As mentioned in my previous post, I ordered this mixed media peplum top in size XS regular based on a very similar top (review of size M here, see size XS regular on me here and here) I have from last year. It’s very close to last year’s sizing throughout the shoulders and bust but I noticed that it’s slightly wider on the bottom where the flounce is. I’d say it runs true to size but the sleeves may be tight for some. I had sized up last year for this reason since my usual size XXS regular was difficult to take off.
Lou & Grey Striped Signaturesoft Swing Dress, size XS regular
This striped signaturesoft dress is both comfy and adorable but the trapeze shape may be a bit more fabric along the skirt potion than some prefer. I bought this dress in XS regular for the extra length and wore it immediately last weekend. I noticed that it does tend to wrinkle if you’re not careful and crush the fabric while sitting down. I carefully spread out the dress beforehand to avoid making more creases. The dress isn’t see through but the material is clingy so your bra strap lines might show in the back. I loved this chambray romper when I saw it on one of the two BFF’s in LOFT’s Instagram story last week. I was lucky and found a hidden size XSP sandwiched between the regular missy sizes at my local LOFT and it fit me perfectly! I’d say this romper fits true to size and has a more relaxed fit. Refer to this clip for another view of this romper on me.
LOFT Cluster Flutter Sleeve Dress, size XS regular
I missed out on this cluster flutter sleeve dress that I’ve been trying to find in petites. I tried on size XS regular in store just to gauge the sizing and this dress runs big and long in the torso. LOFT’s true size recommendation for me for this dress is size XXSP. It did pop back in stock online but sometimes the True Fit recommendation isn’t the size I want if I prefer a more relaxed and comfy fit.
Lou & Grey Signaturesoft Pocket Dress, size XS regular (review here)
I kept going back to this signaturesoft pocket dress that I reviewed in July and I finally bit the bullet and got this dress when it was 40% off. This dress runs short so I took size XS regular for the extra overall length. If you’re taller than me (I’m about 5′ 2″) then this dress may be tunic length on you. Refer to to this clip I saved for another look at the fit of this dress on me.
LOFT Textured Bell Sleeve Dress, size 2P
This textured bell sleeve dress is on my wishlist because of the adorable half sleeves. I couldn’t find 0P to try on last week so I tried on 2P which fit me very loosely. I was able to try on size 0P Friday afternoon but it’s really short in petites for the overall length (it hit me mid thigh and the sleeves were too short). I’m pretty sure I need this dress in 00 regular for the best fit. The material they used for this dress isn’t too thick so it should be a comfortable weight for the transition into fall. Refer to this clip I saved for another look at the dress on me from the fitting room.
LOFT Paw Print Tie Neck Dress, size XSP (this print is also available as a peplum top)
I bought this tie neck dress because I adore the tiny paw prints. It makes for a fun but different polka dot print dress. Size XSP fits me really well but I noticed that the arm holes are more narrow than usual. You may want to size up if the dress digs into your armpits. The dress is unlined but not see through. Refer to this clip for another look at this dress on me.
LOFT Lace Drop Waist Dress, size 0 regular
I loved the lace detailing on this drop waist dress but I didn’t care for how it fit me. The bust darts in size 0 didn’t fit my small chest properly as you can see in this clip. It’s a shame because it is a really beautiful dress and burgundy color. I had tried on the regular missy sizing because the petites version looked short. I would say this dress runs true to size. If you have larger hips then you may want to size up so that the bottom (drop waist) portion drapes better as the dress has no stretch.

I bought this adorable crystal floral beaded necklace after seeing it on Erin who is a sweet and stylish associate at my local LOFT. The grey flowers make it the perfect neutral necklace to pair with many of my grey fall items.

LOFT Tasseled Leopard Print Infinity Scarf – now only $20!
I stopped my my local store yesterday afternoon in search of this tasseled leopard print scarf. I normally don’t like leopard print or tassels especially together but this scarf is the perfect neutral accessory for the fall. It will be a fun pop of pattern against my solid outfits.
LOFT Lacy Pintucked Tee, size XS regular
LOFT Sanded Sateen Chinos in Marisa Fit, size 4P
This lacy pintucked tee is very voluminous at the peplum flounce. I had difficulty getting the ruffle to stay down and look normal in these photos. I’d say this top runs about one size bigger since it was very loose/wide in the waist and hips on me. I also tried on the new sanded sateen chinos in the Marisa Fit and I’d say they run true to size since 4P fit me pretty well. My current waist is about 28″. They are meant to fit ankle length so the petite inseam is spot on. I was hoping to try them on in the antique white color but my store only had smokestack grey and stellar blue.
LOFT Shirred Chambray Softened Shirt, size XXSP
This shirred chambray softened shirt is a good weight for the fall. It does runs about one size bigger so I was able to fit into size XXSP. However, I was only able to comfortably roll up the sleeves twice. I probably should have tried on my usual size for a more relaxed fit throughout the sleeves, waist and hips. I’ve seen a lot of people wearing their chambray blouses as a light outer layer unbuttoned and I really wanted to try that trend myself.
LOFT Lacy Drop Waist Dress, size XSP
This lacy drop waist dress is a new in-store arrival that is not yet available online. I wasn’t going to try it on but then I decided to give it a shot when I came across it again while browsing the petites section. If you have hips them I would recommend going up a size otherwise the drop waist will cling to your hips and backside. I wasn’t a fan of the color or fit of this dress on me. I probably needed to size up to SP for a more relaxed fit through the skirt portion of the dress.
LOFT Pleated Swing Dress, size SP
The armholes of this pleated swing dress are cut very high and narrow in petites so I tried on size SP which fit me pretty well. There is a large keyhole opening in the front above the bust but the bow tie drapes over the opening. It’s a classy little black dress if it fits and I’d recommend trying it on in store.
LOFT Legging Jeans, size 26/2P
I tried on these legging jeans which are a new arrival in store that isn’t yet available for purchase online. They are really stretchy and run true to size. If you like your jeans to fit like leggings with a narrow ankle then you’ll love these jeans. They are very figure hugging and I tried on size 26/2P but I probably need them in the next size up so that they look less plastered onto my legs.
LOFT Wildflower Peplum Shell, size XXS regular
I ordered this wildflower peplum shell online when it was 40% off and while I like the fit I do not like the gauzy weight of the material they used (refer to this clip here for a close up of the fabric in sunlight). I’m leaning towards returning this top since I’d prefer not to have to wear a layering cami with it.
LOFT Seamed Blouse, size XXS regular
I also ordered this seamed blouse in XXS regular to secure my preferred size during the last sale. I love the weight of this top because it’s not see through in the whisper white color so it doesn’t require a layering cami. I hope to get a lot of use out of this closet staple since Jules seems to gets a ton of wears out of her pocket blouse from past season LOFT.
LOFT Pave Crystal Pendant Necklace
This pave crystal pendant caught my eye online and here is a closeup of what it looks like in person. I love the color, size and slight sparkle of this piece.
This ombre plaid scarf looked promising online and the colors are really cute in person as you can see here.
LOFT Fringed Sweater Jacket, size XSP

I had ordered/tried on this fringed sweater jacket last year in XXS regular and XS regular (review here) but the sleeves were too long and I ultimately returned both. This season it’s back in black so I tried on size XSP but the sleeves were too snug for my comfort. I probably need it in size SP but I didn’t get an opportunity to try it on. It’s a great layering piece for the office since it’s not too bulky.

Ann Taylor Ruffled Floral Shell, size XS regular (as seen on Annie in XXSP)
Ann Taylor Petite Modern Skinny Jeans, size 0P
I tried on this ruffled floral shell and I just adore the golden floral print (also available in solid colors here). The print is bold and beautiful and I love that I can wear it sleeveless now and into the fall transitional season with a cardigan or jacket. I’d say this top fits true to size but I prefer the regular missy size for the extra length. I also tried on the modern skinny jeans but I found that the 28.5″ inseam is too long in petites. The waist is true to my usual Ann Taylor sizing for denim but I had to cuff the pant legs by a few inches.
Ann Taylor Geo 3/4 Sleeve Cardigan, size XS regular
Ann Taylor Polished Tee, size XSP
I love the print and color for this pretty cardigan since it’s so feminine. I was very tempted to purchase it in store today but I may have to add it to an order when I get a chance to browse the online selection.
Ann Taylor Polished Tee, size XSP
I love the fit and drape of this polished tee but I didn’t like how see through it was in winter white. The thin material does make it easier to tuck in cleanly. The polished tees are also available in a variety of other colors and prints.
Ann Taylor Spotted Polished Tee, size XSP
I also tried on the spotted version of the polish tee since I love the light pink color and the delicate print. The material is completely different from the white version pictured above so it doesn’t drape the same way. I noticed that the petite version is rather long in the total length so some ladies may want to try petites on for sizing if the regular missy version is too big/long. I’d say this top runs one size bigger.
Ann Taylor Lacy Peplum Top, size 0 regular (see size XXSP on Annie)
I loved this lacy peplum on Annie but I found the flutter sleeves to be a bit too voluminous on me. The sleeves would probably look better after a good steaming so that they drape better. I love the cutout lace detail and the top portion is lined so you don’t have to wear a cami underneath. I tried it on in 0 regular since the petite version seemed short and boxy and I usually need the extra overall length.
Ann Taylor Modern Geo Tie Waist Dress, size 0P
Lastly, I tried on this geo pattern dress but I wasn’t sure what to do with the tie at the waist. If you try to drape it as pictured in their stock image the tie/sash doesn’t stay in place. Tying the sash as a bow also seems a bit out of place against this geometric pattern. I’d say this dress fits true to size and I’m loving all the earth tones in this pattern for the fall.
