Happy Tuesday! I meant to get my weekly reviews out sooner but alas I was trying to get some things done at home. I loved this shirttail open cardigan so much I got it in two colors. (Update 1/29/18: This cardigan is now available in other colors here!) If you’re looking for the ‘clay fire’ color it looks like sizes are starting to pop back online as returns are processed. I always bookmark items I missed out on and “get lucky” later on when I check back.
I have the mini Le Pliage in the ‘fig’ (last seen here) and I purchased it in black since it was $74.99 at Saks OFF 5th. I also love the olive and dark grey colors and now I’m debating whether I should exchange the black one for a different color since I already had a lot of black bags. I also noticed that Saks OFF 5th has plenty of other Longchamp styles for less.

I’m sad to confirm that the free shipping on $50+ workaround has been removed from LOFT’s website as of last week. I asked my followers via my Instagram stories and the majority that responded were equally disappointed to find out that this option has been revoked. I hope LOFT will analyze the purchase behavior for the data collected between early July-October and lower the minimum shipping threshold. I miss being able to order exactly what I want whenever I want. Their website tracks when we abandon our shopping carts so hopefully that’s another indicator of what customers prefer.

Coach Nolita Crossbody in burgundy
I came across this lovely burgundy Coach Nolita crossbody bag on sale for $149.99 at Saks OFF 5th. They had two burgundy bags at my local store but I cannot find this style online. It’s also available in black. I already have this exactly style in cognac from two summers ago so I left behind the burgundy color for now.
I wore out my new Talbots bow-front flats without breaking them in and I found that they fit very narrow and snug across my slightly wider feet. I haven’t asked my husband to help me soften them up yet with his hands. I may need to go up half a size or try these in the wide width option since I can be a baby when it comes to breaking in footwear. I actually ended up getting two large blisters on the back of my heel from wearing them for a few hours. In my desperation, I picked up these Dolce Vita Bradyn slip-on leather espadrille mules in black (on sale for $39.99) for my walk home.

Last week I picked up this sweater in size SP (review of size XS regular and SP here) but I was curious about how the other sizes fit so I tried on size XXSP and XSP to compare. This sweater fits true to size for a loose fit but if you want a closer fit then you can still comfortably size down. Update 10/12/18: This sweater is back for 2018 here.

This striped t-shirt is really cute and it also comes in blue. I found that the long sleeves are a bit too short and awkward on me. Size XS was very loose fitting and felt one size larger so I would recommend sizing down for a better fit. You can see how loose fitting the top is at the waist.

I love a cozy vest for fall especially anything that comes in grey. Unfortunately this vest isn’t offered in petites but I didn’t find this vest to be too overwhelming in terms of the length and fit. Since I have smaller (14″) shoulders this vest is too broad for me and they look like weird cap sleeves over my shoulders. However, if you don’t have narrow shoulders then I would recommend trying on this vest for size if you typically take petites. Note: I reviewed another grey vest down below from LOFT Outlet.

This cozy cardigan was on my fall wishlist and I found that it runs true to size. I love this brilliant sunflower color as well as the light neutral heather color.

I had high hopes for this ribbed swing sweater and I ordered it in size XSP which you can see on me here. I also tried on size XS regular above and I’d say that this sweater is very loose fitting in the regular missy sizes but my usual size XSP fit as expected. The swing sleeves are wide/loose. If you happen to like this style it’s also available as a dress here.

This sweatshirt fits very loose and boxy in size XS regular above. I had ordered size XXS regular which fits true to size but I don’t love the fit nor the 80’s sequin detail. I’m not sure what I was thinking by ordering it in the first place but it could be a contender for an ugly Christmas sweater contest.

I received these crazy soft sweatpants in the mail last week. Size XSP runs true to size to a bit loose fitting but in a comfortable way. It has a 28″ waist and 24″ inseam which is a bit short on me. My bunny slippers from last year are also back in stock. I took size M and typically wear size 7.

Ann Taylor Ponte Skinny Pants, size 00P

I purchased these ponte skinny pants in store for 50% off ($44.50) two weekends ago. I tried on size 00P above which was too skin tight/snug so I ordered my usual size 0P. They’re online exclusives so someone returned it in store. They’re like a dressier version of leggings with all the details of regular black pants. I received size 0P in these ponte skinny pants and they still fit very snug through the legs so I exchanged them for size 2P which is a more comfortable and flattering fit.
I wanted to quickly mention that I machine washed this bell sleeve top on cold but I was extremely disappointed to see that the length shrunk a lot! I only air dried it too since I never put my tops in the dryer. I will have to steam out the top to see if that helps to relax the fibers that caused the rayon blend (84% rayon, 14% polyester, 2% spandex) to shrink. Usually rayon blends don’t shrink so I am a bit puzzled why this happened. Update 10/18: I steamed the top and it helped a bit with the overall length but the top is noticeably shorter than when I originally purchased it.

I love this grey sleeveless sweater vest and it fits true to size. I love the print and the pumpkin color of this dress for the fall. I found that this dress fits true to size since my usual size 0P fit me well. Lastly, I picked up this cascading always cardigan at J.Crew Factory in grey and I took size XS. It fits true to size but the sleeves run long so they better pushed up on me. Note that I purchased it for a better sale price in store for $27.Update 10/25: I like the shawl collar open cardigan that I recently picked up at LOFT more (review here) so I’m giving this to my little sister. The longer 25.5″ sleeves should fit her perfectly since she’s 5’7″ and all arms and legs.
