeves and the beautiful lace detail adds just the right amount of interest to an otherwise basic tee.
LOFT Denim Jacket in Mid Vintage Wash, size XSP
If you’re a jean jacket hoarder then you should try this denim jacket in mid vintage wash. It runs true to size and I love the slightly cropped fit which will look cute with t-shirts as well as dresses. The medium wash looks great if you’re into the denim on denim pairings where it’s lighter on top and darker denim on the bottom.

Zara Flat Sparkle Sandals (item no. 2618/101, size 6 1/2 is EUR 37 and fits narrow)
I tried on this circle lace bodice dress but the first dress I tried on wouldn’t even budge when I tried to unzip it. I was afraid to tug hard and ruin the lace detail right next to the zipper in the back so I asked for another dress in the same size and that one unzipped more easily. I loved the coral color and fit a lot but if you’re not cautious about getting in and out of the dress you could potentially snag and ruin the lace by catching it badly along on the zipper. This dress runs true to size and it’s fully lined so it isn’t sheer.
If you noticed the Zara sandals here I was trying them on after picking them up in store. The size I ordered is both too snug and narrow on my slightly wider feet so I ordered the next size up. I have to pick it up in stores and return the wrong size and hopefully the new size works out. Size 6 1/2 is EUR 37 which fits like a true size 6.5 in my opinion. Sometimes their size 6 1/2 fits me and I usually wear US size 7.
LOFT Palace Floral Shift Dress, size XSP
I was hoping I’d like this palace floral shift dress since the print is different but once I put it on I just didn’t feel any joy for me so I put it back. It does fit true to size and the hem falls on shorter side hitting a few inches above my knees.
I would have never tried on this faraway floral dress since it doesn’t look like anything on the hangers but I saw it on Jen recently so I gave it a try. I noticed that it’s also featured on @ANNLOFTCareers Instsagram. Unfortunately the top and waist were not very flattering on me since I have a smaller chest and I don’t have a trim waist so belting things never doesn’t do me any favors since I don’t much of a waistline to accentuate. The skirt portion is really pretty with the tiered layers. I’d say the dress does run true to size so if you’re into the boho girly look then definitely try-on this dress and you may be pleasantly surprised.
LOFT Striped 3/4 Sleeve Maxi Dress, size XXSP
A maxi dress with 3/4 sleeves isn’t something I usually see so of course I had to try on this dress for size. Note that this dress has drop shoulders and it does run at least one size bigger since size XXSP was still a loose fit on me. The total length is good for petites around my height with flats on. For reference I’m 5′ 2 1/2″.
LOFT Swing Anorak, size XSP
This navy swing anorak is very cute and simple but for the longest while LOFT only had one view of this jacket online so I was happy to find it in stores to try on and to finally see the back of the jacket. You can cinch in the waist from the inside to create more of a shape in the back but it is intended to be swingy fit as noted by it’s namesake. I found that it fits true to size but the XSP sleeves were a bit short on me. If I get this jacket I would prefer this in XXS regular for the extra length in the sleeves and overall length. The inside is lined with a soft grey jersey material.
I saw this vine flutter dress on another customer in store. The print is really pretty in real life. She looked absolutely adorable in it so naturally I had to try it on for myself. It’s also available in another pretty print here. Check it out on the lovely Sara here. This dress fits true to size.
LOFT Scallop Lace Shift Dress, size 2P
I tried on this scallop lace shift dress in 2P in stores since I somehow thought that it looked like it ran small but size 2P is much too loose on me. I’d say it runs true to size but I was too lazy to grab my correct size since I already put on my clothes and my hair was getting a serious case of static. I’m afraid this type of loose lace could get caught on things easily but it is really beautiful and well made dress if you’re looking for a versatile crochet dress that you can dress up or down.
I tried on this circle lace shell since I am drawn to anything white and lace but I found this top to fit a bit wide and boxy so I passed. I’d say it fits true to size but I like the lace details floral lace shell more which I reviewed here. Unfortunately the size and color I wanted sold out so I never got a chance to purchase it yet. Stalk LOFT much? 😉
LOFT Textured Mixed Media Top, size SP
This textured mixed media top is so lovely but I found that my usual size XSP fit snug across my arms and chest so I also tried it on in SP (pictured above). See size XSP on me here. It is slightly sheer so some may prefer to wear it with a cami. The lace details make this top unique.
I tried on these essential skinny ankle pants in the Marisa fit since I received a request to compare these to the tech stretch pants from last year which I own in 0P. They are similar in material and they have a seam that runs down the center back of the pant legs but this year’s version is much too baggy in the thighs (sorry it’s so hard to tell from the photos above) while the bottom legs are snug against my calves. If you don’t have much cushion in your thighs then these dress pants will just look like saggy, stretched out pants on top even for this Marisa fit. That’s a no thank you in my fit requirements.
LOFT Circle Lace Tee, size XSP
This circle lace tee looked so cute on the hanger but the bottom of the lace at the chest falls too low revealing too much of the top my nude bra on both sides. I don’t know what bra to wear to fix this issue so I had to pass on this top. Perhaps if you have a longer torso you will not have this issue with where the lace hits the top of your chest. Otherwise this top fits true to size.
Happy shopping this holiday weekend! Happy Easter to those that celebrate!
