Banana Republic Gracie Espadrilles (review here)

I wanted this garden print popover when I first spotted it online. This past weekend I was able to try it on in XS regular which runs a bit big and long on me. I would suggest that fellow petites stick to petite sizes for the correct 3/4 sleeve length and overall unless you prefer a tunic length for more coverage. This blouse is unlined and sheer so a cami is required.

Ann Taylor Draped Sheath Dress in Sunrise Peach, size 00P

Ann Taylor Draped Sheath Dress in Sunrise Peach, size 00P

I saw this draped sheath dress over a week ago and I remember making a mental note to try it on for size since the v-neck looked perfect for work. Once I tried it on I was pleased that the v-neck wasn’t too low. It runs about one size larger. Pictured above is size 00P which was a bit too form fitting on me so I also tried it on in size 0P here as well as below in navy blue. The sunrise peach color is a light pastel pink in person. Size 0P fit me better and the empire waist measured 28″ (14″ measured across x 2 = 28″).

Ann Taylor Embroidered Floral Top, size SP

Ann Taylor Embroidered Floral Top, size SP (similar sleeveless version here which I reviewed in S regular here)

This embroidered floral top looked really pretty online and it’s a gorgeous, well made top if it fits. Note that the material feels like a sweater in case you can’t tell from the photos. I noticed it’s the same fabric content as this eyelet back top which I have in white and golden sunray. I tried on both SP pictured above and size XS regular here. The petite size draped me better but I found that it was too poofy on me in both sizes. I thought that regular missy XS regular would be longer but it was actually more narrow making the pleats kick out even more. I personally sized up to SP when trying this on for sizing but this top does fit wide in addition to having a more cropped fit.

Ann Taylor Floral Cut Trapeze Dress, size XXSP

Ann Taylor Floral Cut Trapeze Dress, size XXSP

I also tried on this floral cut trapeze dress but it was a challenge to get it on because there was no zipper for easier on and off so you have to slip it on over your head. I can see this dress being a challenge to put on if you have a larger chest or shoulders. The material also seemed prone to wrinkling due. I’d say this dress runs one size bigger

I also tried on the Louisa block heel sandals and found that they run true to size but the heels felt higher than the online measurements. The straps felt soft and comfy. I’m waiting for a better sale to get them and I really hope my size doesn’t sell out. Last June Ann Taylor had an amazing sale on the similar Margo sandals I reviewed in this post. The cross straps of this year’s block heel sandals feel more secure than the single strap of last year’s version.
