I attended a work conference in Las Vegas for half the week and I’m glad to be back at home. I traveled with a colleague and the craziest thing we did during our free time was to go on the Zoomline option for the Slotzilla zip line at Fremont Street in Downtown Vegas. The online reviews fail to tell you that you’ll end up waiting in line for 2 hours before your scheduled time (this was on a Thursday night). I didn’t fork over more money for a blurry proof but the adrenaline rush was a refreshing.

This outfit is another way I styled the moto jacket for the conference:

REVIEWS

For size reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and currently 108 pounds. I’m usually size XS petite in tops and 0/25 petite in pants and jeans. I typically share the link to a short video clip below each image (the same video clips that I share in my Instagram stories swipe ups). My Pinterest is also up to date if you prefer a more visual catalog of my reviews. You can also check out my other reviews organized by retailer here.

I thought this white top was so cute but the outer layer is 100% rayon while the inside layer/lining is 100% polyester. I kept it for now and I hope that it will wash well. Update 10/31: I washed it on cold and air dried it and I’m pleased to report that I did not notice any shrinking of the outer layer of the top which is rayon.

LOFT Spotted Tie Neck Ruffle Hem Blouse, size XSPLOFT Spotted Tie Neck Ruffle Hem Blouse, size XSP (similar here) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on

This polka dot blouse is adorable and size XXS regular fit me well. I didn’t love it on me but the burgundy color is perfect for fall.

LOFT Boucle Cowl Neck Tunic Top, size XSPLOFT Boucle Cowl Neck Tunic Top, size XSP | Click here, here and here to view the clips from my try-on

I have a similar sweater from last year and I got this year’s version in my usual size XSP. I like the longer tunic length and I got the wild vine color. If you don’t like the cowl neck then you may want to check out the mock neck version here.

LOFT Floral Tie Neck Flare Dress, size 00 regularLOFT Floral Tie Neck Flare Dress, size 00 regular | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on

I thought the print for this dress was really pretty but the length of size 00 regular is too short for my preference. I don’t understand why they make a lot of the dresses so short and I hope they consider the feedback I saw when they posted this dress on their Instagram feed. If you like this print it’s also available as a half sleeve blouse and long sleeve tee.

LOFT Tie Cuff Sweater, size XS regularLOFT Tie Cuff Sweater, size XS regular | Click here to view the clip from my try-on

This tie cuff sweater is a petite friendly length and I ordered size XS regular to try. I didn’t love the large holes on the sleeves from the tie cuff details so I ended up returning it.

LOFT Mock Neck Button Back Top, size XSPLOFT Mock Neck Button Back Top, size XSP | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on

I ordered this mock neck top to try and I was immediately concerned when I took it out of the package. The material looked very sheer but once you put it on it’s not as sheer. My usual size XSP fit me well but the mock neck and shoulders were a little too snug for comfort. This top has has sweatshirt cuffs which some may not like and button details down the back as seen here.

Ann Taylor Funnel Neck Coat, size XXSPAnn Taylor Funnel Neck Coat, size XXSP | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on

I really wanted this jacket to work out but the large gold snap buttons stood out too much for my preference. Size XXSP fits like a close fitting size XS petite.

Ann Taylor Smocked Blouse, size XXS regularAnn Taylor Smocked Blouse, size XXS regular | Click here to view the clip from my try-on

I loved the look of this new top when I spotted it online but in person this smocked blouse wasn’t anything special on me. My usual size XXS regular fit me well.

Ann Taylor Mixed Stitch Cable Sweater, size XXS regularAnn Taylor Mixed Stitch Cable Sweater, size XXS regular (review of sizes XS regular and S petite here) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on

I thought this cable sweater was really pretty in person and since I couldn’t decide on which color I ordered both colors to try. My usual size XXS fits snug through the waist and hips and for some reason I noticed that the camel color fits smaller than the winter white color. If you like this sweater it’s also available in a v-neck version in black.

Ann Taylor Cheetah Print Open Cardigan, size XSPAnn Taylor Cheetah Print Open Cardigan, size XSP | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on

I saw this cardigan in store and I had to order it in my usual size in petites to try. It’s a soft, well made cardigan in an on trend cheetah print but I wasn’t sure how much I would reach for it. It’s a thicker material so it would be uncomfortable to layer under a jacket. If you live in a milder climate this cardigan could work as a light jacket.

Ann Taylor Cheetah Print Pleated Skirt Dress, size 00PAnn Taylor Cheetah Print Pleated Skirt Dress, size 00P | Ann Taylor Brielle Suede Block Heel Slingback Pumps (review here) | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on

I liked this new pleated dress when I saw it online but when I tried it on I didn’t love the style on me. Dresses with the front keyhole self ties combined with the belted sash at the waist are never the most flattering style on me. I sized down and the sleeves were a bit shorter than I preferred otherwise size 00P fits like my usual size 0P.

I received a request to try on this jacket and I ordered two sizes to try but neither size was a comfortable fit. I do not like the high funnel neck and the jacket fits very narrow through the shoulders and chest for an awkward fit unless you size up. I didn’t like how the material looked in person. The sleeves of size 00 regular fit me well while size 0 petite fit similar to size 00 but with a shorter sleeve length.

I purchased these taupe booties in store and I wore them once only to realize that the right boot had something that was rubbing against my ankles. If you get this bootie I recommend walking around at home first to make sure the inside doesn’t have any seams that rub against your skin. My left foot/shoe had no issues so these booties are comfortable as long as you get a pair with no defects. Update 10/29: I was able to return the pair I got at my local Target without any questions asked even though I wore them out.

Lastly, I tried on these Chelsea rain boots and they only come in whole sizes. I’m usually size 7 but size 6 wide fits me well. They’re available in four colors but I  wish they were offered in more colors. I did notice that they’re also available in a shiny patent version here.

Thanks for stopping by!

Did you go to Learning Solutions? My husband attended/presented last year and I tagged along to explore Vegas. Anyway, I just discovered your blog. I also just started Infinite Style and Infinitely Loft; you’re blog is helping me figure out new and interesting outfit combos. Thanks!

Hi Carolyn! Yes I attended DevLearn! Thanks for discovering my blog and taking the time to leave a comment! 🙂 I hope you both enjoyed the Vegas shows and night life at the end of each day! I also hope you enjoy both subscription services. There’s a helpful Facebook group for Infinitely LOFT if you search for it and it’s nice to see the clothing on regular people/non-bloggers.

As always, the effort you put into these reviews is appreciated! Do you have an opinion on the Loft shawl collar sweaters this year? They have been getting the same bad reviews as the ones last year (I only wore one of those once so I don’t know how they will hold up, either). I am looking at J. Crew for similar options…
