Happy Saturday from snowy Boston! It’s the last weekend before Christmas weekend and I’m sure everyone is busy getting last minute things done. I’ll be getting our place ready for my parents who are coming up to Boston this year which is a change since I always go down to see them. I hope you have a productive weekend!

LOFT Puffin Pajama Set, size XXS regular (review here, size XXS shrunk to fit me perfectly)
LOFT Puffin Crew Socks (sold out online, also loving these fairisle print socks)
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane – One of my favorite illustrated books starring a rabbit
I got this puffin pajama set a while ago but I noticed that select sizes popped back in stock. Size XXS ended up shrinking to fit me perfectly and fits like XSP. LOFT’s sleepwear always make for a great, cozy gift idea.

Sudio Sweden Vasa BLÅ Wireless Freedom in pink (c/o)
Use code WHATJESSWORE on www.sudiosweden.com for 15% off
Le Creuset Baby Bear Plate – Purchased at Le Creuset Outlets at Assembly Row
Sugarfina Sugar Lips Gummies (gifted from Prudential Center marketing team, available at other department stores including Saks)
Faux Flowers from Homegoods (similar here)
Good headphones are another great gift idea and I received these Sudio VASA Blå wireless headphones two months ago. They are so light and convenient and I always have them in my purse. They also come in a convenient matching leather case for easy storage. The wireless cable is designed to make them tangle free which is my usual gripe with my other headphones. They come with 4 different sized ear sleeves and I changed mine immediately before I put them to use. After a full charge they should last up to 8 hours. I’m not an expert on sound quality but even I can tell the difference between these headphones compared to the regular iPhone earphones. They boast a studio quality sound on their website and I enjoy using these while cooking and traveling. They’re offering free express shipping and gift wrapping plus use my code WHATJESSWORE on www.sudiosweden.com for 15% off!

If you’re looking for last minute gift ideas I personally love gifts of the edible variety especially the beautifully packaged candies from Sugarfina. My favorite flavor are Parisian pineapple gummies. All their candies are too pretty to eat but you should eat them soon after you open the bento box while they are at their freshest.
I also love gifting cute mugs and tea accessories especially those from DAVIDsTEA. I made the mistake of buying my mugs above separately so I missed the 2 for $35 promotion both times! The ones I bought come with a stainless steel infuser and lid. They also have the cutest advent calendar for 24 days of tea. If you’re in the Boston area they have a location at Assembly Row and you can sample the flavors in store.

Gingerbread Mug Toppers from TJ Maxx Homegoods – $3.99
Homegoods, TJ Maxx and Marshalls are my go to places for small gifts that won’t break the bank. I found cute slippers and ready to gift sets at great prices and they have a great selection of gift wrapping and holiday cards. I also found the cutest gingerbread mug topper dupes to the Williams-Sonoma version for $3.99 versus $11.95 at TJ Maxx Homegoods. The ingredients listed are exactly the same and they’re listed in the same order. It’s shocking although not surprising how one retailer can manage to sell what is likely the same item at a significantly higher markup.

Le Creuset Baby Plates available at Le Creuset Outlet
Graefruit Dish Towel from Homegoods (similar here)
Lastly, I love all things cute so I came across these adorable baby bear plates at Le Creuset Outlet. I use mine as a spoon rest and for plating snacks. I got a few more sets to give as presents since they are perfect for friends with young kids. I noticed that they are being sold at crazy high prices on eBay and Amazon. You can see the full set here in this Amazon listing. I would check your local outlet mall for availability while they’re 50% off. My local store only had the pair of bear plates ($15 after discounts), mini cup/mug ($7.50 after discounts) and the blue and yellow small bowls ($12.50 after discounts).
MAKING MARSHMALLOW SNOWMEN

DAVIDsTEA Ski Mouse Colour Changing Nordic Mug (LEFT)
DAVIDsTEA Sweater Perfect Mug (RIGHT)
If you’re looking for a fun activity that you can do with your friends and family this holiday season I would highly recommend making marshallow snowmen to go with your hot cocoa. They’re so easy to make and I love the combination of salty and sweet. You can follow this Pinterest tutorial and make your own variations as needed based on the ingredients you have on hand. I got the “Relaxing Weekend” Holiday Cocoa Kit from Homegoods to make my snowmen before I realized that I should have just checked Pinterest. Admittedly the hot cocoa that came with the kit was disgusting so I ended up getting the Starbucks hot cocoa mix which tasted so much better. I’m glad I tested the kit before I bought more to give as presents.

I assembled each snowman using 3 large marshmallows, 5 mini pretzel sticks and a candy corn nose. Use one pretzel stick to connect all three marshmallows. The pretzel stick arms should be inserted at an angle. For the nose I used candy corn as suggested in the kit. For the eyes, mouth and buttons I made some frosting out of a little bit of hot cocoa mix (1 tbsp) combined with milk or water (1/2 tsp) and melted butter (1 tsp). I used a toothpick to make a 1/2″ slit in the head so that the candy corn would stay in place.

Have a great weekend!
