I tried on size 0P above in the eyelet top but I had also ordered this top in size 00 regular for extra length. Size 0P measured 30″ at the start of the peplum flounce. I received size 00 regular in the mail and I prefer the extra length. The belt sash is a bit awkward since it’s thicker and short so it doesn’t look quite right tied as a bow.
These straight crop jeans had a 28.5″ waist in size 25/0P and they have a nice stretch to them which makes them more comfortable. They also come in white which is very popular so they’re currently sold out online. I am prefer skinny jeans which are more elongating so I’m still undecided on this style for me.
This floral top is really pretty and my usual size XSP fit me well. The length is longer and the neckline is more low-cut so I used fashion tape to make it more modest as shown below. If you prefer short sleeves then this floral mixed media popover top may be a better option.
Here is what the top and the skirt look like together. It can be hard to tell here but the top is a few shades darker than the skirt as seen in this clip.
I liked the idea of this fringe tweed jacket and my usual size 0P fit me well although it fits slightly narrow at the shoulders. Note that it’s a thicker material so it may be too heavy for the summer but it’s good for chilly air conditioned offices. One of the online reviews mentioned that this jacket sheds so you may want to shake out the jacket in your tub to get all the loose threads out.
I like this ikat dot blouse and size XXSP fits like my usual size XSP. I had ordered it but tried it on in store since I was impatient to see how it would fit. Size XXSP measures: 35″ chest, 38″ along the bottom hem before the start of the shirttail hem and 24.5″ total length.
This new linen moto jacket runs narrow through the shoulders but since I’m small chested I know that my usual size 0P would be too big in the collar. Unlike their other moto jackets this one doesn’t have any zipper details at the sleeves. I wish the jacket was a more cropped fit so it would look more flattering with dresses. Here is the jacket paired with this mixed eyelet flare dress (review here) that I wore to work and you can see the proportions don’t work.
Here is the ikat top with the hem knotted.
I like this chambray blazer and I took size 00P which fits like my usual size 0P. Size 00P measures: 13″ shoulders, 31″ chest, 30″ waist, 11.5″ upper arm circumference, 22.75″ sleeve length, 25.25″ total length.
This windowpane dress runs small. I thought size 2P was too snug and I took size 4P. Note that I’m currently 4-5 pounds more than my usual weight. The material is stretchy which makes the dress very comfortable. Size 4P measures: 31″ chest, 29″ waist, 34″ hips.
This dress was very snug on me in my usual size 0P and the material has no stretch. I couldn’t find size 2P to try on in store for comparison. I need to cut back on bubble tea and I didn’t get one when my husband did today. My metabolism isn’t what it used to be now that I’m in my mid thirties so my boba belly has been hard to get rid of.
I tried on this dress in a size up but I didn’t love the way the dress fits across the bust which runs more narrow. I’m a 32A or 34AA in petire bras. For reference, size 2P has a 29″ waist.
The scalloped square neckline is very flattering and the material has a nice stretch to it similar to the windowpane dress. I found this in the sale section but I couldn’t find size 2P to try on for comparison and size 4P was too loose all over unlike the windowpane dress which runs small. (And yes there’s my measuring tape sitting on the fitting room bench.)
I tried on this pretty pleated dress in size 2P since sizes were selling out fast in store. I need my usual size 0P since size 2P was too loose at the chest. The dress is fully lined and not see through.
I love silver tone jewelry and I thought these drop earrings were very dainty and just the right size.
Enjoy the rest of your long weekend!
