I ordered the following items in order to secure my size:
1. Wildflower peplum shell (pictured top left) – I ordered this top in XXS regular based on my previous review of the solid color in XXS regular here and XS regular here. Size XXS regular had fit me best.
2. Mixed media peplum top (pictured top right) – I ordered this in size XS regular based on a very similar top that I owned and loved last year. This new version for the fall is 3/4 sleeves instead of long sleeves and the peplum flounce comes up a lot higher. Out of curiosity I ordered this top to compare with the one I have. I’ll keep it if it’s even half as adorable as last year’s version which I wore at least once a week. Refer to my review of size M here. See size XS regular on me here and here.
3. Seamed blouse (pictured bottom left) – I’ve been looking for the perfect cream blouse to wear alone or for layering purposes and I had missed out on the similar pocket blouse in a previous season which I took in size XSP one year and XXSP another year. I decided to order this top in size XXS regular since this size generally works for me.
4. Paw print tie neck dress (pictured bottom left) – I love the adorable tiny paw prints so I ordered this in size XS petite based on the review that mentioned this dress fits longer than pictured. This print is also available as a peplum top.
Did anyone else notice that you can now wishlist items on their website? I was beyond happy to see this feature so that I no longer have to keep culling my shopping cart between sales. Also, now I won’t forget about an item since it will sit safely within my wishlist! The shopping cart retains low inventory/out of stock items so that I am able to easily check for pop-ups as long as I save the item to my wishlist in my preferred size. Yesterday I tested this scenario by adding this top to my wishlist since it only available in size L. Today it’s sold out but it’s still saved within my wishlist as shown here.

Last week I ordered this lantern sleeve jacket that I’ve been coveting ever since I saw it on NYC Recessionista’s fall preview post. Size XSP fits true to size but the color was darker than pictured online making it harder to pair with many of the other items in my closet. I didn’t want to be stuck pairing it with only white tops. The jacket has functional pockets which is a plus and the back view doesn’t look boxy but the lantern sleeves, reminiscent of the boho 60’s vibes, are more puffy and structured than I prefer. If you have a dressier daily style then you may want to give this jacket a try but I had to pass on this since I don’t think I would reach for it all that much.
I’ve been pretty obsessed with this wire floral necklace and I’ve worn it quite a bit with my solid tops and dresses.

This past weekend I bought a cheap cork board at Ikea to organize my costume jewelry. I usually hang them from my dress form but I thought I’d give this a try so that they would stop getting tangled up. It looks very plain and basic so now I’m scouring Pinterest for cute cork board ideas to try and snazz it up a bit. I’m admittedly not very patient when it comes to DIY so I may abandon this train of thought as quickly as it entered my head.
Stay tuned for more reviews of some of my recent purchases including this bag organizer I shared on my snapchat.
