The adorable striped ruffle trim henley shell pictured above caught my eye last week when I was in store shopping with my mom. Everything is cuter in stripes so of course I had to try it on in XS regular even though I was original convinced it wasn’t the most flattering on me (see my review of size XSP here). I loved the drapey fit of XS regular so much better than XSP. I prefer size XXS regular but I believe I will be happy with either size in case my size does sell out online. Usually XS regular wouldn’t fit me for these particular shells but the arm holes aren’t overly generous for once in the missy sizing.
LOFT Speckled Kimono Sweater, size XS regular
I wanted this speckled kimono sweater but I wasn’t sure what size I took since every time I checked the smallest size was sold out. I finally came across size XS regular to try on in store. It runs true to size but it was a bit too wide and loose on me even though the picture above suggests a good fit. I really love the color and texture. The cropped length is better suited for petite torsos but the length is a bit short for my taste so I passed. I prefer my tops to be a bit longer these days. The material is on the thicker side which is nice.

The pattern of this striped drapey hi-lo top caught my eye in store so I tried it on and I really like the look. This cut and style of this top reminds me of the colorblock shirred back tee I got last year (review here). It runs true to size and XSP fits me really well. I’m eyeing the spotted version as well and when searching the website I noticed that it also comes in many pretty colors and prints.

Lastly, here is what size S regular of the ruffle hem sweater looks like on me. I’ve been body conscious lately (I’m finally doing something about it and hoping I stick to it) so I wonder if I should have stuck with XS regular.
