As mentioned in my previous post, I was coveting this pretty floral bell sleeve blouse and this ombre striped flare dress. Unfortunately, I tried on size XS regular for the bell sleeve blouse today and the sleeves were unbelievably narrow. When I put the top back myself, I compared the sleeves with the next size up and they didn’t look that much more promising. I would probably have to go up to a size M for a more comfortable fit but I was too frustrated to go grab another size. This top also runs small/narrow so I would suggest going up at least one size. The ombre striped flare dress doesn’t yet come in petites but if you’re my height (5′ 2 1/2″) then the length should fit you exactly as pictured in the online stock image. Size 0 regular fit really snug on me so I’d say this dress runs at least one size smaller in the waist than my usual Ann Taylor size. The dress is unlined but it shouldn’t be see through due to the dark print.

We visited Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens yesterday and it was a lot to take in all of the mosaic art from floor to ceiling. I’ve never heard of this hidden gem but one of my family members went there recently so it was on my list of things to see.

I placed a LOFT order online during the last week’s sale and I sent it to my parent’s place. I somehow ended up with 12 cash cards but there’s no way that I can use them all so I’ll have to share them with a few friends when I get back to Boston.
This textured stripe top is one of the items that worked out for me. I took size XSP and it runs true to size. The material is soft and easy to wear and it’s a boxy but comfortable fit since the material is stretchy. It’s a more relaxed fit so if you prefer form fitting tops then you will not like this top. It’s a good weight for fall since the material is not too thin.I’m glad the two cut outs in the front don’t come up to short in the petite sizing since that is sometimes a problem/flaw.
One of my favorite items from my order is the cape coat which I got in XSP. The material is so soft and it looks so chic for the fall. I wish the plum color was available in petites but it’s only offered in the missy sizes. I could have probably size down to XXSP due to the oversize fit width-wise but size XSP does fit me well throughout the shoulders and length. The striped peplum tee I reviewed here in size XS regular fits me a lot better in size XSP. The long sleeves are a bit snug on me since I’ve gained a few vacation pounds but not uncomfortably so.
I snagged these chucks at Nordstrom Rack in a light grey color which I love since I wear a lot of shades of grey in the fall. It might be a little difficult to tell from my photo but the oyster grey color has some texture to it and the laces also have light grey dashes. They do run a bit narrow/snug but they’re noticeably more comfortable than the white pair I reviewed here.

Lastly, I got these modern frayed skinny ankle jeans the other day when they were offering $20 off jeans and this pair fits more like legging jeans. Size 25/0 regular fit me well if a tad snug throughout the hips and waist and inseam of the regular missy size is perfect for petites. I’d say these fit like the equivalent of a LOFT size 26/2P. I love the lighter wash with some texture to it as well as the frayed ends. I prefer wearing them cuffed to show a little ankle as you can see from the above photos.
