FITTING ROOM REVIEWS
I stopped in store last weekend and found a few new items to try on. For size reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and 110 pounds. I’m usually size XS petite in tops and 0/25 petite in pants and jeans. If you’re new to my blog I typically share the link to a short video clip below each image (the same video clips I share in my Instagram stories swipe ups during sales). My Pinterest is also update to date if you prefer a more visual catalog of my reviews. You can also check out my other reviews organized by retailer here.

This button down dress also comes in a pretty striped version (review here) and a white version. My usual size 0P (pictured above) was very short in the chambray version so I tried on size 0 regular (pictured below) which fit me well. I prefer the chambray dress I already have with the flutter sleeves (featured here) so I passed on this dress.
Click here and here and here for a closeup of the bag. This round straw bag is really cute but the straw material is soft so it’s not structured. It’s a good size for your essentials and I wish it came in other colors as well. If you wear a lot of blue then this would be a fun seasonal bag to coordinate with your outfits.
This swing dress is really sweet but the length is very short in my usual size XS petite. I would prefer the regular missy length but I’m afraid the arm holes would be too generous.

I love the floral print on this top and it came home with me. My usual size XSP fits a flowy fit. The material is thinner so it’s a nice breezy summer top. The petal sleeve tops come in many colors and prints and if you like this floral print you may also like this wrap top or this flutter tee.
How adorable is this Instagram wall for spring at Natick Mall? If your a Boston local it’s located in front of the Body Shop. Click on the above image to view the boomerang.
Click here and here to view a video clips for a close up of these new summer bags. If you are local to Boston the LOFT stores at Natick Mall and Prudential Center had the new straw bags in store in case you wanted to check them out in person. I like the houndstooth one but it’s a but bigger than what I’m looking for.
I also spotted this gorgeous navy tote at Free People. It’s $58 and I’m trying hard to resist but I don’t have a navy straw tote in my collection. For now it is on my wish list. I need to declutter my bag collection before I add to it.
I also stopped by Ann Taylor and tried on these pretty pieces.
This flutter sleeve top is so cute and I grabbed my usual size 0P to try. The arm holes were a bit more generous than I prefer and I tried on size 00P for comparison (see size 00P on me here). The arm holes fit me better in the size down but I prefer the way the floral flutter sleeves draped on my shoulders in my usual size 0P.
The floral print against navy is really pretty and the skirt is fully lined. My usual size fits slightly snug since my natural waist is currently 29″. Size 0P has a 27″ waistband and it’s 21.5″ total length. Update 5/24: I just got the matching floral essential sleeveless shirt today in my usual size XSP so that I can match it with the skirt.
I don’t know why I didn’t try on this navy eyelet dress sooner but my usual size 0P fit me well. I like the modest v-neck which also has a clasp if you want to wear it closed. This dress does run narrow through the shoulders and chest so you may want to size up for comfort.
I saw this beautiful white top on display in store and I ordered it online. I received it in the mail last night so I’ll try to update this post with my try on soon in good lighting. I took my usual size 0P. It is fully lined and not see through as seen here.
Update 5/10: Here is the white top on me as promised. I love the comfortable relaxed fit of this top and the clean lines.
This beautiful red seamed dress is on my wishlist.
I thought this red outfit was a dress until I inspected it up close and realized that it was a separate top and pencil skirt. I love the pretty tie waist detail on the skirt.
This is another cute red spring outfit inspiration that caught my eye in store. I really want the sweater jacket in red but I’m not sure I would reach for it enough.
Thanks for stopping by!
