I last tried on this lacy peplum top in size S regular here but I ended up purchasing it in XS regular in navy (pictured above) and winter white below. I’d say this top runs true to size.
Ann Taylor Button Back 3/4 Sleeve Sweater, size MP
I tried this button back 3/4 sleeve sweater in both SP (not pictured) and MP and size MP fit me best. I find that Ann Taylor sweaters tend to run smaller so I would recommend going up at least one if not two sizes for this sweater.
Ann Taylor Side Pleat Top, size M regular
I was browsing the go back racks when I saw this side pleat top that nips in at the waist. I tried on size M regular to gauge the sizing. I’d say this top runs true to size if you like a more fitted look since size M was too loose on me but not overly so. Otherwise I would suggest going up one size. I’d probably prefer this top in size S regular since the fit is more fitted/clingy in the bodice than I would be comfortable with in my usual size (XS regular). I like my tops to be longer longer so I wouldn’t get this in petites since I prefer the longer overall length of the regular missy size.
Ann Taylor Ruffled Shell, size XS regular (see my other review here)
I previously tried on the floral version here but I ended up returning it since it didn’t look as cute under my blazers and cardigans. I also tried it on in this pretty soft pink color in size XS regular pictured above and size SP pictured here. This top runs true to size.
Ann Taylor Lacy Pleated Shell, size XS regular
I love the lace details on this lacy pleated top but note that they are see slightly through where the lace detail is even though the top is lined. This top runs true to size and there were plenty left in the sales racks in stores in both white and black.
Ann Taylor Mixed Media Tie Tee, size XS regular
I wasn’t sure about the tie on the bottom of this mixed media tie tee since I would personally worry that it ends up in the toilet but this top is really cute on. I’d say it runs true to size.
Ann Taylor V-Neck Peplum Top, size XS regular
I love the drama of the sleeves on this v-neck peplum top. Size XS regular fit me pretty well except for the dart busts since I have a smaller chest.
Ann Taylor Mixed Media Shirttail Top, size SP
I’ve seen multiple people gravitating towards this mixed media shirttail top in the hunter green color in the fitting room. I tried it on in SP and the sleeves run really snug so I would suggest sizing up like I did if you’re interested in this top. Otherwise the body runs true to size.

I specifically went in store to seek out this striped lace mockneck top (as seen on Jessi Klein) and I was pleased to find that my local LOFT carried it in both white and black in the regular missy section. Size XS fit me okay but I ordered my usual size XXS regular. You can also refer to the video clip I saved here for a better view of how it fits. Update 8/2: A similar lace top is now available here and here.
LOFT Striped Bell Sleeve Shirt, size XSP
If you’re looking for a strong sleeve game then look no further than this striped bell sleeve shirt. Size XSP fit me perfectly but I found the fabric to be on the thinner side so a layering cami is recommended. This feels more like a spring and summer top to me than a fall item. To see a better fit of this shirt on me refer to this clip I saved from my Instagram story here. I’d say this top fits true to size.
LOFT Sheer Lace Peplum Shell, size XSP
I was in the Lou & Grey section of the store when I saw this sheer lace peplum shell that someone abandoned. When I checked it was size XSP and I was ecstatic since I’ve been wanting to try this top. I’d say this top fits true to size and it will require a layering cami. It’s probably the prettiest lace blouse I’ve seen in a while. I couldn’t wait to wear it right away as you can see from this clip here of my outfit on Friday.
LOFT Striped Lantern Sleeve Blouse, size XS regular
I love stripes and this blouse looked adorable so I grabbed size XS regular to try on for sizing and it fits very loose on me but it still looks cute. I’d say this top runs true to size as I would prefer it in XXS regular or XS petite which are my usual sizes at LOFT. The material is a good weight for 100% polyester so it’s not sheer at all.
LOFT Woven Pleat Shell, size XSP (review of XS regular here)
This women pleat shell is currently sold out online but there were plenty available in the petites and regular missy session when I was at the in store this past week. I love how simple this top is and the pleats make it more chic. Size XSP fit me perfect so I’d say this top runs true to size. I am wary of the rayon lining in the back which can become noticeably shorter after washing but I found that you can steam it back out to the regular length once the item is completely dry.
LOFT Modern Peasant Blouse, size XSP
I usually hate blouses that have elastic cinching at the wrists but this modern peasant blouse has a nice and loose fit and doesn’t feel like a rubber band around my wrist. I love the pretty lace trim details. The black color isn’t too sheer so I may not wear a layering cami underneath. I found this blouse to fit true to size. I noticed in comes in a beautiful royal red that would be perfect for the holidays.
Lou & Grey Linecut Top, size XS regular
I wanted this Lou & Grey linecut top when I saw it online in the pink stripe but after trying on size XS regular in stores I may have to pass. It’s a very cropped fit (you can easily remedy this by layering with a cami or collared shirt underneath) and it runs really wide and boxy. I’d suggest going down at least one size. The sleeves of XS regular were so baggy and loose on me and the boatneck opening was really wide and showed my bra straps.
LOFT Ribbed Dolman Sweater, size S regular
I love the relaxed look of this ribbed dolman sweater. The sleeves of the regular missy size are really long and I have them folded up once here so I would probably need this in XSP for the slightly shorter overall length. I love white sweaters so I would want this in whisper white. I’d say this sweater fits true to size or size down if you want a more fitted look.
