I’m excited to partner with Ann Taylor to share this business casual outfit while full-price styles are 40% off with the code WINTERCHILL. You can also save an extra 70% off 3 or more sale items for their big winter sale!
I love the Hutton style blazer since they have a nice stretch to them and the tailored fit of the olive version this season is very flattering. A good blazer always pulls together the most basic outfits. Aside from the olive color the Hutton blazer is currently available in three other colors as follows:
This black and white heart print top is from the Valentine’s Collection and the puff sleeve detail on the shoulders makes it more unique than a simple tee. It’s also available in red and white if you prefer a bolder pop of color. I like the subtle mini heart print. I also like this heart tiered flare dress and this heart tiered flounce skirt from the Valentine’s collection.
I prefer dark denim to dress pants for business casual looks and I like the three button detail on these sculpting pockets high rise skinny jeans.
These black suede pumps make your feet look very dainty with the delicate heel and they are also available in grey.

TRY-ONS
For size reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and I’m usually size XS petite in tops and 0/25 petite in bottoms. Note that I share a link to a short video clip below each photo so that you can see the movement of the pieces.

I finished shooting the above look in the city and I popped into the fitting room to take a selfie with and without the blazer on. Hopefully the above photo and this clip helps you see the pretty puff sleeve detail better.

I have this mock neck sweater in the off white and camel colors from earlier this winter and I was happy to see this pretty pink color come out. This sweater has a relaxed fit so I sized down for a better fit.
Note that the black ponte leggings I’m wearing in the above photo is on promotion for $20! They’re a bit thicker and the petite inseam is on point in my usual size XS petite.

I like the two functional front pockets with the gold button detail on this dark grey top. Note that the material is not soft but the material has a nice stretch to it. My usual size XS petite is a relaxed fit.
Ann Taylor Plaid Chesterfield Coat, size XSP | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
This plaid statement coat fits true to size and it has a nice fit and drape to it. It’s a good coat for the spring transition or as a fall layering coat.

The mandarin collar and black trim along the sleeves, wrist and collar elevate this winter white blouse. The 100% polyester material isn’t too sheer so you could get by with just a skin tone bra underneath. My usual size XS petite fit me well.
Ann Taylor Mixed Stripe Tie Neck Flare Cuff Blouse, size XXS regular | Click here and here to view the clips from my try-on
I ordered this black and white stripe blouse to try since the mixed stripe print is unique and eye catching. I first tried on size XS petite in store and I noticed the overall length was very short (due to the shirttail hem) so then I ordered size XXS regular for extra length. The regular missy size is a better length but the upper arms of the sleeves are very loose which isn’t something I had noticed with the petite size. The v-neck neckline is lower on me in the regular missy size but you can tie the ribbon together if your prefer a more modest look. Otherwise you can wear a layering camisole for extra coverage.
Ann Taylor Floral Pleated V-Neck Blouse, size XSP | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
This olive and white floral print blouse is beautiful and would transition well into the spring with white jeans. I liked the fit and drape of size XS petite but since I have longer arms the placement of the button hit in an uncomfortable spot on my forearm whenever I moved my arms. I tried ordering size XXS regular for extra length and it resolved the issue with the buttons on the sleeves but the petite fit and drape was more flattering so I was sad that this blouse didn’t work out for me in either of my two usual sizes at Ann Taylor.
c/o Ann Taylor Side Button Sweater, size XXS regular | Click here to view the clip from my try-on
The two button detail on the sides of this sweater give it a flattering drape and it’s also available in navy. My usual size XXS regular fit me well for a relaxed fit. I first ordered size XS regular since the online description mentioned that it was a tailored fit but it was a more oversized fit.
Thank you Ann Taylor for sponsoring this post!
Hi Jess, I ordered the jacket, jeans and heart shirt to try. I didn’t order the curvy fit since I’m more straight up and down but I’m looking forward to trying the outfit for the office. It’s helpful you have such similar measurements to me that I can sort of see what the outfits will look like on me! Thanks.

Thank you, Debbie! I hope you like the outfit when you receive it! Please keep me posted. 🙂
I got the red heart print top in the mail yesterday in XSP and found it to be pretty snug – not at all the “relaxed fit” I was expecting from the description. Unfortunately it sold out immediately in red so I can’t exchange for SP.
If ever you decide to let go of your green Loft poncho, please let me know – I will buy it from you! I’m still kicking myself for not grabbing it back when it was available.

Hi Cat! Thanks for sharing how that top fit you. I usually wear size XSP but my weight fluctuates between 107-114 pounds. Currently I’m 107 so the XSP size is a relaxed fit on me but it definitely would be more snug if I was 114. I hope SP will pop back in stock for you! It’s such a cute tee and I was tempted to order it in the red and white version too.
Do you mean the hunter green poncho? Please let me know via DM or email! I have so many clothes I’m not even wearing as a result of our recent move and I need to go through all my clothes.
Yes! Will message you 🙂
Very beautiful! Love your casual business looks. You have great choice and taste. Thanks for nice ideas.
