LOFT Lace Up Pointy Toe Flats in shore grey
I was browsing the jewelry section at LOFT today when I saw the right shoe for these lace up flats. I turned it over and it was my size so I asked for the mate. I fell in love with the look when I tried them on. These are actually my first pair of lace up flats so I’m very late to get into this trend. See another view of the above flats on me here. I usually take size 7-7.5 so these run slightly larger. If you’re between sizes then you may be able to go down a size. If you have narrower feet then the width may not work for you (I have slightly wider feet). They felt very comfortable so I took them home for $20. They’re currently $15 after discounts during this flash sale. Note that shore grey appears to be a mocha brown in real person.
I got this cowl neck sweater by chance one morning when my size popped back in stock online along with a few other items on my wishlist include this mockneck swing sweater (review of size XS here). I usually bookmark popular/sold out items on my phone and check on the availability if I missed out on them in my size. Size XS regular fit me really well for an oversized fit but size XXS would have been my preferred size. I love that it’s not itchy and the cowl neck drapes well. I usually wear it twice a week since it’s so cozy. I noticed that the teal color is still available here.
Ann Taylor Brushed Dot Tiered Ruffled Top, size XXS regular (currently 40% off with code WINTER40)
I saw this tiered ruffle top online and I had to have it so when it went on sale for 50% off and free shipping I snapped it up. My preferred size XXS regular fits me true to size. The ruffles are very flattering and I love the half sleeves since I’m self conscious about my upper arms.
Ann Taylor Modern Super Skinny Ankle Jeans in carnival wash, size 25/0P (old/sold out, review here)
Ann Taylor Polka Dot Fringe Top, size XSP (currently 40% off with code WINTER40)
This polka dot fringe top is the other item I ordered when it was 50% off and free shipping. The fringe detail is so much fun and size XSP fit me true to size. I’m saving this top for special occasions since it’s so much fun. An online reviewed mentioned that the fringe falls off but I haven’t washed mine yet. I usually place my items in a intimates bag to prevent delicate items from snagging with other items in the wash.
I had bookmarked these Stuart Weitzman boots for a while and my size finally popped back in stock so I ordered my size to try. I found that size 7 felt big and would have preferred going down half a size. I didn’t really love the overall look of these boots on me so I returned them but I measured the shaft and the back measured 15″ while the front of the shaft is 15.5″ so they hit be right below my knee caps. The heel height measured 1.75″. My widest part of my calves measure 13″ around and they didn’t feel too tight with my skinny jeans on underneath. There was also no noticeable gap with my jeans on so they are a good option for smaller calves. I did find that the stiff ankles made them a little difficult to get out of them but they were easy to pull on.
Crewcuts Girls’ stadium-cloth chateau parka in electric red, size 14
I really want the women’s version of the Chateau parka in electric red but I haven’t been able to get my hands on it. I did try on size 00 regular this year in black and it fit me really well. Out of curiosity, I ordered this Crewcuts version of the chateau park in girls’ size 14 and I found that it fits more like size 2 or 4 with a slightly shorter length ending mid-thigh (I’m 5′ 2 1/4″). I have since returned it but size 12 would have probably fit me best. The quality is similar to the Factory version and the hood is more generous. The measurements of size 14 are as follows:
46″ along bottom hem
23″ sleeve length
13″ upper arm circumference
29″ total length
Refer to my review of women’s size 00 regular here.
J.Crew Double-breasted coat in double-cloth wool in cornflower blue, size 00 regular
I was checking out the sale section at J.Crew the other night and I came across this wool coat in size 00 regular. I love the pretty cornflower blue color and the fit is slightly loose/boxy on me but perfect for layering. The warmth level is similar to the Chateau parka so on a scale of 1 to 5 I’d say this coat has a warmth level of 3. It was close to $120 after an extra 50% off and final sale.
Since J.Crew is having a decent sale for 40% off (use code MUSTHAVE) I ordered these Gemma leopard flats again (review here) but this time in my correct size 7 as well as these Elsie suede pumps in sandy brown. I have the older, enamel heel version last seen here. I let go of size 6.5 of the Gemma leopard flats on my Poshmark closet a while back.
I love this small decorative tray (see it here) and this mirrored picture frame (see it here) from the Zara Home sale. Other sale items that caught my eye include this larger decorative tray (this wooden version is pretty too), this pretty tea light holder, this white braided basket, this fun elephant shaped basket and this fox cuddly toy which would make a cute small baby present. I ordered this Zara a-line duffle parka in XS for $149.99 last week and it should arrive on Tuesday. I noticed that it’s now $99.99 so hopefully I can get a price adjustment if it fits and is a keeper. It’s now available in a new, gorgeous grey marl color here for their new SS/17 collection which retails for $229.
Finally, I’ve been wanting this Henri Bendel Uptown Mini Satchel (a blogger favorite) for a long time and it’s now on sale for $149 and an extra 10% off. I’ve never seen this bag in person to check out the quality hence my hesitation to order it sight unseen. I’m also not familiar with their return policy.
