For size reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and 108-110 pounds. I’m usually size XS petite in tops and 0/25 petite in pants and jeans. If you’re new to my blog I typically share the link to a short video clip below each image (the same video clips I share in my Instagram stories swipe ups during sales). My Pinterest is also up to date if you prefer a more visual catalog of my reviews. You can also check out my other reviews organized by retailer here.

The Frenchie tee doesn’t come in petites so XXS regular is long on me but otherwise it fits true to size. Click here and here to see what it looks like untucked. Since it’s a body skimming fit it tucks in very clean without too much excess fabric on the sides.

I was so excited to try this cat tee but I prefer the Frenchie tee. I actually wish size XXS regular was in stock but size XS was a relaxed fit on me. Click here to see it tucked and here to see it untucked. It fits true to size for a relaxed fit.

I decided to give this sweater dress another try in my usual size XSP (I reviewed size XXS regular here). The material is thinner so if you’re concerned about that then you may want to wear a slip. Size XSP measures: 34″ chest (measured pit to pit), 35″ waist, 22.5″ sleeve length, 42″ along the bottom hem, 34.5″ total length.

I thought the little embroidered flowers were so cute but my usual size runs small through the rise, waist and hips. The material has no stretch so I’ll have to try a size up. The measurements of size 25/0P are as follows: 26.5″ waist, 31″ hips, 8.5″ rise, 25″ inseam, 10″ ankle opening. The material is 89% cotton, 6% polyester, 3% elastane.

I ordered these jeans in my usual size in my previous post here and I wanted to try these jeans in a size down but they’re a bit snug. Size 24/00P measures: 26.5″ waist, 31″ hips, 9″ rise, 26.5″ inseam, 10″ ankle opening. The material is 89% cotton, 8% lyocell, 3% spandex.

I wore this outfit to work the other day. This chain link top is one of my favorite recent purchases since it’s really soft. I love how it looks with this navy coat.

The pretty lace cuffs on this top caught my eye and it comes in other colors as well. I ordered sizes XXSP and my usual size XSP but size XXSP fit me better since this top runs one size bigger. For an off white top the material is not too sheer.

This taupe colored bag arrived last week but I didn’t get a change to share it. It’s a smaller size but well made. It came with a bow/knotted strap but I didn’t care for it since it looked like it would just come off easily. I also took it off and once I did I could not figure out for the life of me how to tie it back the way it was. It has an inner zipped pocket on one side and an open pocket on the other size with a magnetic button closure as seen here. I got the smaller size but it also comes in a medium size. The dimensions are: 7.75″ width, 4″ depth and 6.5″ height. The crossbody strap has 8 holes so it can be as short as 44.5″ (22.25″ drop length) and as long as 51.5″ (25.75″ drop length).

I was looking forward to this new Kelly green trench and it’s classic in its simple design. I asked Ann Taylor if it would offered in petites but they said that this trench will only be offered in regular missy sizes. I ordered size XXS regular to try but the sleeves are a bit too long on me (and I would have to get them shortened) and it’s slightly oversized. Size XXS regular measures: 15″ shoulders, 12.5″ upper arm circumference, 36″ chest (measured pit to pit), 36″ waist, 40″ hips, 24.5″ sleeve length, 34″ total length. The material is 98% cotton and 2% spandex with a 100% polyester lining. I noticed that the care instructions are machine wash cold or dry clean. Update 1/29: I noticed that this trench is now offered in petite sizes! Check out my review of size XSP here.

I ordered this button down shirt last week when it was an extra 70% off so I got it for $18. My usual size XSP fit me well and the button placement is good because I don’t have my usual button gap issue. I had the white version which I reviewed here but something stained one of the sleeves and I couldn’t get it out. As another online reviewed mentioned I wish these shirts were non-iron. I prefer to wear it with the sleeves cuffed.

I ordered these faux leather leggings and heels after seeing them on @stylexnat who was recently featured on Ann Taylor’s Instagram feed. She styled it with the houndstooth tweed jacket I reviewed here. The leggings run small so I ordered size 2P but I didn’t find them to be flattering on me at all. They’re faux leather in the front and a thick ponte material in the back. Size 2P measures: 26.5″ waist, 9″ rise, 31″ hips,24.75″ inseam, 9″ ankle opening.
Click here to see a closeup of the Loretta pumps which run true to size. I scored them for $26.96 on final sale.

I am glad I did not order more colors of these heels since these do run a bit snug/narrow in my usual size 7 (while size 7.5 was too loose as reviewed here). The pair I received seemed like they may be a returned pair as seen here. The cutout and bow on the side here is a nice detail. I’m a bit unsure how much I’ll reach for this brown pair but I haven’t had a chance to try them with different outfits.

I stopped by the mall to do some returns tonight and I tried on a few items. Click here to view the side view of this top.

I thought this boucle top was really cute and size XS regular was actually a petite friendly length. The fabric they used in the split back portion is 100% polyester. My initial reaction was to buy it in store but I decided to think it over since there are a lot of new arrivals and I really need to narrow down my favorites.

This sweater was a try-on request. It is a thicker sweater so I grabbed size S to try on since I prefer a more relaxed fit. It fits true to size.

This parka is well made and size XXSP fits like my usual size XSP. The faux fur lining makes the parka very cozy but I wish they chose a more neutral color for the lining other than dark blue. Personally I felt that the thick faux fur lining added extra bulk at the waist and hips and since I don’t have any waist definition (I have a straight figure with minimal curves) so I didn’t love the parka on me.

I saw this scalloped sweater featured on Sarah @sarahstyled and I wanted to try it on for sizing. Pictured is the natural color but the white color was practically gone in my local store. Size XS was a relaxed fit on me and a petite friendly length.

Lastly, I stopped by Ann Taylor Factory to return one of the lace bell cuff tops that I had ordered in two sizes. I picked up this striped tee since I liked the neckline and the fact that it wasn’t tissue thin. I sized up to MP for a relaxed fit but I also couldn’t find it in size SP to compare. The tee was $12.99 online and when I asked they matched the online price when I bought it in store (the in store price was $14.99). The tee also comes in a lot of other solid colors here and a geo chain link print here. Update: I ended up exchanging size MP for SP for a relaxed fit.
I wanted to pair the tee with this button trim pocket skirt but my size was sold out and I tried on size 00P which was too snug.
I also spotted this pretty soft trench in a pretty marigold color at checkout but it doesn’t come in petites. The sales associate was also petite and she said the length hit mid calf on her.

I thought this striped tee looked really cute but size XS regular is too oversized on me. The material is soft. I also ordered it in the navy and white stripes as well but I haven’t received that color yet.

Continuing my search for white jeans I ordered this button fly pair to try in two sizes. Size 2 petite arrived first but based on how it fits me I believe size 0 regular may not fit me but I’ll find out once it arrives. Size 2 petite measures: 28″ waist, 9″ rise, 32.5″ hips, 24″ inseam, 8.5″ ankle opening. The fabric feels stiffer and it’s 93% cotton, 6% elasterell-p and 1% spandex/elastane. The pockets on the back sit very low so it’s not flattering. The front pockets are lined with a nude fabric so they don’t show through.

I thought the stripes were really cute but the tie front detail wasn’t very flattering on me. You can see the side view of the shirt here. This version with the ties on the sleeves looks like another cute option and it also comes in a polka dot print too.

I spotted size XSP in store since someone returned it so I tried on the jacket out of curiosity. I have never owned a black denim jacket before so I passed since I wasn’t sure how much use I’d get out of it. Size XSP fit true to size and I liked the cropped length.

These dome shaped bags look cute especially in the powder pink color. This half moon bag looks like another good affordable option.
Thanks for stopping by!
