For size reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and I’m usually size XS petite in tops and 0/25 petite in pants and jeans. If you’re new to my blog I typically share the link to a short video clip below each image. My Pinterest is also up to date if you prefer a more visual catalog of my reviews. Refer to my other reviews organized by retailer here.
I was able to reorder this wool coat in size XSP to secure the better sale price last week. It’s a soft, well-made coat and it’s mid weight which still requires layering if you live in a colder climate. My usual size XSP runs big with lots of room through the waist and hips and the sleeves are baggy although the shoulders fit me well. I’m holding onto this size in the hopes that size XXSP will pop back in stock so that I can exchange it for a better fit. With the current oversized fit it looks best with a thin top underneath. When I tried to wear a thicker sweater underneath the extra width at the hips and waist made me look wider especially with the coat buttoned. The measurements of size XSP are as follows: 14″ shoulders, 22″ sleeve length, 13″ upper arm circumference, 10.5″ wrists, 36″ chest, 34″ waist, 38″ hips, 33″ total length.

LOFT Floral Ruffle Tie Neck Blouse, size XSP | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
I thought this floral print was really pretty and it doesn’t disappoint in person. My usual size XSP is a flattering flowy fit and I like the modest v-neck.
LOFT Puff Sleeve V-Neck Top, size XXS regular | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on
I love a good light blue top and this top is thicker so it has a nice drape to it. I took a chance and ordered the regular missy size since the bright skyway blue color is not offered in petites. The 24″ total length for size XXS regular isn’t too long for this style even though I typically prefer 23″ length tops. The 21″ sleeves are 3/4 sleeves on me. The v-neck is also modest even though I went with the regular missy size.
LOFT Cowl Neck Waffle Top, size XXS regular | Hunter Original Refined Rain Boot (true to size, exact color is ‘tawny’ but it’s a past season color) | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on
Size XXS regular measures 27″ total length for this waffle top. It’s longer than I prefer but the shirttail hem works with leggings.
LOFT Cropped Turtleneck Cable Sweater, size XS regular | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
I saw this sweater in store but I couldn’t find it hanging or on the tables or maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough and I ended up ordering it online. It also comes in a beautiful red color as seen below. The 20.5″ cropped length makes it perfect to wear with skirts too. It contains wool but it doesn’t feel too itchy for my preference.

Banana Republic Factory Tulle Flock Dot Midi Skirt
If you’re looking for a pretty tulle skirt I noticed that my local Banana Republic Factory store had a ton of these on the racks. They’re sold out in everything but size XXL online but the in store inventory looks to be plentiful. I recommend calling your local store if you’re looking for this skirt.
LOFT Reversible Faux Fur Shearling Vest, size XS regular | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on
This faux fur shearling vest is actually a petite friendly length and fit in the regular missy size. The arm holes of size XS regular didn’t lay quite right on me as seen in this clip but I could be nitpicking. I tried wearing it on the faux fur side since it’s reversible but I prefer the first/default way to wear the vest.
Banana Republic Factory Washable Forever Stripe Scallop Crew-Neck Sweater, size SP | Click here to view a clip from my try-on
I took this sweater in a size up based on the online reviews. I like the scallop detail at the neckline and it also comes in quite a few other colors as shown below. The grey and black color stripes is my favorite out of the three colors I ordered since it fit the best. The solid color seemed to run a little bigger than the striped version but the stripes make the sweater look more flattering in my opinion. The sweater washed well on cold and air dried and it fits similar to before I washed it but the sleeves have a more snug fit after laundering which is acceptable for me since the sleeves were very loose before.

This swiss dot top is is see through despite being lightly lined. My usual size XSP is a boxy fit that I didn’t care for.
Cole Haan Down Puffer Coat, size SP (now $75, available at other retailers linked here) | c/0 Ann Taylor Lesley Suede Block Heel Booties (true to size, old from last year, similar here and here) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
The bottom snap button on the Sam Edelman black puffer coat I reviewed here broke off after only a few wears so I had to send it back. I found this coat instead and I like the waist definition. There’s elastic inside at the wrists so the air doesn’t go up your arms. Around 30 degrees Fahrenheit I feel warm with a light top but around 20 degrees I would recommend a thicker sweater or layering. The top of the hood could be a little bigger so rain and show doesn’t get on your face but perhaps I have a bigger head. This coat runs true to size (I had also ordered size XSP too but my husband though it looked too snug) but I decided to go up one size so that I could layer comfortably underneath anyway.
Ann Taylor Factory Lightweight Puffer Jacket, size XXS regular | LOFT Outlet Heart Bobble Sweater, size S regular (review here) | c/0 Ann Taylor Lesley Suede Block Heel Booties (true to size, old from last year, similar here and here) | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on
I couldn’t resist the good deal on this lightweight puffer jacket since I got it for $42.83 after discounts. Size XXS regular is 24″ total length with 24″ sleeves. It’s a well made, minimalist, light jacket that’s good for fall and early winter or warmer winter days. Click here to see another clip of when I wore it for our nightly bubble tea run.
Ann Taylor Factory Collarless Topper, size XXS regular | LOFT Dotted V-Neck Flutter Shell, size XXS regular (review here) | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
I was curious about this topper but it’s such a generous fit that it went back to the store right away. It’s at least two sizes too big. The material also seems prone to pilling and it’s the kind of pills you can easily pluck off the material as little balls.
Ann Taylor Factory Knit Collar Poncho, one size | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
I really should be wary of one size fits all ponchos by now but the color and style looked like a nice online so I ordered it to try. There’s too much bunching at the sides on me so it’s not flattering at all.
I just got this $7.99 adorable fleece baby blanket for Ralphie since he outgrew the blankets I bought when we first got him (you can see the colors of the blanket better here). You can check out more of his items here or here on my Amazon shop page which has comments if you click on the little notes icon (on the top right of each item if available). He was supposed to get neutered on Friday since he recently turned 6 months old but he was saved by his baby teeth. They recommended that we check if all his baby teeth fall out before otherwise they would pull them at the same time as the procedure which sounds awful. He still has a double set of molars on both sides of his bottom set of teeth. We were nervous about the procedure anyway so we’re a bit relieved to delay it for another month.
My two latest thredUP clean out bags have been processed and you can shop all of the items online (use code MISSU35 for 35% off your first order). We’re renovating (not our current place which we plan to rent out) and moving in the near future so I had to empty out a lot of pieces from my closet since we’ll have less closet space. I regret sending in shoes because they didn’t accept any of them including a few pairs that were new so be forewarned if you’re thinking of sending in footwear. I still have a lot to declutter of but it’s a lot of work to list items and ship through Poshmark. I use thredUp when I need to pare down my closet quickly and my husband also helped to sell a few things via Facebook Marketplace. Our second bedroom is almost empty of furniture except for the closet and a desk I use for working from home.
Thanks for stopping by!
