If you’re a Boston local you can use the Prudential Center’s PRUferred Card to save 20% off your full-price purchase at LOFT (excludes Lou & Grey) or Ann Taylor. There is no minimum purchase amount required to use the card. The PRUferred discount works on full-price and full-price promotional items. I called the Prudential LOFT store for clarification and they confirmed that the PRUferred card will not work on top of store wide (percentage off) sales so the card will not work during this 40% off everything sale. However, the PRUferred card will combine on top of promotions on select full-price items (e.g. this $25 sweater). Stop by the Concierge Desk located in the Center Court to pick up a PRUferred card for free.
Last week I had a shopping event with a few coworkers after work and I learned that my local LOFT store (@loveloft_prudentialcenter) will be carrying an extended Petites collection. They’re the pilot store for extended Petites. They will no longer be carrying Lou & Grey in their store. I had noticed that they already started moving around the store layout a bit since the PLUS collection got moved to where the old space for Lou & Grey used to be.

I wore this outfit last weekend. I love the crossover hem on the black t-shirt. My exact sweater vest is an old favorite but I found two other great options. The LOFT Outlet version of this shawl collar vest comes in petites while the regular LOFT version of this pocket sweater vest only comes in missy sizes.
TRY ONS & FITTING ROOM REVIEWS

This tan coatigan was on my wishlist but unfortunately it doesn’t come in petites so the overall length is a bit longer than I expected. It would stick out under all of my coats and jackets so I begrudgingly returned it. It contains 20% wool so it may be itchy for some.

I took this sweatshirt in my usual size XSP. It’s a relaxed but flattering fit and I love the twist front detail for added interest.

I took this festive peplum top in my usual size XSP. The sweatshirt material is really soft.

See size XSP on me here. I went with size XXSP (pictured above) which fits like size XSP. This peplum top is lined and not too sheer. I was deciding between this top and the Ann Taylor ruffle v-neck blouse I reviewed here but I got this top for now. I keep missing out on my size in the Ann Taylor blouse and I had even ordered size XXSP but it was too small and too short.

This polka dot top fits very loose in my usual size XSP so I opted to only get the olive peplum top. It fits similar to this popular white lace dot peplum blouse from the spring/summer which I took in XXS regular.

This top fits similar to this mixed stripe fluid blouse from last year. I am trying on my usual size XSP which is a loose, flowy fit. I always have an issue with static cling for polyester tops during the winter due to the dry indoor heat if you watched the video clip that I linked here.

I saw this doggy tee on my friend Su so I thought I would give it a try too. I took home my usual size XSP. The tee is slightly sheer but not too bad with a nude bra and I like the shirttail hem and length in petites.

I like the floral print of this dress and it’s a bit shorter than what I usually wear but I figured with tights and boots or booties it would be a good fall dress with a cardigan over it. The keyhole opening in front wasn’t too low.

I love the grey speckled version of this sweater so I tried on this green color. My usual size XSP wasn’t too short so I took home this color as well. I compared size XXS regular which I have in grey with size XSP in green and it’s about 1″ shorter in petites. I showed this sweater to my coworker who is 5’7″ and she has a longer torso so she actually sized up for extra length since there is a noticeable difference between size M and size L regular (size M was her usual size but size L flowed and draped better on her).

I love this buffalo plaid scarf since it’s very soft and not too thick. I have a feeling my mom will want one too if I bring it with me next week for vacation. I may just give it to her since I already have the past season J.Crew Factory plaid pom pom scarf which is similar.

I’m a sucker for anything grey so naturally this soft grey top caught my eye. The cowl neck fits like a loose turtleneck so it’s not tight around your neck. Size XS regular is a relaxed fit so I probably should have gone with size XXS regular but I settled on size XS regular since I really wanted it right then and there.

I received a request to try this dress and the measurements for my usual size 0P are: 34″ bust (measured pit to pit), 28″ waist and 34″ total length. The dress is fully lined and 100% polyester. I didn’t like how it fit through the waist and bust since it’s a bit loose on me and doesn’t do anything for my figure.

I also received a request to try on these button fly jeans and I tried on my usual size 25/0P which fits true to size. They’re a bit stiffer than I prefer so I didn’t get them since I like more stretch and give.

These sateen leggins are back but this year’s version runs one size bigger. My usual size was too loose so I would need to size down. The material they use tends to stretch out at the knees throughout the day so I decided to pass on them this year.

I tried on these double frayed hem black jeans per someone’s request. The material is very soft and stretchy and they fit true to LOFT sizing. The petite inseam was slightly longer than I prefer and I couldn’t find any shoes that I loved with these jeans so I ended up returning them.

I tried on size XXSP in this hooded cardigan and it still fits loose through the sleeves. I had gone with my usual size XSP but I could have sized down as well since the cardigan is an oversized fit. I am happy enough with my usual size though. Update 11/14: This cardigan is not available in light grey.

I wanted to love this pretty marled grey sweater but I did not like how it doesn’t flatter my waist and adds bulk to my mid section. Size XS regular is longer on me since I’m petite at 5′ 2.5″

I previously tried on the taupe color in this cardigan here but I found the color difficult to match with a lot in my closet so I ended up returning it. It fits true to size but the sleeves were snug. Since it contains 26% wool some people may find it to be too itchy.

I finally got a chance to try on these dark wash legging jeans again and after trying on my usual size (above) and the size up (below) I decided to go up one size. Refer to my previous review here.
My usual size 25/0P petite were a bit to snug (to the point where the pocket lining was pulling as shown in the above video clip) so I took size 26/2P. I was shopping with my coworkers who had also purchased these jeans. They had different body types but they both took the jeans in their usual size. I was the only one that chose to size up. The measurements of the new pair of 26/2P I bought in store are: 8.5″ rise, 27″ waist, 29″ hips, 25.5″ inseam, 9″ ankle opening. I was happy that the inseam is longer than the first pair that I bought which is 27/4P if I go by the sizing label sewn inside the first pair as seen here.
The first pair of these jeans that I purchased must have been a mislabeled anomaly. Today I wore out the pair I repurchased which was correctly labeled size 26/2P today and it does stretch out a bit so that I was pulling it up. Therefore, I would go with your usual LOFT size in denim knowing that these jeans have a lot of stretch.

I spotted this suede moto jacket in petites in store on the mannequin but I couldn’t find another one to try on. The petite sizes are a separate online listing (thanks to Leilani for helping me with the web ID for petites) and it is also available in regular missy sizes.

I tried on this cute thermal peplum top but size P/S was a bit loose on me while the sleeves were a tad short. I probably need size P/XS. This top is currently $15.80 with code VETS and it comes in three colors too! I noticed it only comes in petites.

I also came across this gorgeous petite black leather jacket in size P which was a snug fit on me. I would need the next size up to more comfortably layer underneath. I haven’t seen this jacket on sale yet since I saw it in store but hopefully there will be a sale with Black Friday around the corner.

I loved this flecked, neutral turtleneck sweater but I couldn’t believe that it’s $298 retail. It’s 100% cashmere and very soft, comfortable and well made. Size XS regular fit me well but the sleeves are very long so perhaps I need to try size XXS regular.

I wanted these Elevated over-the-knee-boots since last year when I saw them on my friend Jules. They are a great fit through the legs if you have narrow calves. The length of these boots are longer since my toes are 1″ away from the end of the front of the shoes. I’m 5′ 2.5″ and I have 12.5″ calves. Since I’m shorter they are borderline thigh high boots on me. You can also find the boots on eBay if you are certain of your size and as long as you buy them through a seller with positive reviews. The measurements of size 7 are: 22.5″ shaft, 15″ circumference, 8″ ankles, 2.5″ heel.
I ended up reordering the boots in size 6.5 which fits me well. They were $339.16 this past Sunday after 50% off and $10 off for signing up for their email list. I tried to use Shoprunner for the return but it directed me to use the retailer’s return process instead so I will see how soon I get the funds credited back to my card.

I tried this down jacket in size XS and S again. I was wearing a sweater vest instead of a chunky long sleeve sweater so it was easier for me to fit and zip up size XS. I like that this is not a bulky puffer coat but I haven’t seen it go on sale yet. My husband also tried on the men’s version which I shared here. Update 11/11: I tried on the ultra light down hooded coat yesterday and I fit size XS as well and I noticed this one is a longer length (hitting just above my knee caps).

My husband loves these beautiful leather cognac sneakers which were $57.60 with the Banana Republic cardmember 50% off an no exclusions code + code BRCARD for an extra 10% off so we bought two in black and two in cognac since he always wears the same styles on repeat. He took them in his usual size. I haven’t bought him a big new haul for casual clothing since 2012 so it was a long overdue shopping trip.
I also created a new page for my husband’s picks in case anyone is interested especially since the holiday gifting season is coming up. The link to this page will be available as a drop down option under the ‘Shop’ tab.
I was looking for these cute slip on sneakers but I saw these comfy loafers in store today. I tried them on and they run true to size. I only saw the orange color but I like these three colors (get 20% off when you purchase 2 or more shoes or bags with the code YOUSLEIGH):

Lastly, if you love Meghan Markle’s style I was pleasantly surprised to see her carrying the Cuyana Mini Chain Saddle bag (c/o) which I had reviewed here. I like how she chose to carry the bag with the chain strap at a shorter length. In order to achieve the shorter strap length you will need to knot the gold chain once closest to the leather portion of the strap. Refer to these video clips on how to shorten the drop length of the strap: 1, 2. The quartz color is currently sold out but Cuyana plans to restock the bag due to recent publicity and renewed interest.
Happy shopping!
Are you still liking the shawl cardigans? Thinking of returning mine.
Hi Abby, I'm sorry to hear that. I like wearing mine for work and I wear it at least once a week.
