It’s officially the first day of fall but here in the Philly area it still feels like summer. I’m not complaining about the unseasonably warmer temperatures since it will be cooler when we return to Boston this week. I bought this Brooks Brothers trench coat at my local factory store at Assembly Row a few weeks ago and it’s perfect for fall layering. I took size 2 and I wanted to try size 0 for comparison but when asked I was told that the factory locations do not carry the jacket in size 0. I got the coat for 25% off of $269.50. I had shared a video clip of me trying it on in my Instagram stories but I can’t find it on my phone. I’ll try to shoot and upload a new clip soon.

Ann Taylor Wool Cashmere Tie Sleeve Sweater, size XXSP
Ann Taylor Gretel Metallic Leather Slides (suede version here)

This tie sleeve sweater and this cross back open cardigan are my favorite styles from Ann Taylor’s new Luxewear collection. This sweater is 95% wool and due to the way it’s spun the material felt like it may be slightly scratchy for those with more sensitive skin. It fits about one size bigger since size XXSP fit like my usual size XSP. I thought the sleeves would be too long and bothersome but they’re not too voluminous in the petite sizing so they should fit under winter coat sleeves.

Ann Taylor Wool Cashmere Shawl Collar Coatigan, size XSP

This coatigan is a very soft and warm and it’s not itchy despite containing 95% wool (it’s a similar repeat of this style from last year). I found that it runs true to size and the sleeves of my usual size XSP were comfortable for layering with the shirt below.

Ann Taylor Stripe Poplin Bow Cuff Tunic, size XSP

I also tried on this cute blouse since I love the bows on the sleeves. One of the ties come undone it’s impossible to tie the bow again with one hand unless you take off the shirt so I passed on it. I found that it runs true to size since my usual size XSP fit me well.

Ann Taylor Textured Tweed Fluted Sleeve Jacket, size 00P

I was browsing the sale section and I spotted this sold out jacket on sale for an extra 40% off. I remember I wanted it earlier in the season so I’m glad I waited to snag it on sale for $56.09. I took size 00P for a more fitted look. Also, in full disclosure I ended up returning the tweed open jacket (review here) I ordered in size XXS since I didn’t think I would get much use out of it. I have more opportunity to wear an all black tweed jacket instead.

Caslon Drawstring Hem Utility Jacket, size XSP

The Nordstrom at King of Prussia Mall has a really good petites section so I stopped by to see what I could check out in person. I found this utility jacket which reminds me of my favorite Zara utility jacket that I still get a lot of compliments on. Usually Caslon runs big on me but this jacket runs true to size and I love the easy fit and vented storm flap in the back. It’s also available in grey.

Caslon Cowl Neck Sweatshirt, size XSP/SP

I also tried on this soft cowl neck poncho which would be really cute layered over t-shirts for the fall. This also ran true to size for a relaxed, easy fit.

I saw this wrap on @sassy.hill and I had to try it on for size. I found it a bit long on me (I’m 5′ 2.5″) and I wasn’t a fan of the artichoke color but I didn’t see the pink color to try. I prefer grey so I am interested in trying on this Madewell version.
