Happy New Year!
There are so many good sales going on right now including all the amazing markdowns (up to 75% off original retail prices) at LOFT! This tasseled infinity scarf is a new addition to my closet and it’s currently 40% off, my favorite cowl tunic sweater is currently on sale for $22 after discounts so I got it in ripened plum (see the oatmeal color on me here) and my favorite sateen leggings are now $39.50.
Since no code is needed online for the promotion on select full-price styles you can use the stackable code INSIDER295 online for an additional $25 off qualifying full-price promotional purchases of $100+ (excludes Lou & Grey items).
Alternatively, use the code LOVELOFT for an extra 25% off (or extra 20% off for non-cardmembers) qualifying full-price promotional purchases of $100+. This may work out better than the insider code. Note: The shopping cart only accepts one code per order.

FITTING ROOM REVIEWS
Lou & Grey Eyelash Sweater, size XS regular
I normally wouldn’t try a fuzzy sweater but Su asked me to try this on in navy (see it on me here) and then I also tried it on in white. The white one looks more flattering on me but the fit is generous and runs at least one size bigger. I need this sweater in size XXS regular for the best fit but I am tempted to get size XS regular because it looks adorable. I recommend giving this sweater a try even though it doesn’t look like much on the table and you may be pleasantly surprised. Refer to this clip for another look of the fit on me in size XS.
LOFT Textured Stripe Top, size XS regular
I’m a sucker for stripes and I love this new textured stripe top. The material reminds me of a towel so it will be prone to getting snagged at the looped material if you’re not careful. There is also a zipper in the back for those wary of their hair getting caught on it. I know I accidentally zipped some of my hair while getting it on. This top runs true to size and since XS regular was a bit loose on me I need it in my usual size XXS regular. I like the slightly longer length which covers my front and backside.
LOFT Striped Belted Cardigan, size XS regular
I usually stay away from belted things but I had to try this cardigan on. The fabric is a thicker weight so there’s a lot of excess material on the sides. In person it seemed to add a lot of bulk to my waist/hips when belted which I don’t like. You can also see it on me unbelted here. This cardigan runs true to size but given the open style you may want to go down a size. Size XS regular fit me pretty well in the overall length. Speaking of belted cardigans, I also ordered this cardigan after seeing it on Jean and I will see if that is more flattering on me due to the thinner material.
I was skeptical at first but I like the look of these cuffed jeans and they are a great casual look. I’ve never tried on the curvy fit jeans before but size 25/0P fits me well and it runs true to my usual size at LOFT for their denim. I usually prefer the legging jeans or the modern skinny jeans for my straight figure.
The striped slit swing tee which I have is also available in grey and red. I’m trying on size XS regular and this top runs true to size. The side slits don’t come up too high so a layering cami is optional for me. I found that the red color is slightly sheer even with nude undergarments.
Slit Swing Tee in wildfire red, size XS regular
Lou & Grey Nash Cowl Pullover, size XS regular
I love this new cowl neck pullover (currently available in stores first) but I wish that the length wasn’t so short/cropped. This top fits true to size but as you may be able to see from this clip my stomach would be exposed from the slits on the side if I lifted my arms. You would have to wear a cami with this top to ensure more coverage. It’s also available in three solid colors here.
LOFT Paneled Stripe Top, size XS regular
I love how the stripe panels for this top which runs true to size. I didn’t absolutely love this top on me but stripe collectors may want to snap this one up as it’s an easy t-shirt to wear alone or for layering purposes.
LOFT Pebble Tiered Ruffle Blouse, size XS regular
I had to try this blouse on due to the ruffles but between the busy print and all of the tiers I found this top to be too busy/frilly for my taste. It has a cropped overall length but otherwise it fits true to size for a swingy fit.
LOFT Lace Hem Tee, size XS regular
I love the pretty floral lace hem on this tee for added interest. I found that it runs slightly big since XS was baggy on me so I would suggest sizing down due to the wider boatneck style opening. This tee fits very similar to the striped boatneck tee from last year which I reviewed here. Update 1/16: I tried on size SP and the shoulders fit me better than XS regular but it was still a bit too loose. I need this top in my usual size XSP for the best fit.
LOFT Tulip Lace Swing Dress, size XS regular
I was curious about the fit of this new tulip lace dress and the swingy fit is similar to the lace babydoll dress from last year (see size XXS on me here, review of size S regular here). I’d say this dress runs true to size but you may want to size down and/or try petites if you want a slightly more fitted look.
LOFT Marled Cable Tunic Sweater, size XS regular (currently sold out but sizes do pop back)
I saw this marled sweater on a few bloggers and I even ordered small petite but I returned it because the waist is more fitted and the sleeves were a tad snug. Size XS regular fits me a bit better with a more relaxed fit and longer overall length but I just didn’t love this sweater on me.
LOFT Shimmer Boucle Top, size XS regular
On the other hand, I loved this shimmer boucle top and size XS regular fits me pretty well. I’d say this top fits true to size so size XXS regular or XSP would be the best fit on me. I actually tried on two of them since the first one had a small snag in it due to the boucle material. This boucle sweater is a thinner material than the marled sweater. The slight shimmer is subtle and tasteful.
My insta-friend (and fit twin) Su wanted to see this bell sleeve sweater in the red color so I tried it on since my local store had it in the sale section. I prefer the white version myself (review here) but I passed due to the longer sleeves which would stick out of my jacket sleeves. Aside from the longer sleeves this sweater runs true to size.
LOFT Cowl Neck Dress, size XSP
I came across this cute cowl neck dress while shopping the sale section. Size XSP fit true to size but the sleeves were a tad snug on me. I also found the material to be a bit thin and see through but it should work with leggings and boots.
LOFT Funnel Neck Coat, size SP
This funnel neck coat is another sale try-on. I tried on size SP which was a bit loose on me so it’s perfect for layering. My usual size XXS would have been my preference since the petite sleeves are always too short for my long arms. This coat runs true to size in case your size pops back in stock online during this markdown period.
LOFT Swing Puffer Coat, size XS regular
Finally, I tried on this swing puffer coat (another request from Su) and I found that it’s a very warm coat but boy are the sleeves long! They almost reached the tip of my thumb so I would guess that size XS regular has 28″ sleeves. Note that there is an online review that complained about the sleeves being too short for petites but I personally found that the regular missy sleeves are longer than normal. My little sister is 5’7″ with long arms and even she only takes 26″ sleeves while I’m 5’2″ and I prefer 23″ sleeves. It’s not too puffy but I got lost in the swingy shape throughout the body. I think the coat would be better suited for someone with hips or as a maternity coat.
