Happy Wednesday! Get 50% off full-price styles and save an extra 60% off sale styles at LOFT. Use code SUMMER4EVER. Sale ends 7/28 at 11:59PM ET. I popped into my local store quickly last night to check out the new arrivals since my order from 7/20 still hasn’t shipped and I likely won’t receive it until I’m back from vacation.
For size reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and I’m currently 111 pounds. I’m usually size XS petite in tops and 0/25 petite in pants and jeans. If you’re new to my blog I typically share the link to a short video clip below each image (the same video clips I share in my Instagram stories swipe ups during sales). My Pinterest is also up to date if you prefer a more visual catalog of my reviews. You can also check out my other reviews organized by retailer here.
LOFT Floral Ruffle Peplum Shell, size XSP | Ann Taylor Curvy Frayed Hem Performance Stretch Skinny Jeans in ecru, size 00P (review here) | Ann Taylor Kennedy Cork Heeled Sandals (true to size, review here) | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on
This peplum top is really pretty in person and the darker floral print should transition well into the fall. My usual size XSP fit me well but I ordered size XXS regular to try just in case I prefer the slightly longer length. I noticed this print is also available as a skirt.
LOFT Garden Button Flutter Shell, size XSP | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
The button flutter shell is a great worn alone or as a layering piece and it’s offered in many colors and prints. This new garden floral print with the pink, purple and blue hues is really pretty and it’s available as a dress, skirt and pants too. I took this top in my usual size XSP. You can see both the top and skirt paired together here by @loveloft_az which looks like a dress.
LOFT Leopard Print Piped Mixed Media Shell, size XS regular | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
I couldn’t find this top in petites at my local store yet so I tried on size XS regular. It fits true to size. The back is 100% rayon so if you notice any loss of length from laundering I would recommend steaming out the material in the back. Steaming helps to relax the fibers since rayon tends to shrink when it gets wet.
LOFT Leopard Print Pleated Cuff Dress, size XSP | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on
This dress fits true to size but the petite length is very short so I’m glad I ordered it in XXS regular. My order from July 20th has yet to ship and my only concern is whether or not the split neck will be too low cut in the regular missy size.
LOFT Striped Eyelet Shift Dress, size 00P | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on
I tried on this shift dress in a size down and it fit me well except the hip area pulls when I try to sit down. If you have smaller hips then you may want to size down but if you’re curvy then you may want to try your usual size or size up. Size 00P was too short for my preference but I love this past season repeat (2018 review of size 0 regular here) in the new sheer violet color.
LOFT Tie Front Flare Cami, size XSP | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
This top runs smaller at the chest so if you have a larger bust then you may want to size up for more coverage. It has adjustable straps and the peplum flounce is sheer since it is unlined.
All of the items I ordered from the NSale on Friday shipped over the weekend and I received the following 3 items the other day. I updated the NSale page (found under the ‘SHOP’ tab) first for those that are following and shopping the sale. Hopefully the remainder of my order will arrive by Friday so that I can review it before we go on vacation.
Gibson Cozy Twist Front Pullover, size XXS petite | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
This top runs one size bigger since size XXS petite fits like my usual size XS petite. The material is soft and the twist isn’t too short with the high waisted jeans. The sleeve are not too snug and the material has a comfortable stretch to it. I also ordered the top in the black color but it’s not coming in the mail for another two days. The measurements of size XXS petite are as follows: 14″ shoulders, 36″ chest, 16.5″ sleeve length, 23″ back length, 18.5″ length near the twist detail.
KUT from the Kloth Donna High Waist Skinny Jeans in the Transformative wash, size 0 petite – Click here and here to view the clips from my try on. The transformative wash is a nice medium wash with minimal whiskering and no distressing similar to these old favorite LOFT jeans although the ankle opening isn’t as narrow. I ordered my usual size and they run true to size. They look good when standing but there’s too much material at the crotch when I sit down if you view the first video clip I linked. The jeans have a lot of stretch and the short inseam hits above my ankles. The material is 91% cotton, 7% polyester and 2% elastane. The measurements of size 0 petite are as follows: 9.5″ rise, 27″ waist, 32″ hips, 24.5″ inseam, 8.5″ ankle opening.
BP. Heath Bootie in cognac | Round Woven Ottoman (square version here) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
I ordered these booties in a 1/2 size up per the other online reviews and size 7.5 fits like my usual size 7. In person the cognac color has an orangey hue to it which I personally didn’t love. The top of the shoe ripples when you move around so the booties don’t look as sleek as I would prefer especially since the ankle opening is looser on me (I have 7.75″ ankles). The measurements checked against size 7.5 are as follows: 4″ shaft, 3.75″ stacked heel and 9.5″ ankle opening. They do appear to be well made with no sighs of glue showing for the pair I received and they have a non-slip rubber sole with good traction.

I recently shared a new IGTV video of how I assembled these stackable plastic shoe storage boxes (previously reviewed here). After I posted the video online I figured out how to speed up videos so I apologize for the longer length this time around. I linked to the exact shoe boxes I have below as well as other options that do not involve any assembly.
