I love this white eyelet hem top and I’ve worn it often. Lately I feel like I’ve ordered a ton of things online but a lot of it just hasn’t worked out. FYI. I received the first large package of my #nsale orders tonight so I updated my previous blog post with measurements and sizing details until I’m able to share the try-ons via my Instagram stories and here on the blog.
I’m back again with a fun new post since I had some new fitting room reviews to share now that it’s 40% off everything at LOFT (or 50% off for LOVELOFT cardmembers)! Get 40% off PLUS styles (PLUS styles ship for free). You can also save an extra 50% off sale styles. Use code HOTHOTHOT. The sale ends Sunday 7/22 at 5PM ET so it’s entirely possible there could be some sort of online flash sale after this latest promotion. I’m taking a wild guess that it’ll be a flash sale on the sale/clearance section.
I love this dotted v-neck flare dress recommended by my friend Su. I tried on size XS regular in store today after work (see it on me here) and I ordered size XS petite. Size XS regular has a very deep/plunging v-neck. Shop my sales picks here (how cute is this pink button detail cami?):

TRY-ONS WITH A SPECIAL GUEST
Today’s special guest appearance is my friend Sandy of Sandy a la mode! I finally got to meet her while she was briefly in town for work this week. She’s just a sweet and bubbly in person as she is online and I really respect her hustle (she’s a busy working mom of 2 in addition to being a blogger). We connected on Instagram over our mutual love of LOFT and let me tell you that she is quite the deal queen when it comes to online shopping other retailers! Anyway Sandy had the fun idea to do some joint try-ons of the same pieces since we’re different sizes/body types.
For size reference, Sandy is pear shaped and she’s 5’4″, 150 pounds and she is usually size small regular in tops and size 28/6 regular in bottoms. I have minimal curves and I’m 5’2.5″, 108 pounds and I am usually size XSP in tops and 25/0P in bottoms.
LOFT Striped Elbow Sleeve Blouse (Sandy: S regular Me: XS petite) | LOFT Denim Pocket Shift Skirt (Sandy: 8P Me: 0P) | Shoes on Sandy: 1.State Saffy Block Heel Pump (the grey color she has is a past season color) | Shoes on Me: Soludos Ibiza Classic Sneakers (true to size to 1/2 size larger) | Click here to view the clip from our try-on
The petite item number for this skirt is 475060 but it’s not yet available online but regular and tall sizes are available for purchase. Sandy sized up to size 8P in the skirt and I tried on size 0P above. I ended up going down to size 00P as seen here since my hips didn’t fill out my usual size 0P. The top runs true to size for both of us for a relaxed fit. Update 7/23: The petite sizes are now available for purchase online. The measurements of size 00P are: 26″ waist and 27.5″ total length.
Sandy took her usual LOFT size S regular in this dress and since she is pear shaped the dress accentuates her waistline nicely. I have a straight figure so there is excess material above the elastic waistband as seen on me here so the dress is still too loose fitting even though I tried sizing down to XXS petite. If you love this floral print it is also available as a top.
Sandy and I both tried on this dress in size XS regular. The dress has a very relaxed and swingy fit but it still looks cute on both of us but Sandy would have preferred a size up for the extra length. If you love this simple t-shirt style dress then you’ll be happy to know it’s also available in a grey/light blue color here.
This flared dress looked really cute but the empire waist is a few inches lower than we both would have preferred if you watch this clip from our try-on.
For me size 00 petite in this dress fit like how size 0 petite would normally fit.
The store didn’t have this romper in regular missy yet so Sandy went up one size from her usual size 6 regular and she tried on size 8 petite which fit her well. I tried on my usual size 0 petite and the waist fit me true to size but the top portion is loose fitting on my smaller chest and very noticeable if I don’t watch my posture. Size 00 petite would likely me too snug at my waist if size 0 petite is a comfortable fit but I’ll keep an eye out next time I go to the store. The back of the romper is really cute as seen here.
This striped hoodie is so comfy and I loved the relaxed fit of size XS regular. I’m glad I tried it on in stores otherwise I would have ordered it in petites and then I would lose the length. The sleeves are longer but you can easily cuff them.
I love this star print top but I wish I was able to try it before July 4th. If you like this print it’s also available as dress (review here). My usual size XSP was a comfortable fit compared to the similar pink version of this style top which I tried on below in sizes XXSP and XSP.
This pink top is very sweet but it is sheer since you can clearly see the waistband of my white jeans. I tried on size XXSP but the arm holes and bust were too tight so my usual size XSP as seen here was a more comfortable but relaxed fit.
I love the easy fit of this top and my usual size XSP is still a loose on me but I love the cool and casual summer vibe. The material is slightly sheer so a layering cami may be a good idea. This shirt would also make a cute swimsuit coverup with shorts.
I really wanted this pretty top to work out but the boxy fit didn’t flatter me at all and the material is slightly sheer even with a nude bra. The PLUS version of this top has cuter half sleeves which I would have preferred.
I previously tried on this top in size SP in this post but my usual size XSP has a very boxy fit through the shoulders that I didn’t love. It’s easier to see what I mean by my fit issue if you view the video clip here.
I had high hopes for this adorable polka dot romper but the torso is too long. I thought about making it work by tucking it into the elastic waistband but I returned it since I am trying not to settle on ill-fitting items. Aside from my issue with the long torso of this romper the waist and hips of size XXSP fits like my usual size XSP at LOFT.
LOFT Outlet Bow Strap Cropped Flounce Top, size XXSP (petite item no. 463286) | LOFT Slim Tie Waist Pants, size 24/00P (review of the black color here) | Click here, here and here to view the clips from my try-on
The search for the perfect white work dress pants continues. The pocket lining of these dress pants are too sheer and show through the front and backside and I also didn’t love the crepe-like material. The waist and hips of size 00/24P fits like my usual size 25/0P. The white pair also seems to be less baggy in the thighs on me compared to the black color I reviewed here. The measurements of size 00P are: 8.5″ rise, 28″ waist, 26″ hips and a 25.25″ inseam.
