Cyber Spring: Get FREE Shipping + 50% Off At Ann Taylor

Ann Taylor Ruffle Hem Sweater Outfit

Ann Taylor is having their cyber spring event. Get free shipping + 50% off your entire purchase! Use code CYBER50. Sale ends 3/28 at 3AM ET. Valid online only. Last weekend I stopped by my local store and picked up this adorable ruffle hem sweater when it was 40% off. It has a cropped fit so I ended up taking size M for a more relaxed fit. The width and length of this sweater fits like size XS petite of my favorite LOFT cowl tunic sweater (last seen here). My husband said the the ruffles remind him of dumpling pleats.

I won an in store shoe raffle and picked up my free Erika suede bow sandals today c/o my local store (check out my Instagram story for the review). They fit half a size larger and the front straps are soft, comfortable and stretchy in case you have slightly wider feet like me. The 2.5″ heel is manageable too!

Ann Taylor Ruffle Hem Sweater, size M regular

Ann Taylor Ruffle Hem Sweater in winter white, size M regular

This ruffle hem sweater has a cropped fit so I ended up taking size M for a more relaxed fit in the body and longer overall length. The sleeves were a tad long due to sizing up so I cuffed them once. My online True Fit profile recommended size XS regular so I went up two sizes from that. If you would like a more fitted look then I would still recommend going up a size for a more flattering fit. I loved both colors but last weekend I only took home the winter white one since it was only 40% off. It’s tempting to get the coral color below now that it’s 50% off and free ship. I started to add things to my shopping cart as soon as I saw the sale go live but I am still deciding what to narrow it down to since sales like these spell trouble for me.

Ann Taylor Marled Bolero Jacket, size 0P

Ann Taylor Marled Bolero Jacket, size 0P

This bolero jacket was on my wishlist for a while and I finally had a chance to try it on. I love the light grey color, the texture and the fit. Size 0P fit me true to my usual size at Ann Taylor. I also tried on size 00P which fit me as well but it was a little snug in the middle of my forearm. I tried it on again today if you check out my Instagram story. I prefer the more fitted look of size 00P and maybe my forearms were more swollen the other day if I felt warm. If I had to nitpick then I wish the back of the jacket had a pleat or something to give it more shape/interest.

Ann Taylor Fringed Tank, size XSP

Ann Taylor Fringed Tank, size XSP

I needed something to pair with the bolero jacket so I also grabbed this fringed tank which I believe I tried on in size XSP. I forgot to take a picture of the tag but I recall this top running true to size. This would make a great basic layering shell under blazers and cardigans or worn alone. It is slightly sheer as you can see an outline of my jeans underneath. If you plan on tucking it in and wearing a nude bra then this shell should be fine without a layering cami.

Ann Taylor Bow Back Popover, size XS regular

Ann Taylor Bow Back Popover, size XS regular

This bow back popover is a new arrival that I was hoping to see in store and I found size XS regular to try on. It runs true to size with a more relaxed but flattering fit. I would need this in size XXS regular for a better fit since the shoulder seams of size XS are coming off my shoulders. You could also wear it with the v-neck in front as shown below and layer with a pretty lace cami if neckline is too low/exposing. If you want to wear it with the bow in front then you may prefer to remove the care tag. You can remove the tag quickly and easily using a seam ripper.

Ann Taylor Floral Cutout Ruffle Shell, size XXSP

Ann Taylor Floral Cutout Ruffle Shell, size XXSP

I was looking for the striped cutout ruffle shell but I couldn’t find it in store so I tried on the same style in the floral pattern. Size XXSP fit me but it does pull a little on my bust (size 32A) while the bottom flows away from the body nicely. I ordered the striped cutout ruffle shell in size XXSP but I need to exchange it for size XSP. I’ll see if I can try on size XSP to make sure that there isn’t too much excess material on the bottom by sizing up. It runs slightly large but you will probably want to stick to your usual size at Ann Taylor.

Ann Taylor Double Flare Sleeve Top, size XS regular

Ann Taylor Double Flare Sleeve Top, size XS regular

This flare sleeve top was another top I was really interested in when I saw it online. In person I didn’t like the fabric as much (it may be prone to pilling) but the fit, color and style are on point and on trend for this season. Size XS regular fits true to size. My True Fit profile recommended size XXSP for this top but I found that size XS regular fits me pretty well. I would probably need this top in XXS regular for the best fit at the shoulders and sleeves.

Ann Taylor Strappy Off The Shoulder Top, size XS regular

Ann Taylor Strappy Off The Shoulder Top, size XS regular

I always get excited when I see straps for off the shoulder tops/cold shoulder tops since it means I can wear a regular bra. I tried on this new top in size XS regular but I found that it has a form fitting fit and I prefer my tops to flow away from the body. If I tried to size up for a more relaxed fit then the 3/4 length sleeves would be too long and I find that the slits in the sleeves (meant to create a slight flare) are not very flattering. The wide shoulder straps are really short so if you have a longer torso or larger chest then this top may result in awkward fit issues.
