Spring Wishlist

LOFT Ruffle Cuff Top, size XXS regular

We’ve been enjoying spring-like temperatures in Boston this week. Out come my favorite white skinny jeans which I’m guilty of wearing as often as possible come spring and summer but more sparingly in fall and winter. These petite friendly white jeans also back again at Ann Taylor with the same fit as last year. This year’s version is 98% cotton and 2% spandex while last year’s version was 81% cotton, 10% lyocell, 7% polyester and 2% spandex. Refer to my review here. Don’t let anyone tell you that it’s too early for white jeans. Check out what this article has to say about white jeans after Labor Day and other fashion rules to break!

I also tried on the J.Crew toothpick jeans in white and size 24 fit me in the waist but I would prefer the petite inseam for the best fit. My local J.Crew carried petites very briefly last year in store but it looks like they took away the petite section once again (replaced with crewcuts) which I’m bummed about. In any case, I personally prefer the fit (love narrow ankle openings) and price point of the Ann Taylor white skinny jeans.

Bandolino Opali

Bandolino Opali

I’ve been shopping for spring shoes and specifically neutral, low heel options. I just received these Bandolino Opali sandals in pink and taupe which I shared on my Instagram stories yesterday. I’ll share a better picture of them this weekend in good lighting. I love Bandolino shoes for their comfort since I have slightly wider feet. If you have narrower feet and ankles then you will not like the fit. I’m also eying these Talbots flower-topped driving flats which are similar to my beloved suede version I have in light acorn and black.

I’ve been culling my items to make room for spring closet refresh. For that lust-have spring bag, I’m coveting this minimalist Celine micro belt bag as spotted in Yvonne’s Instagram (@vonneywong) recently. The larger size is really heavy and structured and I hope to find the micro size to try on this weekend. Meanwhile I still love my white lasercut crossbody from Ann Taylor last year. I didn’t love the white strap and I found a chain replacement from Amazon (style 2 in the listing, refer to this clip here). 100cm is a bit short to be worn as a crossbody so I would recommend getting at least 120cm.

Here are the other bags I’m eyeing this season:

I recently listed my Louis Vuitton Trevi PM in Damier Ebene for sale on my Poshmark closet. If you’re interested I will review private offers via the app. I plan on listing a few other bags soon as well. In case anyone else is looking to resell their LV bags, I had a really difficult time finding and seeing the date code for authentication purposes on my bag. It was where I thought it was inside the larger pocket after doing research online but I couldn’t actually see it until I used a flash light at night. Also, in order to capture a picture of the stamped letters and numbers I had to turn on the flash on my iPhone. Without flash you really can’t see it against the red alcantara lining. You can read more about LV date codes here.

LOFT NEW ARRIVALS

I’m excited to host another shopping party at my local LOFT with my co-workers next week. It’s been busy at work and I finally got to browse through the entire site to check out the latest spring arrivals. Here are some of the new arrivals that caught my eye and/or are on my wishlist:

ANN TAYLOR SALE ALERT

Get an extra 60% off sale styles at Ann Taylor with the code FEB60. Online only. Sale ends 2/27 at 3AM ET. I spotted this code on my phone but my desktop only displays the extra 40% off promotion on sale styles. Below are my favorite sale tops:

I would suggest sizing down on these blouses. I took size XXSP for the leafy tiered lantern sleeve blouse (review of size XS regular here). You can also see size XXSP on Su@allaboutloft although she needed to exchange hers for size XSP. I’m going to exchange the butterfly print pleated flounce top tomorrow for size XSP due to the longer 3/4 length sleeves on size XXS regular (review here, as seen here).

Have a great weekend!
