Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Damier Ebene
LEFT: Max Studio Stripe Flare Dress (sold out online but sizes may pop back)
RIGHT: Max Studio Print Dress
I bought this Max Studio stripe flare dress in navy blue and white at T.J. Maxx for $29.99 but I also found it at Nordstrom Rack for $36.97 in red and white. They don’t come in petites so I found that size small fit me very loose all over but it still managed to look really cute on so I brought it home with me. Refer to this clip I saved from my snapchat (username: whatjesswore) to see what size small looks like on me. I also ordered both dresses pictured above in size XS regular since I believe that’s the right size for me and I should receive them early this week. I’m super excited since I live for dress weather!
I love these BCBGeneration jewel embellished sandals I found at T.J. Maxx while I was visiting my parents in the Philly area. Did you know you can shop T.J. Maxx online? I only just realized this. The nude pair was on clearance for only $15 while the cognac pair was double the price at $29.99. I bought one pair in size 7 and another in size 7.5 but they definitely fit true to size in my opinion. I remember seeing them a few weeks ago when I stumbled upon The Style Brief‘s flatlay on instagram and I hoped I would find them at my local store.
I found these adorable Michael Kors Darci espadrille flats at T.J. Maxx yesterday for $59.99. T.J. Maxx usually has the best/competitive prices for discount designer items but after a quick search online I noticed that these are on clearance at Bon-ton for $36.99. Only the washed denim color remains and it’s available in size 9 at the moment. I also found them at Macy’s and Shoes.com in other colors as well as a leather upper version. I love the neutral canvas color and pretty eyelet pattern as well as the discreet logo in the back. They run true to size for me and I took my usual size 7.
Tory Burch Marion Embossed Shrunken Shoulder Bag in French Gray
Tory Burch Mini Saddle Bag in Camello
Refer to the back view of both bags here
I ordered this Tory Burch Mini Saddle Bag in camello after seeing it on The Teacher Diva. I was also curious about the French grey color of the Tory Burch Marion Embossed shrunken shoulder bag so I also three it in my shopping cart to satisfy my curiosity. I was surprised by how small the mini saddle bag really was (see a picture of it compared to my Ann Taylor Turnlock saddle bag here). It only has room to fit my iPhone 6 (if you have the larger iPhone 6 plus it will not fit), small ID wallet, tissues, keys and a lip gloss. I found the crossbody strap to be perfect for petites so if you’re tall then the strap may be an awkward length. The Marion shrunken bag is only slightly larger so it held a little bit more. Both bags are meant for going out when you need to be hands-free since they only hold the bare essentials. I purchased them at full-price and I didn’t feel like I was getting enough bag for the money so I’m returning both. Hopefully I won’t suffer any returner’s remorse since they’re really cute, well-made bags.

Ann Taylor Pineapple Belted Pocket Dress, size XS regular (sold out but sizes do pop back in stock)
I am late to the game in trying on this pineapple belted pocket dress but tonight I was browsing the sales section when I came across size XS regular. I decided to try it on for size because a fellow petite insta-friend said she was able to fit this dress in regular missy sizing. Size XS regular fit me okay but I thought the arm holes were a tad too loose on me. There was also a lot of material bunched at the waist where I tired the large bow. You can see another view of how this dress fits in these two clips I saved from my snapchat here and here. I’d say this dress fits true to size and I would probably need my usual size XXS regular for the best fit. Update 7/27/18: If you love pineapple prints I found a few pairs of the pineapple shorts on eBay. This summer Ann Taylor has brought back a fun pineapple print in navy and white colorway.
I was always on the fence about ordering this stripe belted boatneck dress and I found size XXSP to try after work on Friday. There was a lot of material at my waist when I belted it as you can see from the above pictures. This dress runs at least two sizes bigger at the waist and fits more like a SP/2-4P. It’s a pull on style with a key hole hook opening in the back for easier undressing.
Ann Taylor Eyelet Back Sweater Dress, size XSP
I tried on size XSP for the eyelet back sweater dress which I previously reviewed in SP here. I ordered it online this past Tuesday (it was on sale plus an extra 15% off) and sized up to SP since I thought it was a better drape/fit on me.

I was visiting a different local LOFT when I found this textured open moto jacket in my size in the sale section. I was super excited because XXS regular is an online only size and usually once it’s gone it’s hard to find it in stores unless you check often for in store returns. Refer to this clip that I saved from my snapchat for another look at the fit. It drapes really well and fits true to size. The shoulders have some light shoulder pads to give it a bit more structure and the color is off white in person. As an aside, if anyone is looked for a cropped trench please check out my listing on Mercari here (use my code MZKSVS to join and get $2 of your first purchase).
LOFT Tasseled Off The Shoulder Dress, size XS regular
I tried on size XS regular for this tasseled off the shoulder dress since it seemed like a decent length in regular missy. I’d say this dress fits true to size and it looks great worn on or off the shoulders. The waist lacks any definition so you may want to belt it.
LOFT Blanca Trapeze Dress, size XSP
I tried on size XSP in the blanca trapeze dress and I’d say that this dress runs true to size contrary to the current online reviews. Perhaps the petite version runs more true to size while the regular missy sizing is off/runs bigger. It’s a feminine summer closet staple that’s easy to dress up or down. For some reason I thought it looked like a very light pink to me in the fitting room lighting but the color is whisper white according to their website.
LEFT: LOFT Denim Jacket in Western Moon Wash, size XXSP (old wash from last year)
Lastly, here’s a side by side of the two denim jackets I have and they’re both from LOFT. This year’s version (on the right) has shorter sleeves than last year’s version (on the left) by approximately 1″. The material is also stretchier and therefore the comfortable to wear than last year’s version which also has slimmer sleeves. I’d say this year’s denim jacket fits more true to size. The wash of both jackets are different enough that I can overlook the duplicate item rule in my closet.
Matcha Thai Ice Cream Rolls from Ice Land
224 N 10th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107
I tried Thai ice ream rolls from Ice Land for the first time while I was in Philly. It tastes really yummy and creamy but it’s a very manual process that takes about 3 minutes so the prep time was longer than I’m willing wait for ice cream especially if there are many orders ahead. The novelty of watching the preparation through the glass counter did made the wait slightly more bearable. We were driving by Allston last night and I noticed that we’ll be getting a Hi B3ar ice cream roll store right here in the Boston area! There’s a ‘coming soon’ sign posted on the storefront of 147 Brighton Avenue and I noticed some movement inside. Someone also recently posted the same observation on Chowhound. I hope they open soon this summer so I can enjoy it with my husband without the usual long lines when the college students return to Boston this fall.
Thanks for reading!
