Happy Friday eve! Staying at home finally made me pick out some artwork for our living room. I purchased this set of 3 abstract prints from Target by the artist Kelly Ventura. I noticed that the middle print called ‘Merge’ is still available on her website here. I had concerns about quality of the frame after checking the online reviews but the set I received was in great condition except for a small gap on the bottom corner of one of the prints as seen in this video. The defect is hidden by the lip on the ledge I rested it on so I haven’t looked into fixing it. I would have preferred a one piece ledge but I used three no-nails wall shelves (each shelf comes with Command strips) which I aligned as closely as possible. I also added two new throw pillows to keep with the blue and white theme. Note that the exact area rug sheds a lot (per the item’s description on the website this is normal for the first few months). I wish West Elm’s website included online reviews since I like their aesthetic.

These white loafers were too good to pass up when they were on sale for $52 (60% off) a few weeks ago. They run true to size for me and I like the minimalist bow and non-slip sole. They are also a true white with no yellow undertones.

Our new outdoor furniture also arrived and I was going with a dark grey theme since the railing is black. I still need to get a plant and lights but I’m very happy with how these pieces look together. The wicker chair is slightly uneven even after adjusting the levers on the bottom (I need to call Wayfair to see if they can do anything). The side table was easy to put together and the rug fits our balcony which is an odd width since it’s more narrow towards one end. I’m still trying to decide if we should get an electric grill (eyeing this one) but I’m concerned about the effort of cleaning it between uses.

Our building has a swimming pool but due to COVID-19 it’s only being opened to be cleaned and whether or not we will be able to use it this season is unclear. Ever since they removed the pool cover I keep hearing other residents ask about the status of the pool whenever I’m downstairs to get the mail.

I was curious about this dress and the online reviews said that it ran small so I ordered one size up. Size 2P has a 28″ waist and it’s 34.5″ long so it’s a modest length on me hitting right at the tops of my knees. I didn’t love how this dress fits me perhaps due to sizing up, it’s unlined (but not too sheer with nude undergarments) and the material seems prone to wrinkles.

I was curious about this dress since it looked really comfortable but the material was a bit thinner (unlined) and clingy so it’s prone to showing panty lines. My usual size XS petite was a bit loose on me but I was concerned sizing down would be too snug since I prefer a body skimming fit. The total length is 39″ and for reference I’m 5′ 2.5″ and 106 pounds.

I wanted this tank (with matching shorts that sold out in my size) to work out but it’s a bit looser than I prefer especially at the arm holes so I could see my bra from the sides. Note that these scallop leggings (gifted a while back using an Amazon code) are thinner and I wanted them in black but settled on the ‘deep rose’ color since I wanted to know how size XS fits.

I’m still waiting for the rest of my LOFT and Ann Taylor hauls to arrive but processing and shipping has been delayed as you may have noticed from all of the comments on social media.

Most recently we’re required to wear face coverings in the Boston area even when we’re outside exercising or walking our dogs. From my observation most people are complying with this new requirement both indoors and outside. The black mask I am wearing above is from my husband’s uncle who sent us some disposable face masks all the way from Taiwan.

@petite.blue shared this mask pattern by JETMINMIN here if you’re interesting in making reusable masks with your own fabrics. One pattern is for kids and the other is for adults.

I ordered two black colored reusable masks from Vivian Chan in mid-April but I still have yet to receive them.

Thanks for stopping by!
