LOFT Drawstring Utility Jacket

I love this striped sweater but I only got to wear it twice. I washed it the last time and there was a hole near right near where the button fly is. I don’t even remember trying to do a front tuck with it which is usually how I end up with a little hole there. I’m currently contemplating if I should bother to get a replacement. Meanwhile Ralphie is almost 3 months old and he loves to rip up his training pad to get our attention. I hope you have a great week ahead!

Sadly, as much as I adore LOFT clothing, their quality really only falls in the “good” category. Decent, and with care it may last you a few years, but sometimes the way the materials shrink or don’t hold up really doesn’t justify their asking price at all. Honestly, with the amount of sales they hold, it almost makes me wonder if they know their prices are so inflated lol. If they didn’t have as many sales as they do, I probably wouldn’t shop there nearly as much as I do. I’ve had similar issues with pieces from them after only wearing once or twice (and I never put anything in the dryer, everything gets washed on cold/delicate cycles, etc), and it’s very frustrating. Perhaps you can fix it with a DIY felting kit?

Hi Leesooim! That is so true. I try to be careful about what I keep even though there are a lot of cute things. I also don’t put anything in the dryer. I wash on cold, air puff to get out wrinkles and line dry the rest of the way. That striped t-shirt I mentioned that got ruined was actually from Everlane. I think it has something to do with the way I do a half tuck thin tees into my jeans as tees from Madewell and other places have suffered the same fate in that problem area for me.
