See size XS regular on me here. I’d say this sweater fits true to size but some may have an issue with the overall length in which case you may want to try sizing up. As mentioned in my previous blog post I really want to try this striped peplum sweater after seeing it on Lilly who is 5’6″ but note that the color is a light tan/cream in person and not white. I found that this sweater is a odd length on me but I haven’t had a chance to try it on in petites yet for comparison. The sleeves fit a a lot looser when I tried sizing up to size S regular for extra length. It’s meant to be a shorter length hitting the model higher on her hips but I’m 5′ 2.5″ so size S regular covers my front and backside.

I originally passed on this blouse but it looked so cute on so many bloggers that I decided to try it on. It has a wider fit so you can size down and it’s slightly sheer so a layering cami is recommended. I would prefer this top in my usual size XXS regular for the best fit but my size quickly sold out online. If fits just like this shirred peplum shell (review here) from last summer.

I saw this blouse in stores and I love the stripes and floral print mix. This top runs true to size and if you want a flowy fit then you may want to try a size up from your usual size at LOFT. I would prefer this top in my usual size XXS regular so that it drapes well but I noticed that my size sold out online. The only thing that I’m on the fence about is the fact that it’s 100% rayon. If anyone has worn and washed this top please share if it has washed well.

See this blouse tucked in here. This blouse is very long and it runs one size bigger so I would suggest sizing down and/or trying it on in petites unless you prefer the longer length. For example, my coworker has a larger bust so she took her usual size at LOFT. This floral print fits just like the piped blouse pictured below since they’re the exact same ‘shirred keyhole blouse‘ style.

This off white blouse has been on my wishlist. I love the black trim at the neckline and sleeves for added interest. I tried on size XXSP and I found that it runs one size larger. Size XXSP still fits like a loose fitting size XSP. The polyester material isn’t too thin so it isn’t too see through. I’d say that a layering cami is optional. The v-neck doesn’t dip too low which I like. This style is also available in other prints and colors here.
Below is a side by side comparison of both shirred blouses so you can see how long they are given that one is size XXSP while the other is size XS regular.

Su asked me to try on this cold shoulder top but it turns out she was also able to try it on in stores. See size XS regular on Su (swipe right three times). It has a very generous and wide fit. She ordered and received size XXS regular which she said still fit similar to size XS regular. I would suggesting going down one to two sizes if you’re interested in this top due to the generous and wide cut.

I came across an in store return of this open hoodie and now I wish I had purchased it in stores. Size XXSP fit me well but the sleeves were a bit snug if I wanted to layer so I probably need my usual size XSP. Hopefully I’ll come across another since I originally wanted this hoodie in the green color which I bought for my mom.

I originally saw this blouse on Samanatha in her Instagram stories and I couldn’t get it out of my mind so I was so excited when it became available for purchase online. This blouse has a longer overall length and size XXSP fits like size XSP. It is sheer so a layering cami is required. I just ordered this nude cami (thanks to Ly for letting me know that the clean cami is offered in petites) in sizes XSP and SP to try. I also tried to style this blouse three ways as follows:

This blouse runs very big since size XXSP fits more like size SP. I ordered size XSP and XXSP but I didn’t even bother to try on size XSP yet due to how size XXSP fits. It’s lined but still very sheer so a nude cami is recommended. I have to steam out the wrinkles and try it on again in natural lighting to get a better sense of how see through it is.

I wanted this cardigan in the olive color but I ordered the whisper white color for now sine the olive color sold out very quickly. I’d say this cardigan fits true to size for an oversize fit. I noticed that the sleeves are not very loose so you may want to size up if you plan to layer anything thicker that is also long sleeves. I was trying it on a few long sleeves tops under it but it kept on bunching up when I pulled on the sleeves to put the cardigan. For now I paired it with an old sleeveless top from last spring.

This sweater is very photogenic but I’m on the fence about keeping it after receiving size XXS regular. I feel like the neckline is too loose and the overall length is a bit too long. It would be a cute sweater to wear on a chilly spring day as styled below with white jeans.

I thought the little patches on these stripe tees were really cute but but I somehow missed the pictures where they showed the wide sleeves. The shirt fits true to size but the drop shoulders made for an unflattering fit at the chest on me. Cuffing the sleeves a few times helps to hide the wide, ill-fitting sleeves. This shirt runs a bit narrow at the waist and hips since it has a straight fit through the body. In person it looks like a rumpled shirt on me so I’m returning it due to the poor fit. The material has a good weight to it so at least it’s not see through. The black and white stripes with the cactus patch would have been my other choice.
LOFT Bubble Hem Jacket, size XXS regular (sold out, review of size XSP here)
I recently ordered this rain jacket in a moment of weakness and on final sale since size XXS regular had popped back in stock. The jacket is a bit more trendy than what I usually wear. Size XXS regular fits similar to size XSP but the sleeves look slightly longer. For reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and 107-110 pounds.
Old Navy Hooded Canvas Rain Jacket, size XS petite
The simplicity of this jacket caught my eye. Size XSP has 20.5″ sleeves which are too short for me since I usually prefer 23-24″ sleeves. It has a relaxed fit so you can size down if you prefer a closer fit. There’s also a hidden drawstring tie on both sides at the waist to give it more shape and it’s unlined so it’s suitable for spring and summer. It has two functional pockets and this jacket would be perfect for petites that need shorter sleeves. The slight shirttail hem is very flattering. Note that the sleeves are wider at the end of the wrist. I would have preferred if the sleeves came in more for a more polished look. I am on the fence about keeping this jacket due to the sleeves and I wish they carried size XXS regular like LOFT.

The olive color and cute bubble sleeves caught my eye when I spotted this jacket. It’s is a thin quilted jacket more suitable for fall and milder winters. It has a slightly fit through the body so I belted it without zipping it in order to give it more shape. The sleeves were a few inches above my wrists so they are around 20-21″. This jacket should work for petites if you need a shorter sleeve length. It also has functional pockets for your hands. I liked that it’s collarless for a clean and chic look. I wish this jacket came in size XXS regular like LOFT since I need the extra overall length.

I love a good striped top so I grabbed both colors to try. The overall length of size S petite is very similar to the overall length of size XS regular. The material isn’t too thin but the body has a boxy fit and shorter overall length. I wish I tried on S regular and M petite for comparison as well since I would prefer a looser fit at the hips. Note that the petite sleeves are ever so slightly shorter than the regular size.

I featured a few Nordstrom cardigans in my Instagram stories last week this was the only cardigan that I would recommend since the other two cardigans (pictured below) had quality issues as mentioned in my stories. Note that I am speaking in these video clips. All three cardigans ran big and are not available in petites. This cardigan has very long (26″) sleeves so it’s perfect if you’re taller (my little sister is 5’7″ and she takes 26″ sleeves). This is a thinner cardigan making a versatile layer year round.

I really liked the color and texture of this cardigan but it has a very oversize fit and the one I received had a hole hear one of the pockets as you can see here. I was tempted to order another one but I think this cardigan is too big for and it’s not offered in a smaller size.
Bp. Blouson Sleeve Knit Cardigan, size XXS
I can never resist white cardigans so I ordered this one to try. Unfortunately the sleeves are very long and I first tried on this cardigan with black pants and noticed it left white lint all over my pants. I also didn’t like how this cardigan draped on me so it went back since I didn’t love the quality or fit.
