Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start! I visited my tailor this weekend and found that they had moved to a bigger and brighter space on Newbury Street. I haven’t brought them many items to alter lately because there hasn’t been too many piecesI loved enough to invest in alterations. I also try my best to only keep items that fit me well off the rack.
I wore this casual outfit on Saturday and added my trusty old utility jacket from Zara since it’s starting to get chilly in the mornings and at night. I never tried mules before but these were a must have when I tried them on at T.J. Maxx. They’re so comfortable and only $16.99! I took the back pleat top in size XXSP since it fits one size bigger due to the pleats (see it on me here). I’ve been stalking these online exclusive jeans for a while and ordered size 24/00 when it popped back in stock. They arrived hemmed since the previous recipient had altered and returned the pair I received. They have a lot of stretch so I need them in the petite rise for the best fit since I kept pulling them up at the waist. I love the wash and minimal distressing. I also added this new dotted scarf for a pop of pattern against my neutral outfit.
LOFT Watercolor Dotted Infinity Scarf
LOFT Modern Skinny Ankle Jeans in Destructed Light Stonewash, size 24/00 regular (hemmed)
Zara Utility Jacket (old)
London Rag Mules ($16.99 from T.J. Maxx, exact pair for sale on Poshmark) – true to size
Kut From The Kloth Helena Denim Jacket in Empathetic wash, size XXSP (review here)
London Rag Mules – $16.99 from T.J. Maxx
Last week I mentioned in my Instagram stories that I received the wrong size for this dress which reminds me of a Lilly Pulitzer dupe. I ordered in size 0 (review here) but received size 4. The dress is on final sale but J.Crew Factory fixed the issue and I should receive the correct size this week. Meanwhile I found this past season pineapple print dress on Poshmark for $25. See this outfit on me here. I also ended up keeping the Helena denim jacket from Kut From The Kloth since the fabric is so soft. I will have to let go of one of my LOFT denim jackets to make up for this new addition.

LOFT Hibiscus Tiered Bell Sleeve Top, size XSP
I was on the fence about this floral print but I loved this top once I tried it on. The print really stands out when paired with white denim. It fits true to size since I took my usual size XSP. Refer to this clip for a better view of the top on me. I did not find the material to be too sheer and my coworker also got this top last week and she didn’t wear a cami underneath. Click here for a closeup of the color and print.
I also loved this medallion print top and size XS regular fit me well but I could have also taken my usual size XXS regular. Refer to this clip for a better view of the sizing on me. Click here for a closeup of the print.
Lou & Grey Striped Softserve Cotton Boy Tee, size S regular
I saw this cute tee on @brynbradsher and I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it but I found that the length runs short and narrow in the shoulders (I have 14″ shoulders) so I went up to size M regular for a loose, relaxed fit. Refer to this clip for a better look at size S regular on me. It is slightly sheer but not enough to bother me or require a layering cami since I’m wearing it with a loose fit.
Lou & Grey Striped Softserve Cotton Boy Tee, size M regular

LOFT Marled Sweatshirt Sweater, size XXSP
This new arrival sweater was a the top of my wishlist and it was flying off the tables at my local LOFT. The sizing runs big (I tried on size XXSP) so size down unless you prefer a slouchy look. I didn’t love the sleeves on me so I passed for now but perhaps I’ll try a different size to see if I feel differently. The material is cozy and not itchy. Refer to this clip for a better view of the sweater on me.
LOFT Button Sleeve Cutout Blouse, size XSP
The button details on the sleeves of this blouse caught my eye so I decided to try . It runs true to size but the length runs shorter so I would prefer size XXS regular for a longer overall length. Refer to this clip for another look at size XSP on me. The color is cream/off white which you can see against my white jeans. It is layered so it’s not see through.
LOFT Lace Flounce Cold Shoulder Top, size XS regular
I was going through the sale section when I came across this lace cold shoulder top. It runs true to size and I would have preferred my usual size XXS regular for the best fit. The lace detail is very pretty. Refer to this clip for a better look at size XS regular on me.
I missed out on this top when it first came out so I ordered it recently when my size popped back in stock one morning. It fits true to size but I didn’t like how sheer the pink color was so I be returning it. I wish they used a slightly thicker polyester for this top since it’s such a pretty top. I tried it with a cami underneath but it ruins the look. Refer to this clip for a better look at the top on me.
LOFT Cutoff Denim Shorts in Distressed Dark Indigo Wash, size 25/0 regular (old, similar)
I ordered this top as a filler when another top popped back in my size. I didn’t love the fit on me despite sizing down but it is a cute and comfy top. Refer to this clip for another view of the fit of size XXSP on me. The $50 free shipping minimum has been such an enabler but I’ve returned a few small orders full of items I should have never ordered. If you’re looking for a review of anything I haven’t shared here please let me know. I didn’t even bother with pictures for the items I already returned because that’s how much I didn’t care for them.
LOFT Striped Cami Pajama Set, size XXS regular
I ordered this pajama set that LOFT posted last week and I’m glad I did because it’s currently sold out in the smaller sizes online. The material is very soft and comfortable and the top has adjustable straps and a shelf bra. I found that this set fits true to size and you can see size XXS regular on me here.
Ann Taylor Tiered Lace Trim Tee, size XXSP
I also stopped by Ann Taylor and I noticed this adorable new arrival. It has a loose and long fit so I was able to fit size XXSP. Refer to this clip for a better view of the top on me. It was full price but I can’t wait until the next sale to snap it up. I wish I was wearing a layering cami that day so I could see how it looked layered since it can be a deal breaker for me. It noticed that it’s the same fabric they used for the stripe ruffle cuff blouse I reviewed here.
I love these circle drop earrings and they’re currently on sale (40% off 3 or more full-price jewelry items) in case you’re looking to add a few new pieces to your jewelry collection. I also spotted this matching necklace online.
Top: Tory Burch Cateye Sunlgasses (old)
Bottom: Ann Taylor Cateye Sunglasses – now $25
I also received these cateye sunglasses in my recent online order and highly recommend them. They look and feel like designer sunglasses and they’re currently on sale for only $25! I never ordered their sunglasses before but these arrived with a case and cleaning cloth. They also fit my Asian features well since they’ don’t cut into my cheeks when I smile. They’re a very slight cateye compared to my old Tory Burch sunglasses which my husband dislike on me.
I received this tie sleeve top in size XXS regular in both the black and striped version and it fits true to size as I previously mentioned here and here. I was steaming out the wrinkles from both tops so I had to untie the ribbon tie sleeves. Unfortunately I couldn’t tie them quite as nicely as when they arrived and one side always looked better than the other which really bugged me. The black top’s keyhole loop for the button closure was also really tight and I was struggling to clasp it. I ended up returning both tops since I found the tie sleeves to be too fussy for those mornings when I just want to get dressed and out the door for work.
Caslon Swing Back Coat in nude, size XSP
I had high hopes for this #nsale jacket but the sizing is generous. Size XSP felt like size MP. The sleeves are very wide and the waist is generous but you can cinch it in to give it more shape. However too much cinching causes the pockets to lay funny. The zipper start at the middle of the waist so if you want to close the jacket you have to use the top button (the one at the tip/corner of the open shawl collar). The jacket drapes well and it’s very light and soft. Both colors are light and the perfect neutral. See both colors here.
Lastly, these pearl embellished sandals are a must have according to every blogger I follow. I tried them on out of curiosity and they’re definitely comfortable but I didn’t love them on my feet. They had a wider fit and they don’t have the slimming look I prefer. If you have narrow feet I wouldn’t recommend these sandals since the straps will be too loose and you’ll be swimming in them.
Thanks for reading!
