J.Crew Chateau Parka, size 00 regular | Ann Taylor Mixed Stitch Cable Sweater, size SP (review here and here) | My exact jeans are old favorites | Gola for J.Crew Bullet Sneakers With Cheetah Detail (review here) | Celine Micro Belt Bag (buy pre-owned here, note that I shortened the strap to 36″)
Happy Wednesday! Before I dive into this week’s reviews I updated my previous post since I received size 0 regular in the J.Crew New Lady Day Coat. Last week I reviewed size 2 petite but after trying sizes 0 regular and 2 petite I will give size 4 petite a try before I give up. The Lady Day coat is a more tailored and I want to be satisfied with the fit. I ordered a few items from Abercrombie since I’ve received a few requests for this retailer which I will try to review in a separate post.
Ann Taylor has a current sale but the better promo code is THANKS1 for 50% off full-price styles (excludes suiting, cashmere and third-party merchandise). I placed a huge order of items to try yesterday since this discount overlapped with the ALL Rewards Cardmember First Tuesday discount for an extra 15% off. The discount wasn’t working online yesterday but I was able to call Customer Service so that they could apply the Cardmember discount to my order.
J.Crew Factory has a sale for up to 60% off styles for all plus get an extra 20% off items in the Party shop and save an extra 40% off clearance styles. Use code SOFANCY. I ordered the Vail parka in the new golden yellow color to try and this pretty statement necklace. Refer to all of my J.Crew Factory reviews here.
TRY-ONS & REVIEWS
For size reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and currently 109 pounds. I’m usually size XS petite in tops and 0/25 petite in pants and jeans. I typically share the link to a short video clip below each image (the same video clips that I share in my Instagram stories swipe ups). My Pinterest is also up to date if you prefer a more visual catalog of my reviews. You can also check out my other reviews organized by retailer here.
I’m late to reviewing this grey knit moto jacket but I found this in the petite section the last time I stopped in store. Size XXSP was too snug on me so I would need it in my usual size XSP.
This puff sleeve sweater is really pretty and flattering but it’s too sheer for my preference since I can see the outline of my bra and the waistband of my jeans. I do not want to wear a cami underneath so it’s a hard pass for me. Size XS regular was a decent length on me but it is also available in petite sizing.
This chenille sweater is so soft and I was tempted to get it until I read all the negative online reviews about how it did not wash well. Do you double check online reviews before you buy something even if you’re in store? The sweater is a cropped length even though I’m tried on one size up from my usual.
This puff sleeve top runs one size bigger since size XXSP fits like a relaxed fit of my usual size XSP.
I tried on this coat out of curiosity but the funnel neck is too high and thick for my preference. The regular missy size is actually a better length and drape on me since I have slightly longer arms. Personally I felt like I was wearing a bath mat when I put on this coat so my search continues for the perfect petite friendly teddy coat.
This shirt maxi shirt dress is surprisingly flattering but the length is longer and hits at my ankles. I’m 5’2.5″ so the length just barely works for me. Note that the material is 100% rayon. Size 00P fit me well but note that I usually wear size 0P at LOFT. If you have curves you may need to size up so that the buttons do not pull and pucker.
This plaid top is a really cute option and my local store had plenty of sizes in petites. The exact style is also available in black and white stripes here. If you love this plaid pattern I noticed that this plaid coatigan was very popular in store since I couldn’t find my size to try (note that XXSP looked like it ran really small). I also saw this plaid pleated v-neck top but I didn’t try it on.
I saw this scarf at LOFT Outlet and it’s a nice scarf without being too bulky. I also saw this cozy robe which looked promising and these polar bear slippers are really cute and the soles appear to be well made.
I’m eyeing these adorable slippers as gift ideas:
BACK IN STOCK
These popular fleece lined tights are back! Last year I wanted to try them but they sold out so I hope I can snag them this year. I’m waiting for a better sale or stackable code for the latest LOFT sale since my mom asked for a few things too. Shopping for the both of us can quickly add up if I’m not careful.
This popular bow coat is back in black this year!
This scallop hem sweater is also back this season but only in one color. I bought it in white last year but I somehow got color transfer on it and the stain never came out.
Thanks for stopping by!
